She was stalling for time. The negotiations had already collapsed, but she couldn’t just draw her sword yet. She was quickly thinking of a way to escape.

Crow grabbed Lu Mingfei’s hand again and choked himself, then turned around and leaned in Lu Mingfei’s arms. He was very familiar with this set of movements, it was like a duet that he had rehearsed countless times.

“Do I Need to say more? What is my current status? Look at this Issey Miyake-designed suit of mine,” Crow shook his suit and patted the steering wheel, “And look at this antique sports car of mine! You are talking to the person in power of the Snake Eight Clans? Stop calling me Crow and call me by my name, Ryuji Saeki!”

On the mountains near Tokyo, ancient buildings was shrouded in a misty drizzle.

A young man dressed in priest’s attire led the way, taking Lu Mingfei and his three companions through the wooden corridor, with Crow walking at the end with a cigarette in his mouth.

The building looked very old, with moss growing on the stone shrines in the corners. Yet, every detail was exquisitely crafted, even the lamps in front of the Buddha statues were made of glazed glass. Lu Mingfei’s taste for antiques was limited, but he could tell from the patterns on the glass lamps that they were antiques.

The priest stopped in a corner, lit a kerosene lamp on the wall, and opened a hidden door. Behind the door was a simple yet exquisite Japanese-style cottage with only a few pieces of furniture, but as expected, they were all antiques.

“You guys will live here.” Crow took the key from the priest and threw it to Lu Mingfei. “If you need anything, tell the priest and don’t go out too much.”
