Dragon Raja 5

“When prey does appear, the hounds have no choice but to pounce.” Isabel returned her gaze. “What about you?”

Victoria was silent for a moment, “I’ll jump on him too.”

“Even though that man saved your life in Brazil?”

“I’m grateful to him, but this isn’t my business. We can’t let someone who looks like a dragon king run around the world,” Victoria said. “No one in the Snowdon family would let a dragon go.”

She was not a wild hybrid, but came from the long-standing Snowdon family. Her family had produced many dragon slayers, and even the family emblem had a pattern of St. George slaying a dragon.

Humans and dragons cannot coexist. This is what she was taught since childhood and also the lesson she learned from bloody history.

“The honor of our family?” Isabel smiled.

“It’s the Creed,” Victoria said.

“My situation is similar to yours. Personal feelings are personal matters and can never override the mission.” Isabel said, turned around and returned to the cabin.

Victoria looked at her lonely back and suddenly understood why they were specially designated by the Elders Council as members of the Tokyo Hunt. They all came from similar mixed-blood families and knew how to abide by the creed. The academy’s student files contained the past of each of them. They were trustworthy, just like purebred hunting dogs.

It is really a tight organization. When faced with challenges, the secret party exposed its true face. It is not an educational institution, but a violent organization.

Victoria then overlooks the city, with a helicopter flying over a huge billboard showing a girl holding a tube of toothpaste and smiling, revealing her white teeth.

Suddenly she was reminded of the city in “Blade Runner”, so huge and lush, like a forest of billboards and neon lights.

I really hope that the prey will just get lost in this forest and never appear again, then the mission will have nothing to do with them.

“Come on, have a can of hot coffee and get back to work.” Crow came back with hot coffee bought from the vending machine and gave a can to each person.

Nuonuo and Lu Mingfei leaned against a telephone pole to sober up. Nuonuo’s face was a little pale again, this time not because of fatigue, but because she vomited after drinking too much. It seemed that the video of her father really made her very unhappy. She drank more and more, and finally they drank all the beer in the refrigerator.

Chu Zihang stood beside her with a bottle of mineral water, pouring water into Nuonuo’s palm and letting her wash her face.

These two are a loving mother and a filial son, Lu Mingfei thought.

He drank quite a bit too, though not to the point of losing control like Nuonuo. They were in a huge crisis, and they shouldn’t have drunk so much, but drinking made them relax and temporarily put aside many troubles.

He really wanted to find out the truth, but he also wanted to flee aimlessly with Nuonuo, walk into any store to buy some alcohol, and act recklessly and arrogantly, just like the two women in “Thelma and Louise”.

“Caffeine will accelerate the absorption of alcohol. She will get more drunk after drinking coffee.” Chu Zihang stared at the coffee can. Lu Mingfei knew he was looking at the caffeine content.

Lu Mingfei thought, “She’s a good kid who even keeps the temperature of milk constant for me.” But before Chu Zihang could find her, Nuonuo had already gulped down half the can in one gulp.

“Let’s go! Go back and continue working!” Nuonuo took a deep breath and stood up straight. “We can always find some clues.”

“That’s right! There’s only one truth!” Lu Mingfei patted Chu Zihang’s shoulder, “Hold your sister. I think she can hardly walk in a straight line.”

Chu Zihang immediately supported Nuonuo’s arm, and suddenly he felt like the young eunuch was helping the empress dowager to attend court.

“Mr. Lu, don’t you have a powerful bloodline? How can such a powerful guy like you get drunk?” Crow held a cigarette in his mouth and twisted his body as he walked forward.

“I’m not drunk, I’m just a little dizzy.”

“Why did I come up with such a complicated plan? If I had known you’d get drunk, I would have just had a big drink with you and then had someone kill you.”

“So you think too much of me. If I were really that powerful, why would I run away? I would just confront the people from the Executive Department head-on.”

Everyone was talking nonsense as they walked along the long street. The wind was blowing gently and wild cats were rummaging through the trash cans for food.

The street suddenly lit up, and Lu Mingfei half-thought it was daybreak. Looking up, he realized it was the large screen on the building in front of him that had lit up. They weren’t in the core business district, so the advertising screens here were off in the middle of the night, since few people were watching anyway.

The middle-aged man who looked like a warrior terracotta warrior appeared on the screen, glanced at the speech in his hand, and began to speak like a government spokesperson:

“Mo Tong, if you can see this video, please watch it to the end. This is advice from your family. You are in great danger, and the person you are traveling with has potential violent tendencies…”

“Damn it, why is this such a killjoy?” Nuonuo cursed.

“At the request of the college’s agent, this video will be broadcast eight times a day on all the city’s advertising screens. You said it was okay, so I let them broadcast it,” Crow said. “But I told them to schedule it during less popular times, so not many people will see it.”
