Dragon Raja 5; Chapter 215: For Your Majesty (30)

Dragon Raja 5

Just like the set of weapons forged by the King of Bronze and Fire, pride, jealousy, anger, laziness, greed, lust and gluttony… the sins of mankind are too numerous to list.

He walked in front of Zero and pinched Zero’s face. Lu Mingfei’s eyes twitched and he wanted to stand between him and Zero.

“It looks good.” Lu Mingze patted Zero’s little face and passed by her.

“Brother, have you ever heard a story? During World War II, an explorer was talking to the elder of a cannibal tribe in Africa about what was happening outside. The elder was surprised to hear that the whole world was at war and tens of millions of people had died. He asked, “How long will it take for you to keep eating people?” The explorer replied, “We don’t eat people, we just fight.” The elder was shocked and said, “You are so cruel! You don’t eat them but kill them?” Lu Mingze took the Easter egg from Chu Zihang’s hand and played with it with interest. “What’s the difference between humans like this and dragons? What’s the big deal if a few die?”

“That’s enough,” Lu Mingfei said softly. “I’m tired of hearing your rhetoric. Yes, I should start a war, but I can’t start a war that involves the deaths of innocent people.”

Lu Mingze scratched his forehead in embarrassment. “This is too difficult. In war, who cares whether you’re innocent or not?”

“If you can’t do it, get out of the way,” Lu Mingfei waved his hand, “I’m in a hurry.”

As if this wave of the hand truly was an irresistible command from a king, Lu Mingze shrugged, his shoulders scattered like ash in the wind. The crowd resumed its flow. The dignitaries and beauties, who had just been stripped to shreds by Lu Mingze, were still laughing and talking. The girls were charming, the men were elegant and composed. They had come here for the welfare of children, their eyes and words conveying love and peace.

Lu Mingfei put his hands in his trouser pockets and walked towards the center of the hall. Zero was stunned for a moment and wanted to follow him, but Lu Mingfei waved his hand to stop her.

Lu Mingfei took a glass of champagne from a passing waiter’s tray and plucked a silver spoon from a cupcake. He stood in the middle of the hall and tapped the champagne glass with the silver spoon, making a clinking sound.

Everyone stopped and looked at him, which usually happens at weddings when the groom uses this to attract the guests’ attention.

“Ladies and gentlemen, please take out your cell phones and point them at me.” Lu Mingfei smiled.

He was so respectable and elegant that people mistakenly thought he was speaking on behalf of the inviter, that is, Alexander Bunin’s agent. Many people took out their mobile phones, and it looked like a press conference.

Zero was shocked. The internet in Russia was heavily regulated, making it difficult for EVA to expand its reach. They still had to avoid public exposure. Before Lu Mingfei arrived, he had applied skin-colored plastic to his cheeks to make his face appear plumper, and used contact lenses to modify the color of his pupils. But Lu Mingfei was removing that disguise, exposing himself directly to countless cameras.

“EVA, you should have seen me by now.” Lu Mingfei took out a Cassel Academy badge and pinned it on his chest. “I’m at the Kalominsk Manor in Moscow, waiting for your commando team.”

Slow applause sounded in the corner. Lu Mingfei looked up and saw the boy in the white suit smiling and clapping.

“Bravo, brother! That’s amazing! That’s right, there were no innocent people in your war!”

The whole place was silent, and the guests looked at each other with bewildered expressions.

He took center stage, everyone’s cameras trained on him. This young man from China was supposed to make a major announcement, like a $20 million donation to UNICEF. Instead, he simply announced his location to a girl named EVA. Who did he think he was? Elon Musk? Mark Zuckerberg? Should he command everyone’s attention simply by standing there? What did he think of the Kolominsk estate?

“Alexander Bunin, I’m here to see you, but I heard that I have to be qualified to see you. Mr. Bunin’s agent, I don’t care who you are, just keep filming, don’t stop, send the video to Mr. Bunin, he will be interested in me!” After saying that, Lu Mingfei threw the glass of champagne into the air, and when it fell, he made a beautiful sweep kick, and the champagne glass shattered on the forehead of a young man, splashing golden wine foam.

A normal person who was hit head-on like this would at least suffer a mild concussion, but this young man simply wiped his forehead to wipe off the blood and glass shards, and pulled out a transparent dagger from the hem of his windbreaker.

More young people jumped out of the crowd, holding various transparent weapons, from lightweight tactical daggers to heavy hunting knives, and even rapiers more than three feet long. They vibrated slightly in the sunlight, reflecting dazzling light, as if they were carved out of crystal.

They pounced on Lu Mingfei from all directions, leaping like dragons and tigers.

EVA didn’t even need to send out a commando team, as the Russian branch of Cassel Academy had already arrived at the Kalominsk Manor and was always in control of the situation.

Handsome men and beautiful women screamed in fear. Bodyguards rushed forward to protect their boss, and well-trained waiters stepped aside to shield the guests. The dense crowd temporarily blocked the elite members of the executive department, who also had to guard against the weapons in the hands of the bodyguards. Lu Mingfei was determined to create this chaotic situation. He took a run and jumped, and then launched a beautiful “Bruce Lee-style” three-kick combo, kicking the commissioner in front of him backward and knocking over the two people following behind.

Almost at the same time, Zero and Chu Zihang attacked from the outskirts of the crowd. The specialists who were blocked by the crowd were all focused on Lu Mingfei, not realizing that someone was attacking them from behind.

Zero used the same tactics he’d used against Asuya in Japan: close-quarter knee and elbow strikes, using any part of her body as a weapon. Her movements were light but explosive. Chu Zihang smashed the glass and grabbed an antique scimitar once used by Peter the Great. A nearby sign declared that the scimitar had been presented to Peter the Great by a Tatar leader in 1702 and was said to have once been Genghis Khan’s sword. Without even unsheathing his blade, Chu Zihang dodged left and right through the crowd, shattering the transparent weapons in the hands of several commissioners into glittering fragments by “Genghis Khan’s scimitar.”

Just now, when walking towards the center of the hall, Lu Mingfei seemed to wave his hand to stop Zero from following him, but in fact he whispered, “Get ready.”
