Dragon Raja 5

Under the cover of armored infantry vehicles, the soldiers advanced, firing smoke grenades from grenade launchers mounted under their rifles. The wind quickly spread a thick cloud of smoke from the courtyard to the interior. The fierce dogs, barely waking up, charged forward, growling. But after a few muffled bursts of gunfire, they howled a few times in the thick smoke before falling silent. They were ordinary men, but rigorously trained and battlefield experienced. Such individuals, organized with military discipline, would have even the half-bloods on their guard.

The butlers and maids were the same people. It was basically a showdown between two small armies, but it took place in the center of Moscow!

“Don’t shoot! Don’t shoot! Don’t shoot!” The head waitress kept repeating this sentence in a flat voice.

But their rifles were already drawn, their bullets loaded, and they only wanted to destroy the enemy’s front line with saturation firepower once the enemy entered effective firing range. The army that was advancing silently must have thought the same.

Dawn is quiet, but from the moment the gunshots sound, countless lives will be wiped out.

Lu Mingfei looked at Chu Zihang, who looked hesitant. If it was used against infantry, the effect of “Jun Yan” would be much more obvious, but it might turn into a massacre.

The secret party absolutely forbidden to use Yanling to deal with ordinary people unless they are under fatal threat. But from a certain perspective, Chu Zihang in front of him is not a member of the secret party at all. He was a wild hybrid and is not restricted by the secret party’s rules.

At that moment, someone tugged at Lu Mingfei’s sleeve, and Zero came down from the master bedroom on the third floor. Apparently, after being startled, she had even dressed up, changing into a camel-colored hunting jacket with a dark pattern and high-heeled suede boots. Her long, pale blond hair was tied up and tucked under a baseball cap. She was carrying a heavy suitcase, looking like she was about to flee. Lu Mingfei, by contrast, wore a bathrobe, while Chu Zihang was shirtless in just jeans. Lu Mingfei thought, as expected of the Romanov family, running away looked like walking down the Parisian catwalk.

“Leave it to them, they are professionals.” Zero took them behind the marble fireplace.

Lu Mingfei nodded, “Your housekeeper and maid are both very capable.”

“But they’ll retreat soon.” Zero held an exquisite gold-plated telescope and looked at the thick smoke in the courtyard and the vague figures in the smoke. “The security level of Elizabeth Palace is designed to withstand a 15-minute attack by an infantry platoon. The mercenaries accepted the contract to hold out for 15 minutes. Now there are 7 minutes left. We must complete the retreat within 7 minutes.”

“They are indeed mercenaries. What made you think of hiring a group of mercenaries to do housework?”

“That old bastard Alexander Bunin?” Lu Mingfei was so angry that his teeth were itching.

If it was the Executive Department that acted, they wouldn’t be so brazen. While the Secret Party may be ruthless, they maintain a low profile to protect the Dragon Clan’s secrets. The most suspicious person remaining is Alexander Bunin.

This mysterious arms dealer had close ties to the Ministry of Defense and might be able to mobilize the military. When they left Bunin’s house, he personally promised to take care of their safety in Moscow. Even if the Executive Department discovered they were staying at Elizabeth Palace, they wouldn’t dare set foot there. But within hours, Bunin’s promise was broken. On the other hand, the person who can best protect you is also the one who can most effectively kill you.

With a loud bang, an armor-piercing bullet pierced the back door of Elizabeth Palace, and with a hellish scream, it turned everything in its path into powder, and fragments of pianos, desks, flowers and portraits flew into the air. Finally, it was blocked by a solid wall, spewing out a terrifying jet of hot metal, and in less than a second, it turned the exquisite chapel into a blazing ruin.

The shots were fired by the BMP-3 armored infantry vehicles blocking the infantry. While their 100mm rifled cannon wasn’t as powerful as the one on the T-64, it was more than adequate for dealing with an old building like Elizabeth Palace. The housekeepers and maids immediately retaliated, hurling countless grenades from the windows. The continuous explosions prevented the GRU special forces from launching their assault, leveraging their artillery advantage. Both sides sought to suppress their opponents with firepower. The mercenaries’ firepower was dense, the GRU’s was even denser, and combined with the BMP-3’s 30mm cannon, the walls of Elizabeth Palace were no match for their shells.

The number of stray bullets fired into Elizabeth Palace alone could be called a “rain of bullets”. Lu Mingfei, Chu Zihang and Zero were firmly pinned down by the marble fireplace.

Lu Mingfei witnessed a female mercenary’s lung being punctured. Although she received immediate medical treatment immediately and survived, she would surely have died if her condition had continued. The mercenaries’ shooting was cautious; killing even one GRU special forces soldier in public would have exacerbated the situation. However, the GRU soldiers were less concerned about their opponents’ lives. They viewed themselves as attacking a heavily fortified fortress, where ruthless criminals were hidden, ready to be executed without trial.

That wasn’t the worst of it. The worst was the broken tracked T-64 tank, which began to billow with black smoke again! Everyone thought the tank was completely scrapped, but even though its tracks were broken, the rest of the tank might still be working, especially that terrifying 125mm smoothbore gun! The tank’s driver started the diesel engine again.

The firepower of the infantry armored vehicles wasn’t enough to completely destroy the ancient building, and the mercenaries still had cover. But if the T-64’s smoothbore cannon were used instead, a single shot would have shaken the structure of Elizabeth Palace, potentially burying them in the rubble. But they didn’t have a second round of anti-tank missiles, as the head maid’s expression made clear. All the mercenaries dispersed simultaneously; if they were concentrated in the tank’s firing path, they wouldn’t be completely wiped out by a single round.

The T-64’s turret made a full half-circle with a rattling noise, and the smoothbore gun fired with a thunderous roar. As the shell left the turret, flames and smoke erupted from the rear of the turret, and the entire tank shook from the powerful shot.

At the Elizabeth Palace, everyone was stunned because the T-64’s direct shot actually blew off the turret of the infantry armored vehicle!

The GRU fighters concentrated all their firepower on the T-64, but the stewards’ MG4 light machine guns could not penetrate it, and the assault rifles in their hands were useless.
