“Mackenzie, you’ve finally come to visit me!” Dragonicus exclaimed when he saw her. Despite his frail condition, he sprang from his bed and moved toward her eagerly.
Mackenzie, however, stepped back, maintaining some distance. With a polite smile, she reminded him, “Commander Sheffield-Grey, I’m a married women, and I must preserve my dignity.”
Recognizing his personality, she refrained from reprimanding him directly and instead emphasized her need to maintain respect for herself.
Even so, Dragonicus still furrowed his brows tightly and, in his fury, kicked the chair beside him across the room.

The soldiers guarding outside were startled by the noise. Just as they were about to rush in, Elric quickly stopped them, saying, “This isn’t your concern, Stay back!”
The soldiers quickly returned to their posts.
“D*mn it ! How is it that Emmanuel got ahead of me as well?” Dragonicus muttered angrily, pacing back and forth.
Mackenzie, unfazed, smiled and replied, “Commander Sheffield-Grey, there are many women who are more beautiful and virtuous than I am. If you’d like, I can introduce you to a few.”
“Impossible!” he immediately replied. “You’re the daughter of that lady. There’s no one more beautiful than you!”
“That lady?” Mackenzie raised an eyebrow. “Are you referring to my mother?”
At her words, Mackenzie pulled out her phone and shoed him a picture of her mother, which she had prepared earlier. Upon seeing it, Dragonicus’ eyes winded. He immediately grabbed the phone from her hand. “Yes, that’s her! It must be your mother!”
Mackenzie nodded, feeling a wave of emotion herself. She was eager to learn more about her mother, so she asked. “Where did you meet my mother all those years ago?”
“In Greywood!” Dragonicus replied without hesitation. “I joined the Tocvale Army because I wanted to find out why such a beautiful lady was there. When I first saw her, she looked like an angel descending from the heavens… No, even better – Selene! She was divine, with an aura so pure and noble, as if she were from another world.”
She could see how deeply her mother had affected Dragonicus. He was clearly captivated by her, though it wasn’t as intense as his feelings for her mother. He truly likes my mom, and I’m just a convenient substitute.

“Indeed, I did! I discovered that my dad was one of your mom’s suitors!” he revealed, causing Mackenzie’s eyes to widen with surprise. She remained quiet, letting him continue.
“After I become Tocvale Commander, I dug deeper and discovered that she had once been the Saintess of the Holy Fire organization. Their headquarters is actually located in a country on the southern coast of Chanaea, near Tocvale!”
“The headquarters of the Holy Fire organization is in the south of Chanaea?” Mackenzie asked, her interest piqued.
“Yes,” he confirmed. “The Ashdon Nation is under their control!”
At this, her eyes widened again. So the Holy Fire organization has already taken control of a small country?
