Lu Mingfei was stunned for a moment and shuddered slightly.

It wasn’t because of Christina’s terrifying metaphor; she was clearly trying to scare him. But he suddenly thought of the large dining table at Bunin’s house. Behind each chair was a portrait, each depicting a person wearing a Soviet-era medal. The people sitting before the portraits were likely their children; their faces were vaguely recognizable. Not one chair too many, not one chair too few. The chairs the three of them were sitting on belonged to those who hadn’t made it to the dinner. Bunin hadn’t prepared a place for his “new friend” because he wouldn’t be attending the dinner the following year.

It’s like a stranded man on a desert island encountering a cannibal bonfire party. He is invited to dinner with a hungry stomach, but finds that the bonfire is empty and there is no tableware for him.

But then he thought, what’s so scary about him? Even if this train is full of ogres, isn’t Lu Mingfei much scarier than them? If an ogre encounters him, it’s their bad luck.

“What about you?” Lu Mingfei asked, “Isn’t this your first time receiving an invitation too?”

“I’m here on behalf of my father. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, he gave Bunin a large weapons warehouse in exchange for foreign currency to buy food.” Christina’s tone waned slightly. “Bunin sold the warehouse short and exchanged it for US dollars.”

But she immediately emphasized, “If he hadn’t done that, many babies and elderly people would have died that winter!”

Lu Mingfei thought for a moment and nodded.

The structure of this arms organization is so tight that it is not difficult to understand why the Federal Security Bureau had to use Christina, a rookie. Christina’s father can be said to be a rebel in this organization.

“The daughter of an honest official is wearing a yellow diamond worth millions of dollars?” Lu Mingfei said casually.

“My mother left it to me.” Christina was stunned for a moment, her eyes dimming for a moment, “She died when I was born.”

“Why me? Don’t you have a lot of friends on the train? I see you all have a good relationship.”

Christina has been acting very charming these days, all kinds of cool and sexy. Lu Mingfei feels that several boys are competing for her.

Lu Mingfei felt sad in his heart, feeling ashamed of Christina’s trust, rationality and conscience. He was probably the most cruel guy on the train.

“Listen to me! I guarantee you’ll be fine!” Christina must have wanted to overcome Lu Mingfei’s psychological defenses in one fell swoop. She leaned forward and stared into Lu Mingfei’s eyes.

Looking at those beautiful emerald eyes, Lu Mingfei smiled for no apparent reason. It wasn’t because he was captivated by Christina’s charm, but because he suddenly remembered Nuonuo, who had promised to protect him.

Before Lu Mingfei could answer, footsteps were heard outside. They were the footsteps of Alexander Bunin, with his unique slow pace!

Christina’s expression changed, like a frightened cat. She had come secretly to confront Lu Mingfei. If she were discovered, Bunin would definitely become suspicious. There should be no intersection between her and Lu Mingfei.

She gritted her teeth, her heart clenched, and leaped to her feet, throwing off her high heels. Before Lu Mingfei could stop her, the Powerpuff Girl had already nimbly climbed out the window. She wasn’t an experienced agent, but she had undergone rigorous training, and climbing on the outside of a speeding train with her bare hands felt effortless. Before Bunin reached the compartment door, Christina had already climbed onto the roof. Lu Mingfei leaned out to see the barefoot girl running lightly in the snow, her translucent gauze skirt fluttering like swirling smoke.     

The door of the box was pushed open, and Bunin and Chu Zihang were standing outside. Chu Zihang probably drank a lot of wine after Lu Mingfei left, and he walked a little unsteadily.
