Dragon Raja 5; Chapter 342: For Your Majesty (157)

Dragon Raja 5

A beam of light descended from the sky, and within the beam, a person holding onto an iron chain landed on the pier.

“My dear child, how can you be alone? There are many like you in the world, such as me.” The man knelt down before Christina as if he were paying homage to a king.

The man slowly raised his head, and he looked exactly like a young Alexander Bunin.

He was young and handsome, with confidence and determination in his eyes. If he weren’t standing among a pile of corpses, everyone would be captivated by his charismatic leadership.

“You damn bastard!” Finger was the first to speak, his voice filled with malice.

“Quiet,” Lu Mingfei sighed.

Cursing won’t help; they should kill Christina before this man arrives.

Perhaps he still couldn’t bear it, feeling that the girl was still living inside the snake’s body, so he kept missing opportunities.

The man who had always remained hidden behind the curtain finally appeared, radiating glory, to clean up the mess, sweep away the spoils of victory. They were the ones destined to be swept away.

But he didn’t have time to deal with Lu Mingfei and his group yet; he had to deal with Christina first. She was no longer the girl who shouted slogans but was ignorant of the ways of the world; she had won the dragon’s heart, and from then on, she was unbreakable.

Lu Mingfei found a small crack in her heart, but it was nothing. In the face of absolute strength, even the biggest crack can be repaired.

Her gaze towards Bunin was cold, devoid of sadness, joy, or resentment. Lu Mingfei could guess the man’s identity, and so could she, but she had already severed ties with the past, and therefore felt no joy in reuniting with a loved one.

The wing bone sprayed viscos fluid towards the steel cable, and Christina vanished abruptly. The next moment, she descended vertically along the silken threads she had laid, staring face-to-face at Little Bunin, their noses almost touching.

“Alexander Bunin, the real Alexander Bunin.” Her voice was chillingly cold.

“It’s me, my dear child. Fate has finally returned you to me,” Little Bunin said softly.

Christina’s delicate nostrils twitched; her sense of smell seemed to have replaced her vision as her most relied-upon sensory organ. “This human, who calls himself a father, smells nauseating.” She finished smelling it and gave a cold critique, like a gourmet finishing a very unsatisfactory dish.

“I’m so sorry to disappoint you, my dear child. But you are so beautiful, just like I dreamed of you.” Little Bunin’s expression was earnest.

It sounded like flattery, but he spoke with great emotion, as if the person in front of him was not a terrifying monster, nor a long-lost daughter, but a goddess who had been born into the world.

Lu Mingfei suddenly heard a slight cracking sound. He looked down and saw that Chu Zihang was still kneeling on the ground, but there was a crack on his right shoulder.

The mucus had hardened, forming a transparent shell, like the hard shell on a mummy, but easier to break free of than before it solidified. Breaking through the crack had exhausted Chu Zihang’s strength; he gasped for breath, staring at the spider cutter in Lu Mingfei’s hand.

Lu Mingfei understood what he meant; he wanted a weapon, while Tongziqie was firmly stuck to the ground.
Lu Mingfei’s hand was also covered in sticky fluid, stiff as if it were in a cast. He gritted his teeth, clenched his fist so hard that the skin on the back of his hand tore, and then slightly loosened the handle of the knife, letting it fall. Chu Zihang silently caught it.

With the precious sword in hand, Lu Mingfei didn’t understand what he wanted to do. His legs were firmly still stuck to the ground, and the only use of the sword was to commit suicide.

Chu Zihang held his sword across his chest, his expression resolute.

“You’re not Zoro. Even if you were, you couldn’t cut off your own leg to fight someone. The massive bleeding would be enough to kill you.” Lu Mingfei quickly spoke up to stop him, not caring whether Christina could hear him.

“I definitely can’t, but I’ve seen your self-healing ability, Senior Brother. Maybe you can.” Chu Zihang stared at Lu Mingfei’s feet.

“Why don’t you wish I were like an earthworm? That way, if you cut me in the waist, I’d grow two senior brothers for you, and we could fight the bad guys together.” Lu Mingfei said with a wry smile.

“You can do that?” Chu Zihang stared wide-eyed in surprise.

“Just kidding, I can’t do it, Deadpool can’t do it either, and my healing factor isn’t enough for me to beat that guy even with both my legs cut off. To be honest, even if you gave me eight legs, I still couldn’t beat him.” Lu Mingfei sighed.

I’ve tried everything, it’s truly a dead end. I came down a dead end anyway, so this outcome doesn’t seem too bad, but I’m inexplicably unwilling to accept it. I want to see the finish line, to see what I really am.

“I’ve imagined our reunion countless times, but I never thought it would be like this. But when I see you, nothing else matters.” Little Bunin said with deep affection.

Lu Mingfei had to admire this guy’s shamelessness. His daughter, who had been abandoned since birth, was described as his precious darling. His eyes never wavered, and his courage was unbelievable.

Because Christina spread her wing bones and extended them over her shoulders, her claws locked onto his head from all sides, like a grotesque execution rack.

Lu Mingfei was expecting Christina to suddenly pierce through this guy’s head, but Christina never did. She just watched him coldly, like a queen watching a clown’s performance, ready to skin him alive at the slightest dissatisfaction.

“You look just like your mother, when she was eighteen, and it breaks my heart. I remember seeing her in a red plaid skirt, sitting by the fountain. It was autumn in Moscow, the happiest autumn of my life…” Little Bunin continued rambling on.

“Shut up, Alexander Bunin. Your daughter is dead. That’s your good fortune. If she were still alive, you would be the person she most wanted to kill,” Christina suddenly interrupted him.

She retracted her wing bone, swam back along the silk thread to the steel cable, and sat lazily, her alluring waist and back curves resembling a mermaid, only her trailing snake tail looked terrifying.

Lu Mingfei was stunned. Had she really completely given up on the past, even letting go of loneliness and anger? Little Bunin, on the other hand, showed a brief look of joy. He seemed to have passed the first test. Christina was not hostile towards him, which allowed him to use his silver tongue.

“No, no, Christina, please let me explain…” Little Bunin stood up and rushed to Christina’s side.
