Just as Beowulf glared at him, a sharp siren sounded outside.

Everyone looked outside in surprise, where the CC1100 express train was undoubtedly pulling into the station. For them, the most important thing was family survival and living peacefully within human society.

They sometimes cooperated with the Secret Society and sometimes clashed with them. When faced with a high-risk event like the awakening of the Dragon King, Henri would generously lend his strength to Anjou. However, when it came to dividing the spoils afterward, the true nature of Henri’s gang would revealed.

If the Secret Service was a group of warriors, then Henkel and his gang were a bunch of businessmen with dragon blood flowing through their veins. He should have also learned about the mysterious coordinates from the media, and given his sensitivity, he should have personally flown to the location to take command. Therefore, even towards Anjou, Beowulf still displayed a condescending and somewhat disdainful attitude. But Henkel was different. and even those who wanted to challenge him could only hope for his demise. Moreover, despite coming from a mixed-race community of merchants, he himself was a true warrior, just like the Secret Society members—the kind of person Beowulf had to respect.

“Flamel is in custody, and I cannot allow you to see him. Instead, I would like to ask what prompted the esteemed Henkel to suddenly visit Cassel College,” Beowulf said coldly, “like an intruder.”

“I was invited,” Henkel said slowly. This withered, thin man, who resembled an old cowboy, was just as imposing as the burly Beowulf. “The one who invited me was Hilbert Jean Anjou!”

“He’s been in a coma for almost a year!” Beowulf exclaimed in surprise.

“The invitation was sent to me long before that.” Henkel drew his massive Texas Dawn revolver from his waist, a move that started led everyone. However, he simply ejected a silver bullet from the magazine and rolled it down the table toward Beowulf.

Beowulf put on his glasses and carefully examined the tiny writing on the bullet. The writing even included a cursive signature, and the content was indeed an invitation.

“I used this invitation because there was a problem in northern Siberia and I had to rush to Cassel College to meet him immediately,” Henkel paused, “and from that moment on he was in danger of dying.”

“The principal’s heart was practically ripped open; he’s practically dead,” Mr. Turing said in surprise. “Yet you haven’t even visited him once. Are you suggesting you’re actually his good friend?”

“No, we’ve always been rivals, but those worthy of being my rivals are few and far between in this world, and I hope they all live healthy lives. If there truly is a force capable of eliminating one of my rivals, then it can also eliminate me. In that case, I will certainly accept that rival’s request and rush to his side when that force appears,” Henkel said. “As for the matter of his heart being cut open, he never asked me to do it, and I don’t believe that simply cutting open his heart could kill him.
