“Claude, are you talking about some myth here?”

Even Emmanuel, for all his experience, couldn’t wrap his mind around this story.

If he believed it, everything he had known for the past thirty years would collapse in on itself.

“Believe it or not, it doesn’t matter,” Claude said with a shrug, his voice casual.

He wasn’t about to force Emmanuel to accept anything. “Master seemed to know you’d be coming soon. He asked me to tell you this.”

“Master?”

Emmanuel’s surprise deepened, his mind spinning.

Looking back, he remembered for the first time he met his master. There had always been something about him, a presence, an aura of wisdom and grace that felt… otherworldly.

At first, Emmanuel had thought it was just the air of a world-renowned doctor. But now, a though crept into his mind: “Could Master be some kind of immortal? One of the legendry three?”

There had always been rumors about the Ghost Doctor being one of them, but Emmanuel wasn’t sure. Now, he needed to hear it from Claude.

“Haha…”

Claude let out a hearty laugh, his amusement obvious. After a pause, he answered. “Hasn’t Master told you? He was once revered in the mortal world for saving lives. People even called him a god. Some thought he was one of the three gods. But he isn’t a god, not exactly. He’s… beyond the mortal realm.”

Emmanuel listened, eyes wide, waiting for more.

Claude continued. “Master is over a hundred years old. He’s cultivator from the Immortal Peak, but all his gifts went into healing. He’s kind-hearted, dedicated to helping people, both in the secular world and up here on the mountain. He’s respected everywhere, even by the three gods.”

Emmanuel nodded slowly, his thoughts returning to the fist time he met his master.

It was when Commander Adkins had sent him to the Northern Region to heal.

That day, he saved hundreds of soldiers’ lives in one single stroke. It was nothing short of a miracle.

“Master doesn’t’ seek power.” Claude went on. “He doesn’t try to build influence up on Immortal Peak. But his skills are unmatched, and that’s why everyone respects him, even the three gods.”

Claude paused for a moment, then added, “Master’s busy with other matters right now, so he can’t meet with you. But he’s been watching the world closely. He predicted that, sooner or later, you’d have to confront one of the three gods who came down to the mortal realms.”

“One of the three gods?”

Emmanuel blinked, still trying to grasp the enormity of what he was hearing. “You mean those three gods who’ve lived for over 1800 years?”

“Exactly.”

Claude nodded. “And it was only when those two gods descended to the mortal realm that they realized, without enough spiritual energy, even their immortal bodies would age-and eventually, die.”

“Two?”

Emmanuel’s thoughts raced as the pieces started to fall into place.

“Yes,” Claude confirmed.

“After the great war in the cultivation world nearly destroyed the planet, the three gods made a pact. They vowed never again to be tempted by mortal desires, to never again fight for power.”

“But one of them couldn’t resist. He came down to the mortal realm, trying to rule the world. He wanted ultimate power, but he also wanted to remain immortal. So, he shattered the Sun Stone and threw the pieces down the mountain. His plan was to collect them and build a mobile base, one filled with the Sun’s spiritual energy, a new place to live.”

“By doing this, he could use his immortal body to send word to the world far millennia!”

Emmanuel’s mind snapped into place. The pieces clicked. He couldn’t help himself. “Does this mean the two Heart of the Sun pieces I have are from the Sun Stone he shattered all those years ago?”

“Looks like it, yeah.”

Claude paused, scratching his chin. “The Sun Stone that fell on this mountain wasn’t just a small rock. It was massive, bigger than you could imagine. He didn’t take it all. Just the largest piece. The rest? Still up there, powering the mountain. The spiritual energy it holds? It’ll last at least ten thousand years.”

Emmanuel sucked in a breath, his mind racing.

He’d felt the raw power of the Heart of the Sun before. The thought of the others still up there, soaking in that energy day in and day out, made his head spin.

No wonder Dicky had made such a leap in strength.

The Holy Trinity had always chased after the Heart of the Sun. Now it made sense they had t know its origin. They had to know its power.

But if that god was behind it all… was the Holy Trinity not working with him?

Claude, oblivious to the turmoil in Emmanuel’s mind, kept going. “That god who cam down to the mortal realm, he wanted to rule it all. He used the Eagle Nation to start a war. A war that nearly turned into the Third World War.”

“To stop it from tearing the world apart, another god came down. He stopped the first one, sure. But that wasn’t the end of it. The threat didn’t just vanish.”

Claude leaned forward slightly, voice low. “According to Master’s predictions, Chanaea and the Eagle Nation are going to clash again. This war? It’s inevitable. The only way to stop it to crush that god’s ambition before it consumes everything.”

Emmanuel nodded slowly. His mind reeled. Master has seen this all coming? Long before it was happening? But there was still one thing he had to know.

“Who are these two gods? Where are they now?”

Claude sighed, shrugging, “I don’t know. One’s still pulling strings in the Eagle Nation, lurking in the shadows. The other? He’s in hiding, keeping to himself.”

Claude’s smile was brief, almost a smirk. “But Master said you’re the prophesied child. The one who will meet these gods, the one who can stop the world from tearing itself apart.”

Emmanuel couldn’t help it. He let out a short laugh.

The prophesied child? Seriously?

“Thanks for all the info, Claude, but I still need to see Master. I’ve got other business to take care of, and I need you to help me get that meeting.” Emmanuel thanked Claude.

Claude sighed again, a little frustrated.

“Master’s busy. He’s got other things to handle, so he can’t see you right now. If he could, I wouldn’t be the one telling you all of this.”

Emmanuel’s frown deepened. “I have to see him. Santiago, my other master, and my best friend… they’re badly hurt. Only Master can save them. I need to see him now.”

Claude looked at him, unimpressed.

“You’re going to have to wait. Maybe half a month.”

Emmanuel’s eyes hardened. “Claude, listen to me. I’m leading Chanaea now. I’m heading to Tocvale. Half a month? I don’t have that long. Not even half a day. I have to see Master right now.”

“Absolutely not!”

Claude’s voice cracked with urgency, his face pale with concern. “Master’s final warning was clear. He said never to open the mountain’s secret portal. No matter how powerful you get, even if you wipe out the Eagle Nation with Chanaea’s might, don’t even think about setting foot on this mountain.”

Emmaneul’s brow tightened. Deep creases fronting in his forehead.

The weight of Claude’s words settled in. The seriousness, the raw panic in his voice, and the fact that Master himself had warned him… it was enough to make him hesitate. Charging in without fully understanding the stakes could lead to disaster.

Claude paced back and forth, his hands clasped behind his back, deep in thought. After a long moment, he stopped and spoke again, his voice steadier now. “Alright. Here’s what we’ll do. Tell me exactly what happened to them. Their injuries, everything. If you have pictures, even better. I’ll pass the info to Master as soon as he’s free. If he can make it, he’ll come down and treat them. If not, I’ll get the prescription and handle it myself.”

Emmanuel mind spun. He had to save Old Master and Rhett. But right now, this was his only option.

Luckily, before heading to Eastern Star Mountain, he’d seen Commander Adkins. He didn’t’ just have photos, he had videos too. With master’s skill, that forage would be enough to guide him on the treatment.

With a heavy heart, Emmanuel passed the information to Claude and gave Eve instructions to handle the details. Then, without wasting any more time, he turned and descended from the mountain. His pace quickened, his thoughts racing toward Tocvale.

He had already received word from the Northern Region. The Ashdon Nation had gained Eagle Nation’s support, and once again, they were causing trouble in Chanaea southern seas.

The president had issued a secret command. In these three days, they were to hit them hard, so hard that they’d never forget the pain.
