Dragon Raja 5; Chapter 350: For Your Majesty (165)

Dragon Raja 5

He pointed to the sky with his finger holding a cigarette, “From today onwards, I am free! No matter the cost, I am willing! No one can stop me!”

He tried to say something more, but the butt of a rifle struck him in the lumbar region, nearly knocking him off the pier.

Alexander Bunin, the poor replica, dropped his rifle, picked up the spider-slicer from the ground, and staggered toward the gauze curtain. His eyes were vacant; he had probably bled to death, and it was unclear what was still supporting his mangled body.

“Christina…Christina…” he repeated the name over and over, as if it were a scripture that could redeem him.

“Christina, I’ve come to save you!” he suddenly roared, raising the Spider Cutter high and breaking through the last veil. The long blade pierced through Christina, who was eating, from top to bottom.

“No! No!” Little Bunin screamed.

But he couldn’t rush over to stop him because Lu Mingfei had locked his throat with one hand.

The spider-slayer let out a high-pitched cry, its ferocious nature erupting as the demon-slaying blade touched the dragon’s blood. Christina roared in fury, turning and plunging her hand into old Bunin’s chest, his blood splattering all over her face.

Old Bunin made no sound; he stepped closer to Christina and embraced the hideous monster tightly.

If we ignore the weapons they’ve thrust into each other’s chests, it was an embrace of long-awaited reunion, and there should be warm sunshine on their shoulders.

Old Bunin stroked Christina’s long, shimmering hair. “That’s right…that’s right…Hell is far away, Daddy will be with you…”

As he spoke, he twisted the knife handle violently to widen the wound and completely shred the heart inside. Christina screamed as her claws pierced out from old Bunin’s back.

But this could not change her fate. She lost a lot of blood, all of which was precious golden holy nectar. Even her offspring could not control their thirst for that blood, tilting their heads back and opening their mouths, waiting for the blood to splatter like rain into their mouths.

The decay that had been brought under control returned to Christina. She withered away at a visible rate, her scales peeling off and her long hair falling out piece by piece. She stared silently at old Bunin with her strange eyes.

She suddenly opened her nostrils, sniffed old Bunin, and let out a long sigh. A long silence followed, and tears of blood welled from her golden compound eyes. She lowered her head, bit old Bunin’s neck, and held him tightly, giving him no chance to struggle.

“I can go to that kind of place myself.” She slowly pushed old Bunin away, and old Bunin stared in horror.

He was severely injured and should have been dead, but a tremendous force flowed through his veins like a torrent of fire, healing every wound he had.

Christina did not eat; instead, she injected her blood into old Bunin’s carotid artery. Surprisingly, the precious golden elixir did not cause any rejection in old Bunin, because they shared the same blood.

The hideous serpent, or rather, the radiant holy child, collapsed to the ground, within the wreath of flowers formed by her own offspring. Her loving father also collapsed, and suddenly he could breathe again, and he cried out in anguish into the darkness.

Little Bunin finally broke free from Lu Mingfei’s control. He stumbled and ran toward Christina, looking utterly lost, like a ghost wandering in the underworld.

His plans and ambitions for the world were ruined by a lowly human being, and what’s laughable was that the human being was someone he created himself—a puppet, a substitute who should have no soul and only obey orders.

He picked up Christina’s body. At this moment, the snake’s scales had completely peeled off, and if it weren’t for that terrifying long tail, she would have looked just like the bright and beautiful girl she once was.

“Wake up! Wake up!” Little Bunin stared with bloodshot eyes, shaking Christina. The girl only exhaled bloodshot bubbles, and her golden compound eyes gradually turned pale and dim.

Little Bunin suddenly quieted down, slowly pulled the long knife from her heart, and tossed it aside. He lay down beside the still-wet wound and began to suckle it vigorously.

Lu Mingfei was stunned. He felt angry, but even more disgusted. Even Herzog, that despicable scoundrel, had never disgusted him like this. This man who had sent his daughter to the altar was not even letting go of her last bit of value; he wanted to use the still-warm golden holy nectar to evolve on his own.

Christina was powerless to resist. She looked up at the dark sky, letting her own father, the ghoul, lie on top of her. Her heart had stopped beating and could no longer pump blood. Little Bunin grabbed the spider cutter and slit open her throat, continuing to suck the remaining blood.

“You fucking lunatic! You fucking lunatic! Lunatic! Lunatic!” Lu Mingfei roared.

“Christina…Christina…” Old Bunin cried bitterly, but he couldn’t even stand up.

“No one! No one! Can stop me!” Little Bunin raised his head, his face covered in Christina’s blood. His heart pounded, like when the first boy hatched, accompanied by a faint rumble of thunder.

Elemental turbulence has arrived, and a new monster was being born from Little Bunin’s body. There was no rejection reaction between Christina’s blood and Old Bunin’s blood, nor with his biological father.

He ingested even more of the golden holy elixir, and evolution immediately descended upon him. His entire skeleton cracked with a crisp sound as it grew and mutated. His bulging blood vessels looked as if they were about to burst his skin, but they didn’t. Instead, it was black scales and exoskeleton that pierced his skin.

As he endured the pain of evolution, Christina’s offspring gathered around her. With little golden nectar left to share, they licked Christina’s body like wild beasts.

But their feeding didn’t last long. Little Bunin grabbed a boy by the neck from behind, and the white threads spitting out from the scales pierced his neck like swords. The boy struggled for only a few seconds before his head drooped.

The children stood frozen in place. They were descendants of Christina, descendants of Bunin, and had lost their ability to judge while receiving the gift, blindly obeying their bloodline. Bunin laughed maniacally, drawing blood from them one by one, reclaiming Christina’s gift.

He abandoned one withered child after another, each drop of blood and every helping him reach the pinnacle. His pupils began to split, like cell division, dividing in two, then in four, until crystal-clear, golden eyes, devoid of pupils, filled his entire eye sockets. The skin on his back swelled, and massive wing bones, dripping with blood, protruded one after another, like a giant spider crawling along his spine.
