Dragon Raja 5; Chapter 216: For Your Majesty (31)

Dragon Raja 5

Zero was genuinely curious. Even with her keen sense, she could only detect a flurry of well-trained individuals moving about the exhibition hall. Some appeared to be guests, while others were smiling waiters introducing exhibits. This wasn’t surprising, however. With Moscow’s most powerful figures concentrated here, security was naturally tight. Lu Mingfei, however, could see that among those individuals were pursuers from the Academy. They were the Russian branch, known as the “strongest branch in the Far East,” and it was this branch that had pursued them to near-death situations along the Sino-Mongolian border. If they were any later, the Russian branch’s deployment would be complete, and their escape would be difficult.

Lu Mingfei rolled sideways to avoid the blood-red bullets falling from the sky.

Frigga bullets, powerful anesthetic bullets made by alchemy at Cassel Academy, were fired from several transparent pistols, and the gunmen occupied the advantageous terrain on the second floor.

When Lu Mingfei stood up again, he had already grabbed a transparent rapier and entered into a sword duel with the swordsman who rushed over. Fencing was not his specialty, and the rapier was not as handy as the short arc knife, but thanks to his extraordinary reaction speed, he was able to exchange a few blows with the fencer from the Russian branch.

“As expected of my brother, you saw through my tricks.” Lu Mingze was still standing in the corner clapping, but the meaning of his words had completely changed.

“Get away from me! Don’t block my escape!” Lu Mingfei made three consecutive lunge thrusts, forcing back the swordsman. He turned around and gave a side kick, forcing the guy who was quietly approaching from behind to retreat.

He certainly didn’t reveal his identity to show off his heroism or to spite the little devil. If he were truly so magnanimous, he wouldn’t have been hiding all this time. He didn’t even understand Mr. Bunin’s identity, and he wouldn’t have rashly rushed into the EVA’s gun just for a name given by General Vatutin. He made this decision after seeing the plastic gun Lu Mingze pulled from the guest bag.

The weapon was 3D-printed and perfectly replicated the German-made USP pistol. Except for the firing pin, the entire weapon was made of plastic, but it could fire standard .45 caliber ammunition like a real gun.

This kind of gun is not something that a petty thief can afford. It is more expensive than the original gun and its only purpose is to avoid security checks.

The most important thing was that the transparent magazine of the gun was filled with Frigga bullets with dark red bullets!

The little devil’s intention was not to tell him how to attract Mr. Bunin’s attention, but to hint to him that he was surrounded.

There was a loud sound of wind overhead. It was a helicopter flying over the Kalominsk Manor. It seemed that the Russian branch had not only deployed personnel in the exhibition hall, but had set up a dragnet.

“Go!” Lu Mingfei yelled.

He decided to make trouble because quietly leaving the exhibition hall was no longer possible. If he made a big enough noise, he might even attract the attention of Alexander Bunin. Even if he didn’t get the invitation, a man of Bunin’s status would not allow his annual event to be ruined. It would become a laughing stock in Moscow’s upper class circles.

But the Russian branch clearly didn’t care about the consequences. Perhaps because the orders and pressure from the Elders were becoming increasingly stringent, they were determined to take Lu Mingfei away at all costs. They had also deployed an attack helicopter last time, but that was on the Mongolian steppes. This time, it was in downtown Moscow, requiring extensive clearance from the air defense system. The attack helicopter had a wide range and could easily destroy the entire Kolominsk Manor. Its tracking system could lock onto every person present, leaving them with no escape. The police wouldn’t dare approach the area unless they were equipped with Russia’s most advanced T-14 tanks.

Or some legendary shepherd.

Alexander Bunin’s authority was useless in the face of this absolute advantage in force. The force he had at the Kalominsk Manor consisted of only a few dozen armed bodyguards, and more than half of them had been subdued by the Russian branch.

“Lu Mingfei, you have been locked on, give up resistance. You have 180 seconds to get out of the Kalominsk Manor. After 180 seconds, we will launch missiles.” EVA’s cold voice came from the sky.

Lu Mingfei launched a fierce thrust, and the two transparent 3D-printed swords collided, their blades bending like bows before finally collapsing under the immense force. The opposing swordsman gracefully stepped back, raising the broken sword to his chest and pointing it to the sky as a final salute to end the duel. Lu Mingfei was less graceful, dropping the broken sword with resigned relief and a long sigh. Even if that single strike had won him, he stood no chance. The gunmen on the second floor had already pointed their guns at his back, but they had too much confidence in their sword-wielding companions to continue firing.

Chu Zihang and Zero each subdued a man, holding him hostage in front of their chests. In front of them stood rows of armed specialists, their 3D-printed guns surprisingly equipped with laser sights, red dots of light flickering around their necks.

Most of the guests had left, and Lu Mingfei’s plan to escape in the crowd was ruined.

The little devil remained in the corner, “As expected, you can’t let innocent people die in your war. You could have captured a few more valuable hostages, like the current Foreign Minister.”

Lu Mingfei didn’t bother to pay attention. Zero and Chu Zihang were also forced to give up their hostages. The three of them were held at gunpoint and approached each other. Three slings were dropped from the helicopter. It seemed that the Russian branch had already prepared how to take them away.

At this moment, a majestic mechanical voice echoed over the entire Kalominsk Manor. “Unknown aircraft, you have violated the airspace of Kalominsk Manor. You have been locked. You have 30 seconds to evacuate. In 30 seconds, we will launch missiles.”

The helicopter pilot looked at the manor below in confusion. What kind of “airspace” could a manor have? How could a manor claim to be launching missiles?

But as the alarm sounded, a red circle suddenly appeared on his radar screen, a standard circle with the Kolominsk Manor as its center, covering a large area of old buildings around it.

A person’s name, Alexander Bunin, was clearly marked on the edge of the circle.

The Russian Ministry of Defense actually set up a no-fly zone for this manor. This small no-fly zone belongs to Mr. Bunin, who does not want his annual auction to be disturbed.
