Chapter 2102; There’s a Possibility of Mistakes When Choices Are Made

Emmanuel walked up to the door with a stern expression. No one paid him any attention-all eyes were on the woman inside..

At a glance, Emmanuel could tell that these were the spoiled sons of wealthy families and powerful officials, here for leisure. Many of them were indulging themselves with women for entertainment. They subconsciously assumed that the woman inside was also available, albeit in a more subtle way. For some reason, these men were drawn to this kind of ty. Among them, a few were highly drunk, shouting in front of the door and kicking it violently in their drunken rage.

Noticing Emmanuel’s inclination to intervene, Nathan leaned in and said, “Master, the man kicking the door is Rylen Hickman. His aunt married into the Lannister family, so he enjoys considerable influence in Zovince. As for the others with him, they’re sons of prominent figures in Zovince’s business and political circles. Each one has a powerful background-definitely not people an ordinary person would want to cross!”

Emmanuel nodded, briefly contemplating the gravity of the situation. He decided not to act hastily. The club’s doors weren’t easily breached, and despite Rylen’s aggressive behavior, his efforts were futile.

“I want to go in and see exactly who’s inside. Wait here for me!” Emmanuel commanded abruptly.

Though he trusted Magnus to calculate the perfect time and place to confront Maxwell, he felt uneasy about the approach. Until now, he had been left in the dark, unclear about the whole situation. I can’t rely on instinct alone can I?

“Okay, Master!” Nathan nodded with a smile. He had no idea what Magnus, had planned, but his mindset differed from Emmanuel’s. He was filled with anticipation and curiosity for the present moment and what was yet to come.

Suddenly, Emmanuel reached out and flung. Rylen, who was making a scene at the door, backward.

Rylen landed with a heavy thud, leaving the onlookers stunned. No one had expected anyone to dare lay hands on the Hickman family’s young master so decisively.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” Rylen regained his senses and shouted, immediately pointing at Emmanuel.

Rylen’s friends and companions instantly surrounded Emmanuel, their expressions hostile and unwelcoming. But Emmanuel had no time for these idle, pleasure-seeking wastrels. With an enraged roar, he sent them stumbling back, their bravado quickly fading into fear. By the time they gained their senses, he had already, by some mysterious means, unlocked the door effortlessly and slipped inside, with the door locking securely behind him.

“What just happened?” “Is that guy a magician? How did he pull that off?” Outside, they were all stunned. Many began kicking the door forcefully, but while the entrance had yielded so easily to Emmanuel, it now seemed impenetrable. Their attempts were proving useless.

After securing the door, Emmanuel ventured deeper into the room.

Soon, a graceful figure appeared before him. Her fingers delicately glided”, over a piano, yet no sound was produced. Each movement was as mesmerizing as a painting, leaving one utterly enchanted.

Emanuel couldn’t help but take in the woman before him. She was dressed in white gauze with an almost otherworldly beauty. She couldn’t be older than her twenties-certainly not the celebrated Music Saint of over thirty years. Unless, of course, she had some miraculous rejuvenation, like the legendary old figures.

After a pause, the woman’s voice startled Emmanuel. “Mr. Lowe, do you find me so captivating?”

“My apologies! I didn’t mean it!” Emmanuel quickly smiled awkwardly before asking, “Your name is Mia? Do you know me?”

“Yes.” Mia nodded, gesturing for him to sit. “Please, Mr. Lowe, take a seat. I’ve already prepared tea, and I’m waiting for your arrival so we can converse.

Emmanuel, respecting her invitation, took a seat across from her. While Mia doesn’t possess the breathtaking beauty of my wife, her pure and innocent charm is in a league of its own.

“Ms. Mia, how did you know I would come?” Emmanuel asked.

“It was Mr. Magnus who informed me. He’s a friend of mine,” she replied. Emmanuel was momentarily stunned but then chuckled. “That makes ether Magnus is excellent at deduction-he can predict just about anything. When he mentioned you’d come, I was looking forward to it,” Mia said with a smile.

“Why?” Emmanuel asked, a hint of curiosity in his gaze, before joking, “Don’t tell me you’ve been admiring me from afar?*

“Hehe, not quite!” After serving the tea, Mia began to explain, “Actually, I only knew of you because Mr. Magnus mentioned you. He told you’re a disciple of Mr. Santiago.” “Oh, you know my master too?” Emmanuel’s eyes lit up with interest.

Mia nodded. “Yes. My master and your master had a private conversation thirty years ago during a pivotal moment in the presidential election.”

“So, your master is the Music Saint?” Emmanuel asked.

Mia nodded. “Back then, my master played a piece personally for Maestro Moretti, whose dance captivated the entire city, shaping Chanaea’s destiny for thirty years.”

Emmanuel nodded in appreciation. “A remarkable story indeed!”

“Yet, to this day, my master is still unsure whether her choice was right or wrong. She often says that when we do nothing, we avoid mistakes. But the moment we act, we’re making a choice–and with that choice comes the risk of error.”

Emmanuel frowned slightly, puzzled. “The Music Saint believes she may not have done the right thing back then?”

“She believed she was right. But now, she sees it differently, thinking that only by doing nothing can we avoid mistakes because once we act, there’s a chance it could be wrong,” Mia replied.

Emmanuel’s frown deepened. “How can one live in this world without doing anything?”

“Exactly, and that’s what I believe, so I chose to come see you! After that night of discussion between my master, Santiago, and Maestro Moretti, they decided to support Artemis as the president, bringing Chanaea to its current state. I hope that after speaking with you, I can find a candidate I feel confident supporting for the next president,” Mia explained.

“You want to know who I support?” Emmanuel asked.

“Yes, your opinion matters greatly to me,” Mia admitted.

“I support Ethan,” Emmanuel answered plainly. Though Mia was relatively unknown to him, she could hold some sway as a disciple of the Music Saint. Her support for Ethan could potentially lead to unexpected advantages.

“Why? Is it just because he’s been Artemis‘ deputy for years?” Mia asked, not surprised by his choice but curious to know more.

“Not at all! I support him because, in my eyes, he’s a good official. He’s done a lot of practical work for the people of Chanaea, like the recent disaster relief efforts,” Emmanuel replied honestly.

“Isn’t that just part of his job?” Mia questioned immediately.
