Dragon Raja 5

He had already pulled out the Dojigiri and the Spider Cutter, and looked around with a cold and stern expression. The magnetic field restart was likely a prelude to the attack, and the enemy had not yet truly appeared.

Lu Mingfei’s heart skipped a beat, and he drew out the short curved knife hidden in his sleeve. His short curved knife and Chu Zihang’s twin swords were both ancient swords forged by alchemy. Regenerated metal can never be magnetized, and at the moment, only they still had weapons available.

“Come with me! Come with me!” Bunin helped Christina up.

In terms of sheer willpower, the intelligence officer was no match for her wicked father, and her sense of justice in eradicating all evil cannot compare to the ruthlessness of “I just want to save my daughter.”

The enemy had appeared. As the wind whipped the curtains open, Lu Mingfei saw dark figures approaching with sails billowing. They were kitesurfing! In such harsh weather, it would be difficult to traverse the vast snowfield with just skis, but these people had kites, like parachutes, strapped to their waists. The strong winds propelled them at high speed across the snow.

Zero was too weak to stand, so Lu Mingfei had to carry her in his arms. People stumbled and fell, following Bunin out through the side door; those who were unable to move were simply left behind. In times like these, the KGB’s elite retinues were less resilient than the pampered guests; the old folks were the ones who had truly weathered many storms, their hearts were hard as iron.

They hadn’t run far when they heard gunshots coming from inside the venue. The dark figures who had come by kitesurfing had already rushed into the venue.

This was a well-prepared attack; the restart of the electromagnetic field was merely a prelude. Lu Mingfei recognized the attackers simply by the gunshots: the renowned GRU special forces AN-94 assault rifles.
Right now, their only hope was Bunin. The roads in this massive circular building were complex, but Bunin knows all the hidden entrances and exits. He deliberately takes the most winding routes to create trouble for the GRU forces that are tracking them.

Maxim and Leonid no longer concealed their skills. They were likely former army commanders, possessing exceptional physiques and rich battlefield experience. Even with their minds in turmoil, they still advanced methodically. They had also found weapons that were effective in this environment: the wide leather belts used by their followers to fasten their military overcoats. The belts themselves were not magnetized, and the heavy copper buckles were made of a highly anti-magnetic material. When wielded, they resembled hammer meteors.

The GRU troops, clad in protective suits and wielding specially manufactured AN94 assault rifles made of engineering plastic, were unaffected by magnetic fields. They were prepared to fight in a strong magnetic field, meaning they knew City 023 intimately and likely had obtained intelligence about the abandoned city through some means. Therefore, Christina was no longer of any use to them; they hadn’t informed this loyal intelligence agent before launching their attack.

The GRU troops were divided into different groups and guarded at various intersections; they likely still had maps of the building.

Leonid swung his belt fiercely, the brass buckle slicing upwards across the GRU warrior’s jaw, leaving a horrific wound. He must have been a master of street brawls in his youth.

Anna had just smashed another soldier’s skull with the heel of her high heel when she turned around and swung her aluminum briefcase at another soldier’s chest.

“Well done, Anna,” Leonid said, panting.

“She was a heroic sniper who killed 118 Germans during the Great Patriotic War, our female Vasily,” Maxim said. “She just need a rifle.”

Before he could finish speaking, Anna had already begun stripping the GRU soldiers of their equipment. A moment later, she picked up the AN-94, made of engineering plastic, and skillfully aimed it in all directions. They now had four people wearing protective suits, all of whom were heroic commanders and soldiers from the Great Patriotic War. Their physiques might not be superior to the GRU soldiers, but their experience and strong mental fortitude were definitely ahead.

The situation was not optimistic; GRU forces have likely sealed off all entrances and exits to the building. They probably came with a kill order, and it’s hard to say who holds the reins of justice in this battle; perhaps both sides deserve to die.

Lu Mingfei didn’t want to get involved in their affairs, but he had no choice but to work with Bunin and the others, as he was unfamiliar with the layout of the giant building.

He felt a vague unease, but not about the Gru forces’ attack; he and Chu Zihang were teamed up, so even if they were fully armed, it wouldn’t matter. What troubled him was a shadowy figure; he had felt someone was following them the entire way. Zero curled up tightly, trembling slightly, and Lu Mingfei had to carry her the whole way.

The others were not having an easy time either. Except for a few with extremely strong wills, everyone else had bloodshot eyes, and some were even shedding tears of blood.

The hallucinations kept following them. Some people would suddenly look behind them nervously, as if a demon was following them. Others would scream, “Germans! The Germans are coming!” But then they would suddenly point upwards and shout, “Look! Those are our planes!”

Lu Mingfei also frequently experienced hallucinations. Sometimes he would feel like he was walking in a cave full of lava, with groups of monkeys on fire chasing after him and running ahead of him. Other times he would think he was walking on the way to Shilan Middle School again, with darkness falling and rain about to fall. An even stranger hallucination was that he was trekking through a dilapidated church with a corridor that seemed to stretch on forever. In his arms was not Ling but Lu Mingze, who was wrapped in a blood-stained white robe like a saint, with nail-pierced wounds on his hands and feet similar to those of Jesus.

Fortunately, the hallucinations caused by this strong magnetic field were not as inescapable as Herzog’s clapper sound; he could still regain a moment of clarity by concentrating.

“Fantastic, my dear Valeryevich! What a beautiful punch!”

“Dear Mr. Popov, your marksmanship is still as accurate as it was in Cuba!”

“Valodya, pick up gun, remember how to use it, and then follow me.” Anna had just taken down a GRU soldier and kicked his weapon to Valodya.

Valodya’s baby face still held a hint of shyness, but the deft way he checked his gun showed he had faced death on the battlefield. He raised his hand and fired; the bullet flew past Anna’s shoulder and pierced the thigh of a GRU soldier. Anna stepped forward, her high-heeled boots stomping on the soldier’s head, and finished him off with a final shot.

After acquiring several protective suits, these seemingly young old guys gradually gained the upper hand, punching and kicking, wielding belts, and with Anna’s gun providing support from behind, they swept through the enemy lines.
