Dragon Raja 5; Chapter 296: For Your Majesty (111)

Dragon Raja 5

Judging from the average price of the first two items, Bunin has more than enough money to cover it; it would be best to end the fight without revealing the bag of gold coins.

It’s time to make a move. After succeeding, open the box, take a picture, and give the photo to Christina as evidence. Give the box to Bunin. That’s enough help. As for whether the father and daughter can put aside their past grievances and have a harmonious family, he can’t worry about that.

“The third item today is of higher quality than the previous two…” Bunin said slowly.

As Lu Mingfei was thinking to himself that there were quality differences in this product, Zero had already raised his paddle, “Let’s start with $190 million, no need to waste time.”

The entire audience was stunned. Whether they were eager to try it out or just watching from the sidelines, they were all dumbfounded. Some people seemed not to believe their ears and eagerly looked at the people around them for confirmation, while others were so angry that they were about to slam their fists on the table.

They had all heard of the Romanov family’s wealth and considered Zero a strong competitor, but they never expected the princess’s offer to be so arrogant, subtly implying that “this childish game is a waste of my time.”

Lu Mingfei was also dumbfounded. He hadn’t told Zero about Christina’s illness or Bunin’s request, not because he was hiding it from her, but because it had nothing to do with her. He could handle these small matters himself, but unexpectedly, his boss suddenly went crazy.

After a moment of silence, Semyon coughed. “Does Your Highness think the Romanov family’s wealth is enough to crush all of us?”

You’ll only know once you try.

“Your Highness, I must remind you that I already have a shipment, and its price is currently the lowest,” Semyon said coldly. “Even if I acquire this shipment at a higher price, it will still be a good deal on average. And you, besides money, have no other bargaining chips!”

“Two hundred million dollars,” Zero said calmly.

Everyone was stunned for a moment before realizing that the price had been refreshed to zero. But no one was bidding against her; the previous price of $190 million was her own.

Lu Mingfei was also taken aback, because in his memory, at the auction in Chicago, the girl in the gold sari was also bidding against herself, and her fierce style was exactly the same as Zero’s.

The only difference was that the girl’s domineering presence and radiance intimidated everyone, while when Zero did this, his nonchalant tone was more like buying tofu at the market, giving two pieces of tofu that cost one dollar and ninety cents and telling them to keep the change.

“There’s only one language in the auction house: numbers,” Zero continued refining his little comic. “You talk too much, like a basketball player who’s singing hip-hop while shooting hoops.”

Semyon flew into a rage, his elegant and warm image instantly crumbling. He stood up, leaned forward, and glared at Zero with eyes blazing with fury.

“Semyon, you should know the rules here,” Bunin said in a low voice. He wasn’t being overly aggressive, but he wasn’t joking either.

Semyon forced himself back into his chair, took a deep breath, and said, “Mikhail, give me your chips!”

Everyone present guessed that he was allied with Mikhail, but saying this showed that he didn’t care about exposing the alliance and was determined to succeed.

“Transfer my chips to Semyon’s name.” Mikhail agreed without hesitation, sliding his paddle along the table to Bunin.

The banker looked at Bunin for his opinion, and Bunin grabbed Mikhail’s number and handed it to the staff member next to him, saying, “We don’t restrict customers from exchanging chips, and besides, Mikhail has already given up his seat.”

As large sums of money flowed into Semyon’s account, his confidence and arrogance soared. He stared straight at zero, raised his bidding paddle, and declared, “Twenty-ten million US dollars.”

“Two hundred and twenty million US dollars.” Zero didn’t meet his gaze, which could be interpreted as disdain, or as her focusing on her painting.

“Two hundred and thirty million US dollars.”

“Two hundred and forty million US dollars.”

Prices rose alternately, neither side giving an inch. No one joined the competition, nor did they understand why, even though there were clearly three more items to be sold, these two had to settle the score in this one round.

Zero remained calm and composed, while Semyon appeared extremely excited, his face flushed and his knuckles white from exertion. “Judging from his voice, this guy is already at the peak of excitement,” Finger whispered in Lu Mingfei’s ear. “His heart rate is over 200, and his blood pressure and adrenaline levels are all off the charts. He could give up at any time, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he suddenly had a cerebral hemorrhage and died.”

“Two hundred and ninety million US dollars!” Semyon slowly announced the number, each syllable sounding like a stone being spat out.

Lu Mingfei couldn’t hold back any longer and leaned over to ask Zero what was going on, but before he could say anything, Zero suddenly dropped the pencil in his hand, grabbed his wrist, and pressed it onto the table.

She stared coldly at Lu Mingfei, her gaze so intense it seemed to devour dragons and tigers, and the entire venue was oppressed by her aura.

“Don’t try to persuade me! We’ve lost our country before, and we’ll never allow ourselves to lose anything again!” Zero held up his sign. “Three hundred million dollars!”

After a moment of silence, everyone except Semyon and Mikhail nodded slightly, seemingly understanding the Romanov family’s domineering style. They had once been the highest rulers of Russia, and even today, the dignity of the Tsar still flowed in their blood.

Her Highness the Princess appeared indifferent and aloof, but inwardly she was determined to succeed. The secretary, unaware of her mistress’s mind, rashly tried to dissuade her, only to be warned on the spot.

Only Lu Mingfei was bewildered, because he had no intention of dissuading them. He just wanted to ask what they were after, but he didn’t even have time to ask that question.

Semyon stared at the number in his hand. Three hundred million US dollars—this was clearly a psychological hurdle for him. But under Zero’s relentless offensive, this young man, who was always on the verge of giving up, was unwilling to back down.

He looked at Mikhail across from him and gave up his right to raise his paddle, but Mikhail remained at the table, still providing Semyon with psychological support.

Mikhail nodded slowly, his pupils shining as if they were about to burst into flames.

“Three hundred and fifty million US dollars!” Semyon raised his bidding paddle and announced the number in a hoarse but proud voice.
