Dragon Raja 5; Chapter 184: Leviathan’s Song (21)

Dragon Raja 5

It was late at night when they returned to Elizabeth Palace. It took a long time to walk along the long street. By the time they got back to the car, even the lights in the church in the distance had been turned off.

“Go to bed early. We’ll figure out the pass issue later.” Lu Mingfei said goodbye to Zero at the staircase in a casual tone. Their bedrooms were upstairs and downstairs, and Ling lived in the master bedroom on the top floor.

“Thank you for walking with me.” Zero turned and went upstairs.

Lu Mingfei scratched his head. At first, she had said that she would take him to see the night view of Moscow, but now she was thanking him for taking a walk with Her Majesty the Queen.

When he walked into his suite, Chu Zihang was still practicing handstand in the corner with his upper body naked. When he saw Lu Mingfei pushing the door in, his eyes immediately became lively, and he looked like he wanted to come up to him and ask, “Have you got the pass? Why did you take so long?”

This senior brother was also a very gossipy person back then.

“Shut up, it’s none of your business. Keep practicing your handstand.” Lu Mingfei walked past him and said lazily.

Zero opened the door to his bedroom and immediately heard the sound of water.

Her bedroom was a luxurious Baroque style—not that she liked it, but rather that it was where Elizabeth I had once spent the night with her lover, and Zero hadn’t bothered to alter its structure. In the center of the room stood a large bronze bathtub, a sensual design designed to facilitate the naked walk of the hostess to the bed after a bath. At that moment, the tub was filled with foam, and an Asian-style beauty was scrubbing her thighs with a brush. She was, to be honest, a woman with curvaceous features, but she treated herself like a leatherworker, with no mercy.

This can probably be attributed to two reasons: first, she is a technical otaku, and second, even if she tries her best, she can’t compare to Jude Mai in showing off her charm, so it’s better for her to take a bolder approach.

Zero didn’t even glance at the majestic beauty, but walked over to the desk by the window and sat down, lost in thought.

Su Enxi washed and wiped herself clean, wrapped herself in a silk bathrobe, and walked gracefully around the bedroom. She looked at herself 360 degrees in the mirror, and after feeling very satisfied, she sat down on the sofa casually and took out a bag of potato chips from somewhere.

“Where’s Mai?” Zero asked calmly.

“I’m going to the Arctic, and someone needs to keep an eye on the Leviathan thing,” Su Enxi said. “The stock market in Russia has been plummeting, so I came here to revise my investment structure and help you out.”

The Romanovs were able to mobilize such a huge amount of cash from Europe into Russia thanks to this “Black Gold Swan,” the man behind the scenes. It was she who directed this money in and out of various Russian markets. As for Zero, it could be considered a mascot.

“I can handle my own work,” Zero said. “You’re the chief assistant. You come up with the ideas and I’ll execute them.”

“Chief Assistant?” Su Enxi snorted twice through her nose. “I’m just an old woman, paving the way for you two young ladies and providing funding! In the boss’s heart, you, the special assistant, are more precious, the youngest and the cutest!”

“Everyone is important to him, and no one is important to him.”

“It’s only an hour and a half’s drive back, but you actually spent four and a half hours just walking around hand in hand?” Su Enxi jumped behind Zero’s chair and hugged her and the chair tightly with her arms. “I say, do you still remember what your mission is this time?”

“Send Lu Mingfei to the finish line.” Zero said slowly.

“That’s right, it’s a courier job. He’s your cargo. You’re only responsible for delivering him. As for what happens after he’s delivered, it’s none of your business.” Su Enxi paused, tilting her head to look at Ling, “Will you be soft-hearted?”

“You installed a bug in me!” Ling’s eyes suddenly became sharp, like a little animal with its fur standing on end.

“Okay, okay, it’s my fault. I apologize.” Su Enxi quickly raised her hands in surrender. “I shouldn’t have eavesdropped on you two, but you two were just looking at the scenery and chatting, and you didn’t kiss passionately on the street. You don’t have to kill me to silence me, right?”

She untied the little fox made of nutria fur from Zero’s collar, shook it towards her, and threw it far away. “This is the only one. If I lied to you, I’d be a puppy.”

Through this little fox, she overheard the conversation between Zero and Lu Mingfei on the side street. Zero said that Nuonuo was a soft-hearted person, and Su Enxi’s question was actually a follow-up to that statement. Zero keenly guessed that Su Enxi had installed a bug on him.

“Will you be soft-hearted?” After a long silence, Su Enxi asked again, “Like Chen Motong.”

“No, I’m the boss’s man. I have to do whatever the boss tells me to do.” Zero said slowly.

“I’m a killer, I don’t have any feelings!” Su Enxi hugged Zero again, laughing.

But Zero didn’t smile. She stared straight at Su Enxi’s arm, which had obvious scratches. Although Black Gold Swan was a carefree person, she was a “civilian cadre” in her own words and didn’t participate in fighting. These scars looked like they were caused by an accidental bump while running in the woods.

Zero grabbed Su Enxi’s other arm, preventing her from struggling. There were similar scratches on Su Enxi’s other arm. It was autumn, and Moscow was already very cold. Why would Su Enxi run wildly in a dense forest with her arm exposed?

“Where did you go before you came here?” Zero asked coldly.

Su Enxi stopped smiling, pulled her arm back from Zero’s grasp, walked over to the sofa, sat down, and lit a long, thin cigarette for herself. She rarely smoked, but when she did, she became a different person, a little darker, a little more enchanting, and a little more world-weary and cold.

Zero stood in front of the sofa, about two steps away from her, like a child waiting for instructions from an adult, but there was also a feeling that she would pull out a knife and pounce on her at any time.

“General Vatutin is dead.” Su Enxi exhaled a puff of smoke. “Don’t get the wrong idea. I didn’t kill him. I know what you’re thinking. Fifteen minutes after you left that cabin, he was executed by the Russians.”

Zero lunged forward like a wild animal, grabbing Su Enxi’s wrist with such force that she felt her wrist bone was about to break. But she still endured the pain and looked at Zero quietly, telling her with her eyes that this was not a joke, but a cold fact.
