When the sky was slightly bright, Zero returned to Elizabeth Palace and pushed open the door of his bedroom.

Su Enxi was sitting cross-legged on the bed, using a hair dryer and straightening cream to straighten her seaweed-like long hair. For a lazy woman like her, maintaining curly hair was too much trouble.

Zero lay down beside Su Enxi and slowly exhaled the alcohol. “Did you find out anything?”

Lu Mingfei watched her drink a pound of Maotai liquor with his own eyes. When he carried her out of Mr. Bunin’s house, her steps felt as if she was stepping on cotton, but her tone of voice was still so cold and silent.

She didn’t like drinking and wouldn’t allow herself to get drunk. The only reason she dragged Alexander Bunin along was because Su Enxi had already infiltrated the Bunin household. Su Enxi was a civilian cadre, clever, resourceful, bold, and careful, but she wasn’t a ninja like Jude Mai. She had the host and guests partying in the restaurant, keeping the maids and housekeepers busy, making it much easier for Su Enxi to act.

Su Enxi grabbed the remote control next to her and pressed it, and the laser holographic projection covered the entire bedroom.

What appeared before Su Enxi and Zero was a museum-like space with rich exhibits, ranging from the “Mosin-Nagant” rifle from World War II to the lunar rover model that the Soviet Union had produced for the moon landing. In the middle of the exhibition hall stood a replica of the “Tsar Cannon”.

Their eyes kept moving forward, because this video was shot by Su Enxi with a panoramic camera, and they were following Su Enxi’s steps at the time to see Alexander Bunin’s mansion.

Everything seemed to have gone back to before 1990, with red flags hanging low to the ground and military uniforms straightened. It seemed that Alexander Bunin had not lied. He collected old Soviet items and made money from the Soviet legacy. He was a relic of the old era.

Su Enxi was wearing a nightgown, sprawled on a large, fluffy pillow, eating potato chips, as if she were watching a movie. “He’s an old guy who’s still living in the Soviet era. Even General Vatutin was more fashionable than him. His house wasn’t heavily guarded, and I didn’t see any bodyguards. I only encountered a few maids along the way, but I just kept my head down and passed by.”

“He really seems to be very involved in UNICEF. In his conference room, there’s a wall with pictures of him with children, all kinds of little kids.”

“I poked around here and there and finally found his study, which was where I found the most. On his bookshelf, I found a laptop, which I assumed he used. I cracked the password. Perhaps the files inside weren’t that important, so the password was set casually. I copied out all the files inside, including the plan for using RS-28 missiles to eliminate old Siberian military facilities.”

Su Enxi pressed the remote control again, and the projection switched to the animated presentation in the plan. The surface of the earth was a dark blue arc, and a ray of fire rose over the Pacific Ocean, turning into fifteen points of light that fell in Siberia, and the fifteen target points turned into red crosses.

“In 28 days, this purge plan will be executed. Alexander Bunin’s men should be frantically digging for remains in northern Siberia right now, looking for blueprints, weapon models, nuclear fuel rods, anything of value. They don’t have much time left.”

“Any news from the Russian Ministry of Defense?”

“There is indeed a plan to test-launch the RS-28 intercontinental missile, and this is corroborated by Alexander Bunin’s information.”

“So we have no reason to doubt Alexander Bunin, right?”

“Yes, that old fellow seemed too honest, and everything he said was well-founded. I wanted to doubt him, but I just couldn’t find any loopholes in him.

“I found one. Alexander Bunin is lying. He knows about Black Swan Harbor, at least in part.”

“oh?”

“The coordinates I gave him were wrong.” Zero said slowly.

“Wrong?” Su Enxi was stunned.

“I modified the coordinates, shifting them about 120 kilometers on the map. But Alexander Bunin took one look and immediately told me that those coordinates were to be destroyed by a nuclear explosion. He wasn’t going to flatten northern Siberia with a single super-nuclear bomb, but rather to precisely destroy 15 targets with 15 small nuclear warheads. It was a surgical nuclear strike. In a strike with that level of precision, 120 kilometers is a significant error, even though it only reflects a slight change in longitude and latitude.”

Su Enxi thought for a moment, “He doesn’t even know the coordinates! If you give him any coordinates, he’ll just say they’re a target to be eliminated!”

“The legacy left behind by the Soviet era includes aircraft carriers and nuclear warheads, as well as genetically engineered supersoldiers. Even if he knew nothing about dragons, he’d be tempted by the concept of supersoldiers. But he doesn’t know the location of the orphanage, so he’s inviting us to his dinner party. Now that he has the coordinates and controls the area, 28 days is enough time for him to turn the ruins of Black Swan Port upside down.”

“But when he dug to the bottom, he will found only rocks!” Su Enxi laughed.

Zero pondered for a moment, his expression suddenly alert. “But have you ever considered that after he got the coordinates, the first thing he should do is eliminate the others who knew the coordinates?”

There were two chubby Siamese cats in Elizabeth Palace. They lie lazily on the fireplace and yawn during the day, and jump onto Lu Mingfei’s belly to sleep at night. They were not afraid of strangers at all.

Now they were awake, low hisses rolling in their throats, their cat pupils shining like emeralds in the darkness, like lions whose territory had been invaded.

Lu Mingfei rolled over and sat up, one hand cradling the kitten that was tickling his belly, the other already grasping the SIG Sauer pistol hidden under his pillow. Elizabeth Palace had a rigorous security system. The handsome and elegant butlers were all armed, and the courtyard also had eight large, seemingly lazy dogs, but they were actually killer hounds. If you didn’t feed them bloody beef daily, they’d soon start looking at you like you were food.

Now the security system was not triggered, the dogs were not barking, and the housekeepers did not fire their guns, but the two kittens seemed to sense some approaching danger.
