“What’s your attitude? I’m the senior of these two guys! Don’t underestimate me!” Finger almost slammed the table and stood up.

“You do look like a cruiser, though,” Rebalco said, spreading his hands. “I’m impressed by your drinking capacity, though.”

Caesar raised his glass to toast Finger in time, thus putting an end to a meaningless quarrel.

“Your insight is amazing. No, that’s not accurate, Major Alexander Rebalko. With your resume, you should certainly have such insight.” Schneider raised his hand, and Percy immediately put an iPad in Schneider’s hand. Schneider pushed the iPad along the table in front of Rebalko.

When he heard the name “Alexander Rebalko”, Rebalko’s face changed, his drunken look disappeared instantly, and his eyes became alert, like a leopard that realized it had stepped into an encirclement.

But he didn’t dare move, because the veins on the back of Abbas’s hand were jumping out, although he still lowered his head and worked, looking very obsessed with dismantling the sea bass along the grain of the fish. In Rebalco’s eyes, the sterling silver fork was so dangerous, no less than a sharp rapier.

Rebalco picked up the iPad and flipped through the already opened electronic document, his expression becoming increasingly horrified.

It records everything about him.

Sasha Rebalco, whose real name is Alexander Rybalko, was a major in the Alpha Special Forces unit of the Russian Federal Security Service. Even after retirement, he remains a “highly dangerous” person. He has received very comprehensive counter-terrorism training, so if he wanted, he could also transform into a top-level terrorist.

He should have lived his entire life under the strict supervision of the government, but he was not satisfied with such a life, especially since the amount of his pension was not enough to support his living expenses.

He created a new identity for himself: the experienced sailor Sasha Rebalko, and became the captain of the YAMAL. This ship was once a major gambling ship on the Arctic Ocean route, hosting high-rollers from all over the world. Someone with such experience was naturally suitable for the position of captain.

The sailors under his command were all former members of the Alpha Special Forces. After retiring, they felt that they had little money or their lives were boring, so they wanted to find some interesting work that could make money.

Rebalco slowly put down the iPad, took a deep breath, and looked Schneider in the eyes. “You came prepared.”

“We bought this ship not only because it’s a good ship, but also because it has a high-quality crew,” Schneider said. “Your value is part of this ship, and we certainly want to understand it clearly.”

This statement was not quite accurate. Considering Captain Rybalko’s hidden background, EVA considered buying only the ship without hiring these crew members. However, the YAMAL was built in the Soviet era and used a full set of Soviet technology. It would be impossible to operate the ship by hiring crew members temporarily, so they reluctantly kept these crew members.

“You’re a very caring person. You work mainly for your ex-wife, Natasha, who’s now in a vegetative state and requires substantial medical care. And your sister’s schooling is also very expensive,” Schneider said slowly. “People like you are trustworthy, so we won’t keep this secret from you.”

The people at Cassel Academy all looked up and stared at each other. Captain Rebalco’s sudden attack had indeed caught them by surprise, but they had invited Rebalco to dinner with the intention of explaining part of the situation to him.

The crew, unable to conceal it any longer, brought back skeleton after skeleton. Even after drinking too much vodka, they must have been terrified. They needed the captain’s help on this arduous and dangerous trek across the icy sea.

“Are you here for Leviathan?” Rebalko said hoarsely.

Now it was the others’ turn to pale. Ever since they boarded the ship, the name “Leviathan” had been taboo. Even among themselves, they only vaguely referred to the great fish. If the crew knew the purpose of their voyage was to hunt the legendary monster, it would probably cause a mutiny.

“Leviathan is a monster recorded in the Bible, an evil dragon created by God. Does anyone really believe that thing exists?” Schneider tried to remain calm.

“No, no, there are many legends about it. Some say it’s an evil dragon, some say it’s a devil from the deep sea, but I heard it’s a giant whale.” Rebalco was very calm. He even extended his glass to Percy and asked for another glass of champagne. “The previous owner of this ship was a guy fascinated by mysticism. Once, when he was drunk, he told me a lot about Leviathan. You mentioned ‘that big fish’ several times, and when you saw me stop, you thought it was Leviathan, but I wasn’t sure. But judging by your expressions now, you really are going whale hunting.”

Caesar and Abbas looked at each other. The captain’s tone was indeed a bit strange. Logically speaking, an ordinary person would at least have a change of expression when hearing that he was involved in the hunting of ancient mythical beasts, but Rebalco gave people the feeling that “Oh, it turns out that you are really dealing in antiques.”

“What did the ship owner say about Leviathan?” Caesar also pretended to be calm.

“It’s a white sperm whale, enormous and extremely aggressive. When angry, it will attack its own kind, putting even smaller ships in danger,”
