Dragon Raja 5

“So you’ve finally shown up?” Lu Mingfei said coldly. “Now that you’re here, let’s get to work!”

He wasn’t out of his mind to indulge in this verbal sparring; he was still pinning his last hope on Lu Mingze. He was betting that the little devil hadn’t given up on him, and that the little devil wouldn’t let him die before he sold his last 1/4 soul.

“I was not coming out for your own good, afraid you’ll act impulsively. You only have 1/4 live left, so you need to use it sparingly. If you say you’ll use it to win over your senior sister, I’ll sign the deal right now without hesitation! If you say you’ll kill him? Using a sledgehammer to crack a nut, that’s a waste.” Lu Mingze spat on little Bunin’s face, right on the bridge of his nose, and it slowly dripped down.

“Why all this nonsense? I’m unhappy! I’m not happy! I’m doing what I want! It’s none of your business!”

“It’s really unnecessary! What kind of lowlife is he? I don’t even think it’s worth wasting 1/4 live to kill him! Let me tell you, someone of his level in the Dragon Clan, let alone reaching the pinnacle, is just someone who trims the toenails of those few supreme beings. And what level are you? Killing him is just a matter of flicking cigarette ash.” Lu Mingze spoke with a tone full of pity and anger at his lack of ambition. “People of different status should do things of their status. He’s not worth your personal involvement, even someone like me who runs errands would find it dirty.”

“Free is fine too!”

“I told you we can’t keep sending big gift packages to customers, right? If we do it too often, they’ll get used to it and stop buying our paid products. They’ll even use it to blackmail the devil.” Lu Mingze sighed. “Fine, I’ll help you sort this out, but it has to be my way.”

“I don’t care what method you use, I just want to see him die! The most gruesome kind!” Lu Mingfei gritted his teeth.

“Isn’t it going to be terrible? I’m just worried that the scale might be too large and affect your physical and mental health, brother!” Lu Mingze snapped his fingers with a smile.

Time immediately resumed its flow, and little Bunin still pounced on Lu Mingfei at lightning speed, his claws flashing with a chilling light, ready to tear Lu Mingfei to pieces in the next moment.

Lu Mingfei did not transform into a dragon, nor did any miracle occur. However, the magical saliva was still stuck on Xiao Bunin’s nose, indicating that the little devil had been there.

Just as the claw blades were about to open Lu Mingfei’s skull, little Bunin suddenly turned around, and all the claw blades withdrew.

Little Bunin blocked Lu Mingfei’s view, so Lu Mingfei didn’t see that behind Little Bunin, a swift black shadow moved at the exact same speed and trajectory as little Bunin, launching a sneak attack on his vest while he was attacking Lu Mingfei.

In the shadowy figure’s hand was the Spider Cutter that Little Bunin had tossed to Christina.

But Little Bunin was faster. The speed of his turn seemed to defy the laws of physics. His claws slashed and cut, unleashing all the accumulated violence onto the dark figure. By the time Lu Mingfei could see clearly, the headless corpse had already fallen at little Bunin’s feet, but the head was still in his hand, with long, silver hair hanging down to the ground as if flowing with starlight.

Little Bunin stared at the severed head, puzzled, probably just as confused as Lu Mingfei about what had happened. Body had been torn apart by the bladed claws, and head had been severed, yet no blood flowed out, because little Bunin had drained all her blood; she was already a corpse.

The expression on that head was serene, much like that of a sleeping person. And she didn’t launch a real attack until the very last moment, simply offering herself up to Little Bunin’s claws.

Only Lu Mingfei could see the boy standing beside the corpse, dressed in a black suit with a white rose tucked into his breast pocket. He took the rose and tossed it onto Christina’s chest.

“My dear daughter, is it your ghost that wants to protect this young man?” Little Bunin asked the head with a puzzled look, then smiled coldly. “Unfortunately, your father is not afraid of ghosts. If ghosts really exist, then the ghost that came to claim my life would make this city quite lively.”

He walked to the edge of the pier, seemingly preparing to throw his daughter’s head into the deep trench.

But he suddenly became alert and slowly turned his head to look. Old Bunin was struggling to get up. An indescribable pressure was emanating from this poor clone. His heartbeat was so strong that everyone could hear it clearly, like the beat of an angry drum.

He stared at the severed head in Little Bunin’s hand, his face rapidly shifting, as if a hideous demon were struggling to break free of his body. Lu Mingfei was horrified. It wasn’t anger or the awakening of some kind of consciousness; it was dragonification. Old Bunin’s bones were violently proliferating and deforming. his bloodied spider-like claws spreading out on his back. As if someone had thrown a torch into a deep well, his eyes lit up, a divine, demonic crimson gold.

Lu Mingfei suddenly understood what was going on. Christina hadn’t come back to life, nor was it a ghost or anything like that. Lu Mingze had simply used Christina’s remains in some way to make Old Bunin witness this scene.

There was indeed another weapon in this space capable of going toe-to-toe with Little Bunin: Old Bunin, who had also been baptized by the Golden Elixir. What he lacked was only anger, and now his anger had been ignited.

Christina’s head hit the ground, and the two rushed toward swords at incredible speeds. Almost identical individuals, having undergone the same baptism, had evolved into equally similar forms. The weapon would determine the victor.

Lu Mingfei slumped to the ground, staring blankly as the two young Alexander Bunin brandished their swords, roaring and fighting wildly, their claws slicing across the ground like swordsmen wielding seven or eight blades simultaneously.

Every clash of weapons scattered sparks, and every advance and retreat wove a vast net.

Lu Mingze carried a basket and sat down next to Lu Mingfei. He opened it, and inside was a hamburger and a large Coke—the classic combo for watching a baseball game. He seemed to have come specifically for the game, and somehow pulled out a baseball cap and put it on his head.

“Don’t go up there to help, okay? If you don’t transform, rushing in is no different than rushing into a blender.” Lu Mingze handed over a hot hamburger. “A Shake Shack hamburger from New York, it’s delicious.”

Lu Mingfei shook his head. “No, I don’t want to eat it. You eat it.”

Lu Mingze ate his hamburger and drank his cola while keeping Lu Mingfei company.

“Great! One more stab and it’ll be a home run!”

“Yes! The monkey is stealing peaches… no, I mean, we’re going to strike at his base! We need to hit him in the groin!”

Lu Mingze kept commenting, while Lu Mingfei remained silent, like a monk or a puppet.
