Lu Mingfei also noticed that Chu Zihang was quite interested in the Easter egg and glanced over there several times. Then Zero quietly pushed Lu Mingfei from behind, and Lu Mingfei walked over to the Easter egg display.

“He’s not some kid, okay? Give him a submachine gun and he’ll storm into the Kremlin and take the real one from you, do you believe it?”

“You can’t judge age by appearance. He’s only fifteen mentally, so he’s a child.” Zero picked up a diamond necklace, glanced at it, and put it back. He waved off the waiter who wanted to introduce him to something. “When I was fifteen, someone gave me an Easter egg. I was very happy. Now he’s fifteen and likes Easter eggs, so I’ll give him one. Every child deserves a gift.”

“Just buy him one made of glass!”

“It’s not something particularly expensive. What I received back then was the original one made by Fabergé.”

“I don’t want to know about the world of you rich people.” Lu Mingfei wasn’t exactly well-informed, but he knew that Fabergé’s Easter eggs were the crown jewels of the art form. The great jeweler spent his entire career crafting eggs for the Tsar’s family. He only created around sixty of them, most of which were treasures in museums. It was hard to imagine someone else acquiring an original and generously gifting it to a fifteen-year-old girl.

“It’s not about the money,” Zero glanced at him, “that man doesn’t like fakes.”

“Tell that real nobleman for me that you have a friend named Lu Mingfei who you’d really like to kneel down to. Does he accept door-to-door delivery?” He blurted out the rubbish, but in reality, Lu Mingfei had no interest in the guy who sent Zero the Easter egg. Given Zero’s looks, it’s understandable that he had admirers at the age of fifteen. It was none of Lu Mingfei’s business. When he was fifteen, he was so poor that he even had to borrow money to read comic magazines. “But why are we here to spend money? Princess, are you angry? If you’re angry, you can beat me up. After that, just transfer the money for your shopping to my account.”

Early this morning, Lu Mingfei was brushing his teeth and Chu Zihang was doing a handstand when Zero pushed the door open and walked in. She was dressed very smartly in a blue-gray cashmere coat and a pair of white high-heeled boots, like the secretary of some important official.

“Gentlemen, the car will be waiting for you downstairs in fifteen minutes.” Zero threw the two coats in his hands on the bed and turned to go out.

In and out, like the wind and lightning, Lu Mingfei still had a mouth full of foam, and Chu Zihang was still standing upside down.

So they attended the charity sale. Zero didn’t explain anything, and Lu Mingfei and Chu Zihang both thought that with such a swift and lightning-fast pace, they should bring some stuff, but they ended up buying a lot.

She sounded prepared, but in reality, she was just exploring the market. She had to pay attention to everyone at the sale, trying to find a way out.

Alexander Bunin was a mysterious tycoon. His business was vast, yet few people had ever met him. Legend had it that he was incredibly generous, willing to do you a favor for free, as a token of friendship. The favor could be large or small, depending on the request, ranging from asking for his personal phone number to securing a massive natural gas contract. His business was concentrated in the military industry, presumably brimming with government connections. This sector was completely controlled by local tycoons and powerful figures, making it difficult for outsiders to interfere.

The Romanov family’s main business was in finance, making them a relatively new elite in Moscow’s upper crust. Aside from General Vatutin, Zero still had no access to the “bigwigs” who survived the Soviet era. Following Vatutin’s lead, she arrived here, but could only afford to spend a bit of money and attract attention. In this “old-school” world, she felt like a debutante, completely inexperienced.

“Who is so arrogant? Aren’t you a descendant of the Tsar’s family? He comes to pay his respects just because you say something?” Lu Mingfei was still chattering.

“If Zero Razumovskaya Romanova had asked him to meet, he would have found an excuse not to come. So I can’t meet him under that name.”

“He’s rebelling! Why wouldn’t he come?”

“The king does not meet the king.” Zero said lightly.

Lu Mingfei was stunned, then nodded. He either thought Zero’s words made sense or that they were awesome.

“Then what name will you use when you meet him?” Lu Mingfei asked.

“It’s not me, it’s you. You’re a hidden tycoon from China. You’re new here and really want to make some well-connected friends in Moscow, so you’re here to spend some money and show off your skills at the sale. I’m your secretary, Renata, and that’s your bodyguard over there. His name isn’t important. You don’t speak much Russian, so I’ll answer all your questions for you.”

“Your family is so powerful in Russia, and you’re already a princess. How could he not recognize you?”

“I was just a child back then and hadn’t been seen in Moscow for many years. He might not have recognized me.”

“But you haven’t changed in appearance, and you haven’t grown taller.” Lu Mingfei said casually.

It is true that Zero seems to have not changed much since she entered school. She could pretend to be sixteen years old back then, and she can still pretend to be sixteen years old now. Time seems to have stopped for her.

“Do you have such a big problem with my height?” Zero asked coldly.

Lu Mingfei’s attention suddenly wandered, and he turned, his gaze following a red figure. It was a girl in a red, backless dress. Her back was slender, her hips were slender, and her long hair, like seaweed, curled at the ends, rose and fell gracefully with each step. She showed little interest in the dazzling array of exhibits, and soon disappeared into the crowd as she walked.

Lu Mingfei came back to his senses and found Zero looking at him coldly.

“That girl just now,” Lu Mingfei quickly pointed in that direction a few times, “from behind she looks a bit like a friend.”

“Do you have friends in Moscow?” Zero’s tone was still cold.

“No, no, similar, I mean a little similar. It’s that club owner, you’ve seen her too, the one in Tokyo.” Lu Mingfei sighed for no reason.

He inexplicably thought of Susan, the mysterious proprietress of Takamagahara. According to Humpback Whale, one day the proprietress suddenly disappeared, and a few days later, a lawyer came to the store with documents signed by the proprietress, transferring the entire place to him.

The humpback whale lamented that his life was all thanks to women, that so many had been kind to him, and that he must work hard to repay them. But then, a moment later, he added with a touch of sadness, “The proprietress looks like a guest from his youth, with whom he had a past affair. He wondered if she had a daughter without his knowledge, and that the daughter, when she grew up, had secretly returned to visit her father.” Otherwise, why would he give away such a popular building for nothing? Was this a farewell, a farewell that would never allow father and daughter to see each other again?
