Dragon Raja 5

Lu Mingfei wanted to scream, “Where did you come from, my god? What’s the meaning of hiding under my bed and eavesdropping? Why is there always someone listening in whenever Christina comes to see him?”

“I came to find my senior brother, but he wasn’t there. So I thought I’d wait for you inside. Then she broke in. I thought she was an enemy, so I hid under the bed.” Chu Zihang dusted himself off and looked at Lu Mingfei seriously. “I apologize to my senior brother for what I said earlier.”

“What did you say before?” Lu Mingfei didn’t understand.

“Senior brother, you’re not that kind of person. You only have senior sister in your heart!” The young man said this with a tone of relief.

Lu Mingfei wanted to tell him to get lost! But in the end, he smiled wryly and said, “Since you’re here, how about we have a drink together?”

“So energetic so late at night, could it be that you’re feeling very excited?” Su Enxi said slowly.

In the penthouse suite, on a large bed covered with silk sheets, two girls lay side by side, both staring at the ceiling.

In city 023, Bunin’s service team was quite large, and they all lived in a simple residential building not far away. The conditions were far less comfortable than the apartments for the VIPs, so Su Enxi sneaked into Zero’s room to sleep. In this remote, abandoned city, there weren’t many guards; the vast permafrost was their only guarantee of safety.

“It’s nothing.” A brief reply, as always.

“What heart-to-heart talk did you have when you went out for a rendezvous tonight?” Su Enxi rolled over, playing with the bow on her chest, her eyes sparkling like a big bad wolf.

“You didn’t plant a listening device on me?”

“You only pretended once! It’s not like I’m some kind of ‘eager to know’ about your little things!”

Asked him if he wanted to die in Siberia.

What was his answer?

“He said he don’t want to die, and he also want to know what he really is.”

“You’ve softened your heart for a while now?” Su Enxi pinched Zero’s cheek, seemingly fierce, but actually just playing around. “If you betray boss, you might die! Even though he’s my most beloved little darling, he’ll be furious if you really ruin his plans.”

Zero lay quietly as she kneaded him. “It’s his destiny to go there. Destiny isn’t a script; it can’t be rewritten.”

“Oh dear, fate, you make it sound so serious.” Su Enxi pouted. “Then why are you even asking? Just hurry up and send him on his way!”

“I just want to know what he was thinking,” Zero said softly. “I want to hear his last words.”

“You’ve all figured it out, so why aren’t you hurrying? We’re already in Siberia, just a step away! If you ask me, let’s shake off those guys and set off with Lu Mingfei!”

“It would be best to have Bunin’s help if we were to operate here; this is his territory.”

“It’s just a matter of getting on the road, isn’t it?” Su Enxi snorted. “Girl, are you doubting my financial resources? If Bunin can get it, why can’t I? So what if it’s a Mi-26 helicopter? I’ll get you a whole squadron! You and Lu Mingfei will each ride in one, four will be responsible for escorting you, and two more will be responsible for flying a figure eight ahead to clear the way for you!”

“I also want to know why these people came.”

“What business is it of ours, the arms dealers’ petty business?”

“No, Bunin’s deal is definitely not arms,” Zero said softly. “Besides, these people are all dirty.”

“Not clean?” Su Enxi was taken aback.

“I can analyze the structure of anything I get close to, and living things are no exception. Almost all of these people have dragon blood.”

Su Enxi was taken aback. “A group of mixed-race arms dealers?”

“But none of them are of high-ranking bloodlines. If they were at Cassel College, they probably wouldn’t even qualify as D-rank. But with so many hybrids gathered together, it’s impossible that they don’t know the secrets of the dragon race at all.” Zero paused. “There’s only one exception.”

“Christina?”

“No, the only clean person is Alexander Bunin.”

The night was already deep, and the snow was falling more and more fiercely. The howling of the wind could be heard everywhere in the city of 023.

The tavern was still brightly lit, and the drinking parties in this city never ended. As long as you could still drink another glass, the waiter would always refill your cup with fresh wine.

However, the party lacked a bit of vitality without Christina. More than half of the VIPs left, leaving only the young people that Lu Mingfei had met at Bunin’s house. Sonia, the red-haired girl who once downed two ounces of Moutai at the Bunin family’s dinner table, struck a match and brought it close to the beer glass in front of her. A pale blue flame immediately rose in the glass, which showed how strong the beer was.

The guests at the table applauded. Sonia stood up, grabbed her beer glass, blew out the flame, and drank it down in one gulp, filling the table with cheerful whistles.

This Russian-style drinking game was called “Bear Claw.” It starts with a large glass of beer. The first person takes a sip, then pours in vodka to top it up. The second person takes another sip, and the glass is filled with vodka. They keep drinking in a circle, increasing the alcohol content until it becomes a large glass of pure vodka. When the drink is strong enough to be ignited, the person whose turn it is drinks it all in one gulp, and the game starts again.

They’d been playing this “drink to death” game for half the night, and the only ones still able to keep going at the table were the ones with the highest alcohol tolerance.

Sonia exhaled slowly, releasing almost a breath of pure alcohol vapor.

She leaned back on the sofa, lit a “Moscowman” cigarette, and glanced sideways at the handsome, curly-haired young man to her right, exuding a sophisticated and shrewd charm.

The curly-haired young man smiled and lit a cigarette for Sonia. As he leaned forward, he lowered his head and brazenly peered into Sonia’s low-cut dress. Sonia slapped him on the forehead and pushed him back into her sofa.

“Vishniak, you bastard, why don’t you go see your Miss Christina?” Sonia sneered. “Your eyes were glued to her thighs all night!”

The curly-haired youth, Vishniak, laughed loudly, “Sonia is jealous! Jealous of our young lady!”

Everyone at the table burst into laughter. Someone snapped their fingers, signaling the waiter to bring more beer and vodka, indicating the game was about to continue.

“I heard that during the Great Patriotic War, there was a guy who drank his fill of vodka, lit a cigarette, and the fire burned from his esophagus all the way to his stomach, eventually burning him to death.” Sonia took a deep drag of her cigarette into her lungs, staring at the burning cigarette with a slightly gloomy look in her eyes.

The table suddenly fell silent, and the lively atmosphere instantly turned to freezing cold.
