Dragon Raja 5; Chapter 201: For Your Majesty (16)

Dragon Raja 5

Acid mist, rain of fire—except for the lack of horns and claws, Hydra at this point looked every bit the mythical dragon. In ancient times, someone must have witnessed something similar, leading to the legend of the fire-breathing dragon. The truth is, some of its secretions were highly acidic and flammable.

The strong electric field protecting Abbas suddenly opened up, and the flames danced wildly against Hydra as if encountering a strong wind.

“Indra” is different from Parsi’s “Dustless Land”. It cannot create a vacuum barrier to resist the rain of fire, but the strong electric field can repel the burning droplets.

Some of the burnt-out droplets still carried flames through Indra’s intense electric field. The finer the droplets, the less repulsion they experienced from the strong electric field. Abbas’s winter suit began to ignite. The white goose down in the interlayer of his suit could withstand ultra-low temperatures but was extremely flammable. However, he pushed aside the lightning barrier and took a step toward Hydra.

His pupils were as bright as if they were burning, and he roared, “Caesar! Where are your bullets?”

The white smoke passed over Abbas’s shoulder, pierced through Hydra’s fire storm, and hit Hydra’s neck accurately. Amidst the huge explosion, the neck broke directly, and a strong fountain of blood spurted out from the broken end. Half of the snake neck twisted wildly.

“How can bullets be used? Don’t you want a cannon to deal with this thing?” The voice coming from the warehouse was so calm and lazy.

Caesar walked out of the warehouse carrying a fire extinguisher in one hand and a Chinese-made QLZ87 grenade launcher in the other. He had just used this thing to fire an armor-piercing fragmentation bomb that broke off one of Hydra’s heads.

He held the fire extinguisher and sprayed it all over Abbas’ body, then threw the grenade launcher to Abbas and said, “Be careful when you use it. If you miss, you will blow a hole in the cabin.”

The sailors looked at the two men in surprise. A few seconds ago, they were fighting for their lives with Hydra so nervously, but now they suddenly calmed down, as if the roaring thing opposite them was a barking Chihuahua.

“Gentlemen, weapons are readily available. There is always one that suits you.” Caesar smiled and made a “please” gesture.

The recoilless guns roared low, the flashes of grenade launchers repeatedly illuminated the darkness, the white smoke trails of rockets intertwined into a web, submachine guns and heavy machine guns roared alternately… The sailors stepped on the weapon boxes and fired, and when the ammunition was exhausted, they replaced it with new weapons.

The Hydra danced wildly in the pool of blood, but in the face of humanity’s most advanced heavy infantry weaponry, its acid and flames were more like a bluff. It still struggled to spit out flames, but compared to the blaze it initially unleashed on Abbas, it was a mere candle. As its cervical vertebrae were blown off one by one, it no longer had enough power to intimidate humanity.

Caesar also had a grenade launcher in his hand, but he just leaned against the warehouse door and watched quietly.

His pride would not allow him to join the slaughter, no different from chasing a cornered lion with a hunting rifle. For him, the battle was over when he fired the first grenade.

Abbas did not participate either. He sat down on the ground tiredly, groped in his pocket and found a small bag of fried cheese balls. He waved it towards Caesar and asked if he wanted some. Caesar smiled and waved his hand.

The recoilless gun blew up the last snake head, and the bloody snake neck fell to the ground with a bang. The monster’s life finally came to an end.

The sailors cheered excitedly and shook hands in celebration. There were still many giant snakes on the YAMAL, but now they were fully armed. From this moment on, they were the hunters. If the giant snakes had enough intelligence, they would have fled in fear.

Abbas stood up and walked to Hydra’s side, quietly admiring this corpse from the mythological era, the colorful scales, and the bony back.

Although it is just a snake infested with dragon blood, it already possesses some of the characteristics of a “dragon”, which is both terrifying and admirable.

Things of this level were just messengers of “God”. I dare not imagine how many such messengers there are under the throne of God, nor do I dare to imagine whether humans will still have a chance to fight against it when God himself steps down from the throne.

The sailors only dared to take pictures from a distance. To be precise, it could not be called a corpse. Hydra, who had lost all his head, was lying in a pool of his own blood, with his fat belly turned up and his abdomen slightly heaving.

Hydra does not have the ability to “grow a new head from a broken neck” as described in mythology, but the vitality of reptiles is far stronger than that of humans. Even if all five heads are killed, the muscles still retain some activity.

“Mr. Gattuso, what are the next orders?” A sailor came to Caesar and made a gesture between a sailor’s salute and a military salute.

Caesar had been recognized as a financial backer before, and now he had destroyed one of Hydra’s heads with a hunting knife in front of the sailors, and had become a leader recognized by the sailors.

Abbas’s “Indra” was certainly more shocking, but its power far exceeded the boundaries of “humanity”. For the sailors, there was a hint of fear in their admiration.

“Everyone divide into two teams. One team follow Abbas and restart the nuclear reactor power to the main power grid, and drain the seawater. The other team follow me and clean up floor by floor,” said Caesar.

He released the Kamaitachi again, wondering how many more giant snakes were still active on the Yamal. To him, the heartbeats of those giant snakes were like heavy war drums, unmistakable with any other sound.

He was suddenly stunned, because the first thing he heard was countless rapid and subtle drum beats. Hundreds and thousands of chaotic drum beats gathered together, like a violent storm.

And, it’s right near them!

It was definitely the heartbeat of some creature, but not as slow and heavy as the giant snakes’ heartbeats. Could there be something else hidden in this space? Living things, hundreds, thousands?

Caesar’s eyes fell on Hydra’s plump and undulating belly. He suddenly understood something and shouted, “Abbas! Come back!”
