Dragon Raja 5

“What do you mean?” Chu Zihang didn’t understand.

“You’re always useful to your friends and family, but as for others, who cares?”

Chu Zihang thought for a moment, “Then senior brother is also a useful person, so… don’t be in a hurry to die.”

“If I were to be a bit more sentimental, I’d say it would be useful to you,” Lu Mingfei chuckled.

“My senior brother is useful to me.”

“Luckily I’m not a girl, otherwise I should be hugging you and crying right now.” As I said this, my eyes were actually a little wet.

It’s clear that cheesy pickup lines are better than no pickup lines at all; you can still win a girl’s heart even if you just try hard.

“Senior brother, why don’t you take care of that guy first?” Chu Zihang said.

Lu Mingfei turned his head and saw the fake Auchinez writhing desperately, like a short, thick snake. Lu Mingfei couldn’t understand what this guy was struggling for. Could it crawl possibly onto the ground?

“Let him fend for himself, poor thing.” Lu Mingfei sighed.

He turned around and continued working on separating Chu Zihang from the ground. After making a few cuts, he suddenly turned back alertly.

No! Even when his arms were still intact, the fake Auchinez didn’t climb towards the stairs. Instead, he went to a dark corner, and he’s still desperately crawling towards it. This isn’t because he was delirious from his injuries and went astray; there’s something in that corner.

But now Lu Mingfei was surrounded by that slime, and could only watch helplessly as the fake Auchinez crawled into that corner.

The fake Auchinez bit something off and roared wildly, “Success! Mr. Bunin! The Holy Son has been born!”
His roar echoed through the vast space, like the ecstatic joy of mortals witnessing a god descend from heaven.

Lu Mingfei broke out in a cold sweat. It turned out there weren’t any researchers waiting outside to retrieve the samples, because they weren’t particularly expecting results from this experiment. It was like a petri dish you had no hope for, casually tossed into a corner of the lab, to be checked on the next day.

But that low-probability success actually happened. Auchinez was biting the tow rope of a landline phone. City 023 blocked radio signals, which was why he was desperately crawling towards that corner. And his so-called Mr. Bunin wasn’t the dying old man on the pier, but the “real” Alexander Bunin, the true mastermind behind the entire game.

The news of the successful super-evolution has finally leaked out of this enclosed space, and it may spread throughout the world in a matter of moments. The real mastermind will arrive as quickly as possible to cheer for this great creation.

Before Lu Mingfei could think of a solution, Chu Zihang suddenly roared. Lu Mingfei couldn’t hear what he was yelling at all because his ears were filled with mucus.

A large amount of mucus gushed out from the blood cocoon again, instantly transforming him into a sculpture.

“Success! Mr. Bunin! The Holy Son has been born!” The roar of the pseudo-Auchinez echoed in the central space of the fusion reactor.

Young Alexander Bunin dropped the whip in his hand and stared blankly at the roof.

No longer the fierce and cunning man he once was, his expression was now sincere and even devout. He slowly opened his arms as if to embrace someone who had fallen from the sky.

Just seconds before, he had personally whipped Auchinez. Auchinez and Su Enxi were hung in the very center of the “garden,” with the statue hanging beside them, making it seem as if the three of them were being tortured together.

Auchinez originally intended to create an opportunity for Su Enxi. He provoked Bunin’s anger, causing him to personally attack him and gather everyone around him. At that moment, Su Enxi could simply fire away at will.

But he was wrong about one thing. Su Enxi didn’t fire because she was worried that the bullets would be ineffective against Bunin, but because he was surrounded by the group of children.

Even knowing they were children raised by the devil, she simply couldn’t pull the trigger when she looked at those innocent little faces. She wouldn’t mind destroying the world, if destroying the world was just a matter of pressing a button. But she wouldn’t witness that scene herself.

They were bound and hung up, just like medieval fanatics who burned heretics at the stake.

Bunin soaked the tip of the whip and carried out the flogging on Auchinez, while the children surrounded him, counting and excited as if they were watching a circus.

The fact that such a place was equipped with instruments for flogging makes it obvious who it was used on. These children must have been covered in whip marks, yet the authorities were cheering for the new victims.
Su Enxi didn’t know if Auchinez was still alive. The long whip tore off large chunks of his skin and ripped his muscles. Just as Bunin was about to torture her, the cheers of the fake Auchinez came from above.

Bunin strode away, Auchinez and Su Enxi no longer important to him. His expression was solemn, as if he were going to a once-in-a-lifetime appointment.

He had originally planned to discuss a business deal with the Romanov family, but now he had put it all aside; compared to that great “holy son,” nothing else mattered.

“Where would Father go?” The children gathered around the nuns, looking like little birds nestled against them.

“The Holy Son has been born, and the Father is going to offer his blessing.” The nuns also had tears in their eyes.

A holy child has been born? Even with Su Enxi’s intelligence, she couldn’t understand it. It sounded like a story from the Bible, but a demonic version.

“Come on, children! Let us cheer for the Holy Son!” Bunin called back from the doorway.

The nuns and children burst into cheers and escorted him out the door, leaving only Su Enxi and the dying Auchinez hanging there, swaying precariously.

In the last instant before the slime was poured down, Lu Mingfei raised his hand to shield his head.

This was his only chance to save himself; as long as his mouth and nose weren’t blocked by mucus, he could still breathe and there was still hope.

He stood there, frozen, unable to move a finger, yet he could hear the terrible sound of the cocoon breaking open, as melodious as silk tearing open.

Chu Zihang could clearly see the whole process. His face was glued stiff, and he couldn’t even make a face.

Lu Mingfei, however, could tell from his eyes how amazing and terrifying that scene was.
