Dragon Raja 5; Chapter 117: Thunder and the Watcher (27)

Dragon Raja 5

If her hands weren’t covered in her own blood, she would really want to cover face and sigh.

“Chen Motong… Chen Motong… Chen Motong!” She repeatedly reminded herself, “Calm down! Calm down! There is still a way! There must be a way!”

She tried hard to fight the dizziness caused by blood loss, and tried to find a way out for herself and Chu Zihang, facing opponents who were able to move freely on large ships drifting on the sea, closed metal spaces, low-temperature environments, and at high speeds and even being pierced by bullets.

But the frogmen obviously did not give her enough time to think. A hoarse chanting sound came from the darkness, using some ancient and solemn language, like a monk in an ancient temple opening a long-sealed scripture.

    ***

At that moment, the air within the sealed cold storage suddenly vibrated violently. A dense, spiderweb-like cyan mist was stirred, swirling at high speed like a whirlpool. The ice on the ground, which had been frozen for who knows how many years, melted into snow powder, rising slowly and being sucked into the vortex of mist.

These frogmen weren’t just capable of tearing beasts apart with their bare hands; they could also wield Word Spirits! A powerful offensive Word Spirit was being unleashed, and its serial number must be extremely high, as Nono had no idea what it was—its level was so high it was practically unknown!

The helicopter landed on the deck and Crow was the first to jump down, followed by Lancelot, and then the fully armed commissioners.

The moment they landed, they formed an offensive and defensive formation. Lancelot was the core of the formation, carrying a bag that looked extremely heavy. Following behind him was Susie. Although she was wearing night vision goggles and a mask, the twelve black blades inserted in the belt on her back were her mark. Isabel followed closely behind, carrying a heavy weapons box in her hand. The others held weapons, pointing in different directions, and the red dot of the laser sight flashed on every suspicious position.

With Lancelot around, all of them acted as one, firmly controlling the situation on deck.

There was no sign of any living creature anywhere. The boat was powered down and anchored, gently rising and falling with the rising tides. This location was several kilometers from the nearest coast. Due to the high tides and strong winds, the once bustling commercial port was unusually quiet, devoid of any ships, and the thick fog obscured everything.

It is truly a place without heaven or earth, especially suitable for a life-and-death battle, and only the winner can leave this battlefield.

Lancelot waved his hand, and his team members quickly dispersed and occupied important positions on the deck. One team kicked the door directly into the cabin and began to search the ship step by step.

“Mr. Saeki, you are familiar with this ship. Please lead the way for us.” Lancelot looked at the crow and waved his hand to order the pilot to take off.

This helicopter, loaded with heavy weapons, would remain in the air, acting as an aerial weapons platform. If Lu Mingfei killed or injured more than three people, according to the agreement between Lancelot and Crow, the helicopter could blanket the entire ship with deadly firepower. The weapons it carried could even sink the ship.

Crow put a cigarette in his mouth, lifted the back of his suit, pulled out a pocket submachine gun from his waist, and adjusted his tie.

“Do I look handsome?” he asked Lancelot.

Lancelot nodded. “You’re a little too handsome for a man attending a funeral.”

“But the most handsome gangster I’ve ever seen came from your college, Principal Anjou. No matter if he graduated from Oxford or Cambridge, he has a real gangster hidden deep in his soul.” Crow lit the cigarette in his mouth. “And when he was at his most handsome…”

Crow waved his submachine gun towards the sky and fired continuously. The bullets hit in a straight line, cutting through the tail of the helicopter.

It all happened so suddenly that everyone was stunned, and the pilot was the most shocked, because the crow actually shot at the helicopter’s fuel tank. The result of a helicopter with a fuel tank hit is predictable.

Fortunately, the helicopter had just left the deck and had risen to a height of two people. The pilot made a decisive decision in the face of danger, unbuckled his seat belt and jumped out of the cabin!

The helicopter, out of control, spun and plummeted toward the deck, like a windmill about to mow down a wheat field. Everyone nearby scurried for cover. Crow was no exception. He ran with a cigarette in his mouth, his hair slicked back and the hem of his suit rising and falling, like a groom running away from his marriage.

Lancelot was too late to dodge, because at the critical moment, he grabbed Susie, who was closest to him, and threw her. It was hard to imagine that Lancelot could do this. He had always given people the impression of a mastermind, planning and strategizing, while Susie was the vanguard. Now, the mastermind had thrown the vanguard officer twenty meters away.

The helicopter approached Lancelot with flames and hellish wind sounds. Lancelot stood still and reached behind his back.

The sound of machinery turning came from behind him. When the ancient weapon was opened, the waterproof cloth wrapped around it instantly tore apart. The seven weapons opened like a fan, making sounds that were either low or sharp, like seven bound dragons.
