Dragon Raja 5; Chapter 153: Thunder and the Watcher (63)

Dragon Raja 5

Chu Zihang stood quietly on the side with his head lowered, like a child who had done something wrong and was repenting, but judging from the reaction of the immortals, the boy had once again become an extremely dangerous target, just like Lu Mingfei on the streets of Tokyo, who was awakening.

The wind had shifted imperceptibly, or rather, it had been shifting constantly, and a whirlwind had begun to blow across the sea. The helicopter shuddered, and a cacophony of alarms blared in the cabin.

“Alert! Alert! Elemental turbulence has been detected over Tokyo Bay. People nearby are required to take shelter immediately! Repeat, repeat, elemental turbulence has been detected over Tokyo Bay. People nearby are required to take shelter immediately!” EVA’s voice echoed in the cabin.

She didn’t need any prompting. Looking out the front window, the low-lying clouds swirled downward toward the sea, like the sharp horns of a demon reaching down from the clouds. Flashes of lightning flashed from the horns, accompanied by rumbling thunder. The vortex of wind was sucking down the rain clouds, charged with tens of thousands of volts of static electricity.

It was undoubtedly elemental turbulence. Compared with the elemental turbulence when the immortals awakened and the elemental turbulence now, the former was the breeze caused by the flapping of a butterfly’s wings, while the latter was the turbulence caused by a giant whale leaping out of the water.

An ancient Chinese saying goes that wherever a dragon moves, wind and rain follow it. Elemental turbulence was so strong that it could change the regional climate. This is usually a precursor to the awakening of the Dragon King!

That’s why Isabel urgently deprived Lancelot of his command. Every second was precious now. Facing such a target, he must not be given time to fully wake up.

“Victoria, you only have one chance!” Isabel warned, “Everyone, attack with saturation fire!”

All the light and heavy weapons on the helicopter fired at the same time. Individual missiles and rockets were shot towards Chu Zihang with white smoke trails or fiery red tracks. The flames and smoke from the explosion instantly enveloped Chu Zihang. The immortals were unable to hold their ground in the shock wave of the explosion and retreated step by step with roars.

But Isabel had no expectations for a saturation fire attack. Her previous failure with Lu Mingfei was still fresh in her memory. She recalled how true the professor’s first words were in her first class at Cassel Academy: “Dragons can never be predicted by humans.”

The only one who can kill a Dragon King is another Dragon King. Just like the seven deadly sins behind Lancelot, it was a Dragon King who forged this set of dragon-slaying weapons. Similarly, the only one who can kill Chu Zihang is the bullet that Victoria put into the magazine. Its bullet contains the bones and blood of a Dragon King.

And this bullet was flying along its long trajectory.

Victoria was the first to fire, the bullet whizzing past Chu Zihang and into the endless sea. She hadn’t missed, but had aimed for Chu Zihang’s back. The bullets from this gun all had fins, allowing them to shoot straight or in an arc. Victoria had calculated the trajectory long before firing.

On the screen of the aiming helmet, she could clearly see the trajectory of the bullet across the vast ocean, even passing through the foam leaping up from the waves. It was like a lone goose drifting away from the world, but it suddenly turned around and became an arrow shot by the god of death, heading straight for Chu Zihang’s back.

The Dragon King’s scales had no defense against it. When it hit Susie, it exploded inside Susie’s body, destroying Susie’s heart. The same result would occur when it hit the Dragon King!

The bullet disappeared into smoke and flames, and Victoria whispered, “Hit the target.”

The saturation fire continued, and Isabel closed her eyes, relieved. What had she just ordered killed? A boy, or a Dragon King? Her hands were stained with blood. On this battlefield, where justice is often said but blood is often involved, those who venture deep into it will always be stained with blood.

She looked back at Lancelot. This man seemed to have lost his soul, but he used to be such a strong man who carried everything on his shoulders.

Suddenly, the sound of horse hooves was heard between the sky and the sea. Isabel looked out in surprise. Where did the horses come from in such a vast ocean?

But the sound of the horse’s hooves was so clear, slow and heavy, each step shaking the ocean and the sky, making one think the horse was standing tall. Everyone, including the immortals, trembled and looked in different directions. Something was coming, or it had already arrived.

The smoke and dust from the explosion were blown away by a sudden strong wind. Chu Zihang had disappeared, and a masked knight stood in his place. His horse actually had eight strong legs.

“Odin!” Isabel whispered.

Everyone could recognize that it was Odin, the lord of the gods in Norse mythology. With the dark blue cloak, the crow emblem on his shoulder, and the eight-legged horse Slepnis, this knight who suddenly appeared possessed all the key elements of Odin.

But he did not look like a majestic warrior, but more like the god of death. He carried a strong aura of decay, and the bandages scattered from under his armor looked like a torn shroud.
