Dragon Raja 5

He didn’t dare to speak loudly. There was a huge pressure coming from the direction of Leviathan, and even his breathing was suppressed.

“If you fire the torpedoes now, you will all die!” the weapons officer replied.

“All you have to do is obey orders and bring the Nautilus back!” said the first mate.

The distance between the Nautilus and the Leviathan was less than 200 meters. Considering the length of these two behemoths, this distance was basically equivalent to people talking face to face.

At this distance, the huge waves and shock waves caused by the Sailfish torpedo would sweep away everyone on deck. Although the Nautilus would also suffer a huge shock, it should be able to survive.

In the blink of an eye, thin ice formed on the sea surface between Leviathan and Nautilus. First, there were huge hexagonal ice flowers, and in an instant, the ice flowers connected into pieces. The ice crystals spread below the sea level like plants growing upside down.

Leviathan unleashed its Word Spirit, and though its power was greatly diminished, within a moment it had created an ice barrier between itself and the Nautilus.

Caesar stopped the first mate, walked slowly to the front of the deck, and looked at Leviathan from a distance.

“Boss! Boss! This is not the time to be stupid! We should use the machine gun first!” Finger spoke behind him, his voice trembling slightly.

But Jiude Mai covered the guy’s mouth.

It seemed that Caesar did have the intention of “talking to a respectable enemy with the spirit of a king”, but along the way, she could sense the changes in Caesar. He was no longer the boy who wanted to compete with her in “cowboy gun drawing”, and he no longer believed that everything in the world existed for him. He became cautious and silent.

The machine guns could not suppress the Leviathan. Based on the previous experience, the terrifying extreme cold area expanded extremely quickly and could be pushed in front of them in an instant. They simply did not have enough time to climb back to the Nautilus.

Caesar did nothing, he just stood there quietly, as if this was his yacht, and he had driven it to the sea to watch whales. But with him standing there, the overwhelming majesty of Leviathan seemed to be partially blocked, and the others could finally breathe.

Leviathan panted heavily, emitting a rhythmic sound, and its tail stirred the seawater into a vortex. The sea surface around Leviathan had frozen over, and ice crystals pushed towards the Nautilus with a crisp sound.

The first mate trembled slightly. If the ice crystals blocked the torpedo tubes, they would not even have the chance to die together with the Leviathan.

But suddenly, the Leviathan unleashed a massive column of water. The Nautilus’s headlights shone on the water column, reflecting a brilliant rainbow. The giant whale turned and swung its tail, shattering the ice it had frozen in, and swam away with a huge wave.

The deep whale song echoed on the sea, which was its response to the surviving giant whales in the distance.

Jiude Mai and Finger rushed to Caesar’s side, their cold-weather gear on, drenched in sweat. No one could be sure whether it was a cute creature or a white Grim Reaper. Caesar seemed to be gambling on Leviathan’s “humanity,” and fortunately, he won.

“It keeps singing, but there is no intention to attack in its singing.” Caesar looked at Leviathan’s receding back.

Mai Jude suddenly understood. The frequency of Leviathan’s song was close to the limit of human hearing. Only Caesar could hear every detail of the song. He and Leviathan communicated not by “manly eye contact” but by sound.

A golden-maned lion on the grasslands encountered a giant singer on the frozen sea. Both sides stood warily, neither willing to attack, and finally the singer turned and fled. In the long polar night, this encounter had a fairytale quality.

Jiude Mai patted Caesar’s shoulder and said, “Your tricks are quite effective.”

Caesar smiled silently.

“Torpedo launch detected! Torpedo launch detected!” A roar suddenly came from the first mate’s earphones, loud enough for people around to hear.

Everyone was stunned. After the captain fell unconscious, the only person with the authority to order the torpedo launch was the first officer, who had stayed on the deck the entire time and had not issued any orders.

“Turn off the torpedo fuse!” Caesar roared.

Once a torpedo is launched, it cannot be stopped, but there is still a chance to deactivate the fuse before it hits the target, so that the torpedo will not explode. This is designed to prevent the torpedo from mistakenly locking onto your own warship.

“Turn off the torpedo fuse!” The first mate immediately conveyed the order.

“Mr. First Mate…it’s not our torpedo!”

Caesar suddenly turned his head and looked into the distance. A few seconds later, a huge column of fire shot up into the sky. The center of the explosion was Leviathan and its whale group!

When Lu Mingfei woke up, Chu Zihang was standing upside down against the door of the compartment. Even though the train was shaking, he stood as straight as a pine tree.

Lu Mingfei gave him a thumbs-up and ignored him, unfazed. He pulled aside the old-fashioned velvet curtains and looked out. It was no longer the snow-covered landscape they had seen when they left Moscow. They were now crossing a vast primeval forest, with towering trees forming high walls on either side of the tracks. Fragments of sunlight fell on the window, strangely comforting, as if they had distanced themselves from the world and all its troubles.

They left Moscow and traveled southeast along the Trans-Siberian Railway, crossed the Ural Mountains, known as the “Gateway to Eurasia”, and are now running in the land called “Siberia”.

Siberia was not as pale and desolate as Lu Mingfei had imagined. On the contrary, it was full of vitality and vigor. One could often see the shadows of deer flashing between the trees, seagulls flying over the lake chasing schools of fish, and the mountains as soft as a girl’s back.

It was late autumn, and depending on the vegetation on the mountain, the color of the mountain ranged from dark green to pale yellow, mottled and gorgeous, like the brushstrokes of a master.

Knock, knock, knock. The door of the box was knocked. Chu Zihang turned over silently and stood up, holding the short arc knife that was inserted there with his hands hidden behind his back.

Although he hasn’t recovered his memory yet, this guy is becoming more and more like his real self, always as taut as a bowstring, as if he never relaxes for a moment.

“Gentlemen, it’s breakfast time.” Bunin spoke outside the door in a pretentious tone, like an elderly butler.
