Dragon Raja 5; Chapter 194: For Your Majesty (9)

Dragon Raja 5

The YAMAL rocked violently in the icy sea for a long time before slowly regaining stability. The explosion in the third engine compartment did not penetrate the bottom of the giant ship. After two rounds of trials, the ship survived.

The ice storm was still sweeping across the broken ice sea. The black ship that was smashed into two pieces lay quietly on the ice like two halves of a dead beast. The fire in the third power compartment began to weaken due to the operation of the automatic fire extinguishing system. It seemed that they had successfully avoided this disaster.

However, Jiude Mai still looked around vigilantly. For some reason, the sense of crisis, the feeling that she was being stared at by evil eyes, did not subside.

She turned her head sharply to look at the wreckage of the black ship. The thorny feeling in her back came from that direction. Those dark portholes looked like countless eyes! The wreckage of the black ship was like a dead hundred-eyed giant, staring at Jiude Mai with its lifeless eyes.

No one should be able to see her. She has always opened the field of “Underworld Illumination”. Even in good lighting conditions, others will only feel that there is a faint black gas here, not to mention that this is in an ice storm.

But the feeling was so clear, those black portholes were staring at her, and Jude Mai could even feel them blinking!

“Is it over?” Abbas stood up.

They were the luckiest people on the ship; before the impact, their luck had exploded, allowing them to rush into the children’s playground on the YAMAL. Caesar, carrying snow, jumped into the pool of ocean balls, and Abbas followed suit.

These soft little balls saved them twice in a row. Others were shocked to the point of vomiting blood, but they were bouncing around in the world of ocean balls like a family visiting an amusement park.

“No, it’s not over yet.” Snow squatted in the ocean ball, her huge pupils still filled with terror. “God will not give up easily.”

Abbas was about to offer some words of comfort to the girl when he noticed something strange about Caesar’s expression. Even when the black ships appeared, Caesar hadn’t abandoned his “nobles should face death with a joke” attitude. But now his eyes were sharp, the lines at the corners of his eyes tense. Abbas had seen Caesar like this before, this was the state he’d always maintained when facing a powerful enemy.

“No, it’s not over yet,” Caesar whispered. “There are many, a large group.”

Abbas suddenly fell silent, as still as a puppet. Caesar pulled out the dictator from his waist and tossed them to Abbas, who snatched them up. Abbas’s melee weapon was a pair of Persian-style scimitars, not suitable for carrying around, while Caesar also had a Desert Eagle.

He was already on guard against Abbas, so he was fully armed while on the ship.

Abbas’s puppet-like silence is his state when facing the enemy, but he can launch a tiger-like attack at any time.

Abbas absolutely believed in Caesar’s judgment, because Caesar’s word spirit was “Sickle Weasel”, and Caesar was so sure because of what he heard.

“Heartbeats, huge hearts, all around us, many, large groups.” Caesar said softly.

“How big?”

“A heart as big as a whale’s, but with scales. I can hear the scales scraping against steel.”

    ***

Giant blue-black snakes swam out of the black porthole, not just one, but dozens or even hundreds of them. From a distance, it looked like a group of blue insects crawling out of the black soil.

Although they swam around, those red-gold snake eyes kept staring at Jiude Mai. It was obvious that they knew there was a living creature here, and it was a powerful enemy, forcing them to concentrate all their attention.

Jude Mai had never seen snakes this large before. They were over 20 meters long, their massive bodies leaving deep scratches as they passed over the black ship’s hull. Their appearance was also quite different from that of ordinary snakes. Their facial bones were protruding, their lines were jagged, and their bodies still bore traces of limbs. They resembled some ancient, incompletely evolved pythons, but even the largest, Titanoboa, was small compared to them.

If it was a python of some dragon-blood subspecies, then it would be easy to understand why it could “see” Jiude Mai. In addition to eyes, pythons can also use temperature receptors at the bottom of their noses to search for prey. Above the ice sea, apart from the blazing third power cabin, Jiude Mai is the warmest place.

Jude Mai let out a long sigh. Her business trips never went well, and she hadn’t held high hopes for this Arctic Ocean trip. But the cabin on the YAMAL was quite comfortable, and the dog that brought her food from the restaurant was quite playful. She’d thought she could relax for a few more days.

She put a few pieces of gum in her mouth, pulled out two Glock pistols from her waist, and waved the muzzles at the snakes, meaning come on.

As if they understood her gestures, the snakes slithered up the ice along the side of the ship, then plunged into the icy sea through the cracks. Jude Mai had no doubt that the giant snakes were approaching the YAMAL from beneath the ice. But that was right. These were the real killers. As for the black ship, it was merely a means of transporting them.

Jiude Mai turned and ran. Her gesture simply meant “come,” but she didn’t say she was going to fight the snakes to the death. To deal with these dragon-blooded subspecies, the YAMAL was carrying a ship full of killers.

A group of green snakes broke through the ice and swam onto the side of the YAMAL, then entered the ship through different portholes.

If you look down from the sky, the dark blue snakes swimming on the black and red YAMAL look like a raspberry Black Forest cake covered with bugs.

The whole ship was filled with their hissing sounds, and the cold wind carried their strong fishy odor to different cabins one by one. The crew members who didn’t know what was happening felt creepy and pulled out their AK47s from various places.

Jude Mai ran wildly in the corridor, her destination being the cabin she and Finger lived in. The black ship appeared so suddenly that she only had time to take a slingshot and two pistols, leaving all the other weapons in the cabin.

The moment she pushed open the cabin door, Jude Mai was stunned. The sound of water splashing came from the bathroom, and the cabin was filled with the floral scent of some kind of shower gel.
