Dragon Raja 5; Chapter 208: For Your Majesty (23)

Dragon Raja 5

Abbas pushed open the gate and walked in, untied the chains on Snow, picked her up, and stumbled away. He didn’t even have time to untie the rope used to seal her mouth. The chain that was supposed to strangle Snow was still hanging on her slender neck.

But when Abbas passed by the chief engineer, the Russian man suddenly jumped up, grabbed the chain around Snow’s neck tightly, and pulled back desperately.

“Oleg! Your spirit in heaven is watching over you, your death will not be in vain!” The chief engineer didn’t know whether he was yelling or crying.

Caesar was caught off guard. Even he was terrified by Abbas’s Indra state, a normal human would have been terrified, but the chief engineer withstood the pressure and was determined to avenge his brother.

A man as strong as a brown bear could easily break Snow’s thin cervical vertebrae, but what Caesar really feared was not this, but… Abbas!

Abbas roared and turned around. In an instant, Indra reappeared, his pupils turning back to a terrifying blue-white, blazing lightning shooting out of them.

Invisible yet overwhelming majesty radiated out along with the dancing electric snakes. Even Caesar’s heart stopped beating instantly, because the huge electric current was running around in his body, causing paralysis when passing through his heart.

This happened to everyone present, everyone curled up in agony or trembled madly, like some kind of cult gathering, the leader radiating divine power and the followers convulsing. But the cult leader was merely charades; the man radiating blue-white lightning could literally take anyone’s life with a single thought. The chief engineer bore the brunt of the impact. Abbas had already grasped him by the throat and lifted him up into the air, his mouth wide open, spewing tree-like lightning. One could imagine the amount of lightning pumped into his body.

“Abbas! Stop!” Caesar shouted.

He was not thinking about saving the chief engineer. This poor guy who lost his brother might not be guilty of a capital crime, but he could no longer take care of him. If Abbas continued to be so furious, everyone present would die.

But his throat muscles were trembling in an electric state, and his words were distorted and incomprehensible. He knelt on the ground like everyone else, and every muscle in his body seemed to be dancing without bones. He couldn’t even lift his head.

At this moment, a sharp whistling sound was heard in the cabin. The strong wind cut through Caesar’s face like a knife, pressing him hard against the bulkhead. The others were blown away like pieces of paper by the sudden hurricane.

Although the wind was so strong that it seemed to tear his skin apart, the pressure on Caesar was relieved at once. The moment the strong wind hit him, the electric current surging in his body stopped.

Caesar looked up against the strong wind and saw a vaguely spherical area in the center of the cabin. Abbas was suspended in that area. He was still flashing dazzling electric light, but the electric snakes only flowed along his body and could not penetrate the boundary of that area.

Percy stood quietly at the cabin door, stretched out his right hand wearing a white glove, and the lava-colored light flickered in his eyes. Finger hid behind him and shrank back.

Caesar understood immediately. Fortunately, Percy arrived in time and wrapped Abbas with the “Dust-Free Land”, creating a vacuum and isolating the discharge phenomenon.

The “Dustless Land”, which is considered to be a purely defensive word spirit, can actually perfectly restrain “Indra”. This is a usage that is not taught in textbooks.

A moment later, Percy withdrew his right hand. By then, the electric light on Abbas’ body had gone out, and he fell heavily to the ground. He might have already fainted, but considering his bloodline level, Percy allowed him to remain in the vacuum environment for a while longer. Not far away from him were Snow and the chief engineer, who had also fainted. The chief engineer was covered in white smoke, and it was probably difficult to save him.

Percy took a few steps forward and checked Snow and Abbas’s pulse.

He picked up Snow and came to Caesar, placing her in his arms. “Master, please take Miss Snow to rest. They will take Mr. Abbas on a stretcher later. I’ll take care of the aftermath here.”

He reached out and touched Snow’s hair, whispering something strange, “This is what happens when a lonely ship finds a harbor, right?”

    ***

Abbas slowly opened his eyes and turned his head. Snow was lying on the small bed beside him. Her face was still pale, but her breathing was even. She was sleeping soundly on her stomach, like a puppy.

“She woke up once, and I gave her a cup of hot milk and two slices of toasted bread with butter. You don’t know how rare toasted bread is on the ship. They only provide heating for four hours a day.” Someone next to me said.

Caesar sat on the recliner beside the bed, throwing the cheese ball high into the air and catching it with his mouth. He must have been standing there all the time, looking a little tired, and his sunny blond hair had dulled a little.

“Thank you.” Abbas whispered.

“No need to thank me. I didn’t do anything except shouting ‘Abbas calm down’ and ‘Abbas stop’.” Caesar smiled.

“How many people were injured?”

“Everyone was burned by the electric current. Fortunately, no one died. Even the chief engineer survived. However, the burns on his right hand were so severe that the five fingers had to be amputated.” Caesar paused. “I’ve never seen you lose your temper before.”

“Indra,” Abbas said slowly, “The side effect of this word spirit is that it makes me emotionally unstable. In the past, after releasing Indra, I would immediately find a place where no one could find me and hide, allowing my emotions to slowly calm down.”

“So that’s how it is.” Caesar nodded.

This explanation makes sense. “Indra” is similar to the ancient Chinese “Thunder Method,” a powerful and explosive word spirit. While immensely powerful, it also tests the wielder, easily leading to situations similar to “evil invasions.” Abbas frequently meditates, likely using breathing techniques to maintain calm. Ancient Japanese samurai employed a “mind method” to balance the resentment of killing. The stronger the samurai, the more advanced they were in Zen Buddhism, likely similar to Abbas’s situation.

“But I wasn’t so calm in my heart.” Abbas looked at the top of the cabin.

Caesar was slightly startled, then smiled. “No one’s heart is always calm. Even the water in a well will fluctuate. Your strength hasn’t recovered yet, so don’t overthink it.”
