Mistaken Match: Marrying the Enigmatic CEO

“Emmanuel!”

“Uncle Emmanuel!”

Roselynn and the others shouted; they were so nervous that they forgot to breathe. In this situation, everyone believed that Emmanuel was undoubtedly done for!

However, Emmanuel did not give up. He turned and was about to jump to the top of the Ferris wheel when he suddenly felt a strong sense of danger. Years of battlefield experience made him instinctively tilt his head to avoid whatever it was. Ping!

A bullet hit the Ferris wheel, eliciting intense sparks which were unfortunately soon overshadowed by the sparks caused by the collapsing Ferris wheel itself. Emmanuel quickly looked down and saw Hubert aiming an air gun at him with a crazed look on his face.

Crushed by the Ferris Wheel “Die! Die, Emmanuel!” Hubert looked possessed, his eyes bloodshot as he stared at Emmanuel. If he couldn’t kill Emmanuel now, he wouldn’t give up.

However, Emmanuel looked at him with a hint of contempt and jumped directly from the Ferris wheel.

“How dare you underestimate me? I will kill you! I will kill you!” Hubert was driven close to insanity because of Emmanuel and didn’t even realize the danger in front of him as he held the air gun, ready to shoot in Emmanuel’s direction.

“Sir! It’s dangerous!” Upon hearing the exclamation behind him, Hubert suddenly realized that a huge shadow was approaching him. The outline of the Ferris wheel grew larger and larger until it engulfed him.

“Arghhh!” Hubert let out a heart-wrenching scream which was soon drowned out by the deafening sound of the Ferris wheel crashing to the ground. The entire amusement park felt like it had experienced an earthquake.

“Manny!”

“Emmanuel!”

After the commotion, everyone was unable to recover for a while. Roselynn and Tia were eventually the first to react, rushing out of the water park toward where Emmanuel had fallen.

“Save me! I can’t swim!” Jaxton coughed as his head finally emerged from the water. He waved his hand while calling for help, but no one paid attention to him at that moment.

“Emmanuel!” Roselynn, with slightly longer legs than Tia, reached Emmanuel first.

“Roselynn, I’m fine!” Emmanuel grinned. This was nothing compared to the life-and-death situations he had faced in the Northern Region years ago.

“You scared me!” Roselynn rushed over and hugged Emmanuel tightly. Tia looked at this scene, feeling a mix of emotions since she also wished she could give Emmanuel a hug like Roselynn did without any reservations.

In what capacity, though? As a future sister-in-law? Would that be appropriate?

Soon, Ryder, Rhea, and Tommy also arrived. Seeing that everyone was fine, Emmanuel felt relieved but was shocked when he turned around.

“Arghhh!” Tia saw the horrifying scene beneath the Ferris wheel and let out a scream. Even Roselynn, a tough woman, was too scared to look.

Rhea, being a medical professional, was a little afraid too but still instinctively walked forward. Hubert’s head was trapped under the frame of the Ferris wheel, and his entire head was deformed! Blood flowed everywhere as his legs struggled desperately, indicating that he was not dead yet.

The amusement park staff arrived, but the Ferris wheel was too heavy and they couldn’t figure out a way to pull Hubert out.

“Emmanuel, can you save him?” Rhea knew that Emmanuel had to have the ability to do so. As a medical professional, she couldn’t just stand by and watch no matter who the victim was after all.

Emmanuel sighed inwardly and walked toward Hubert. Hubert’s gaze pierced through the gaps in the steel bars of the Ferris wheel as he looked at Emmanuel, desperately moving his legs from side to side as if trying to convey something.

No! He absolutely did not want Emmanuel to save him and would rather die than owe this b*stard a favor, especially when it was a lifesaving one!
