Dragon Raja 5

“Don’t be stupid!” Jude Mai yelled, “Put away your knife, we’ll find another way!”

“There’s really no other way. Do you think I’ve really had enough of living? I’m really afraid of death. If I die,” Finger pointed at his head, “even the people living in your memory will die with me. Only by living can I remember them.”

The black and red aura continued to surge, and the strong wind made Jiude Mai unstable.

“Stop! Haven’t you thought of someone too? Are you giving up just like that?” Jiude Mai tried to approach Finger against the strong wind.

When you are used to a person who is always frivolous, you will be a little scared when you hear him speak seriously. You will hope that his face, which even looks handsome, will collapse quickly and reveal a lewd smile so that you can feel at ease.

“Yes,” Finger looked up, as if he wanted to see through the layers of cabins to see the sky, “but the person I’m thinking of is dead.”

The giant snakes have appeared at the end of the passage. Perhaps because they knew that their kind were being slaughtered here, they gathered together, hissing angrily, their huge bodies entangled together, scrambling for the first place, and got stuck at the entrance of the passage.

Finger slowly walked towards the gaping snake mouths and the spear-like fangs. The black and red aura carried a huge sense of oppression. Jiude Mai couldn’t get close to him at all, let alone stop him. She could only watch.

However, at this moment, her head suddenly began to hurt severely, and a voice penetrated the layers of the cabin and then passed through her skull into her mind. It was the voice of a girl, shouting something angrily in a language that Jude Mai could not understand. The voice was monotonous, repetitive, high-pitched, and even shrill.

Finger obviously heard the sound as well, and turned his head in surprise to look in the direction where the sound came from. It seemed to be the warehouse, where many crew members gathered, so Jude Mai and Finger never got close but stayed away.

How could a human voice possibly come from so far away? It felt as if the entire ship was trembling slightly at that angry sound, and both Finger and Jiude Mai wanted to cover their ears.

The giant snakes clearly showed fear. They were not afraid when Finger approached them with such a powerful aura, but when this voice appeared, they all turned their heads to look in a certain direction.

A group of snakes turned their heads in unison to look in the same direction. The scene was both weird and ridiculous.

A few seconds later, they scrambled to evacuate the passage and scattered like birds and beasts.

Jiude Mai and Finger looked at each other and chased the snakes to the deck. They saw the dark blue snake tails diving into the sea, and the sea water rippled in the cracks of the ice, but soon returned to calm.

This ship had recently become a lair for giant snakes, but when that voice rang out, they immediately abandoned the lair and its prey. Everything before seemed like an illusion: a world of white, the ice storm continued, and the giant ship drifted amidst the icy sea.

“The cracks in the hull have been welded. There were seven leaking watertight compartments. Except for two that couldn’t be repaired, the others have also been welded. The water inside the ship has been drained.”

“The keel has been inspected. It has withstood the impact, but some cracks remain. Due to metal fatigue issues, the icebreaking limit has been reduced from six meters to three meters.”

“There are no leaks in the No. 1 and No. 2 nuclear power compartments, but we are unable to re-ignite them for the time being. Several snakes have invaded the nuclear power compartments, causing serious damage to the equipment.”

“The casualty figures have been tallied. We have lost 22 crew members and 3 senior specialists. The seriously injured are being treated in the medical bay. The death toll may rise.”

“The ice storm still shows no signs of stopping, and our communication with the EVA has not been restored.”

People kept coming to the library to report, and Schneider listened silently. The exquisite and classical little library was now in ruins. A giant snake had invaded here, making a mess of everything, but was burned to death with a white phosphorus grenade.

Its corpse lay beside Schneider, and if you ignored its stench, it would have made a perfect decoration. An old man wearing a breathing mask sat on a sofa surrounded by giant snakes, his face gloomy, like a villain in a superhero movie.

Schneider’s expression was hardly positive, and one could imagine his mood. They were a massive, heavily armed ship, capable of crashing through every iceberg in the Arctic Circle. However, the Snakes, shielded by the ice storm, had staged a brilliant boarding battle. While they had managed to repel the invading enemy, the YAMAL had become a mere coffin adrift in the Arctic Ocean.

The two nuclear power compartments and one diesel power compartment stopped working, and most of the diesel reserves were destroyed with the explosion of the diesel power compartment. They can only rely on the spare small diesel engine set.

But the power that the small diesel generator set can provide is extremely limited, and the temperature in the cabin has dropped to minus 30 degrees Celsius.

It was somewhat comforting that they still had enough food reserves. The precious ingredients and aged wines brought by Percy were intact, so at this moment he was still standing next to Schneider in a standard butler posture, holding a silver tray with a glass of 50-year-old Macallan whiskey on it.

This was originally intended for Schneider to keep warm, but it froze into an ice cube within a few minutes of drinking it.

“The weapons we carried did not include white phosphorus grenades, but someone used white phosphorus grenades to kill more than a dozen snakes. Although they looked like friendly forces, friendly forces who were unwilling to show themselves might not be enemies.” Caesar leaned against the table. The rosewood desk was frozen like a stone.

“Do you want me to separate the crew members over there for interrogation?” Finger’s expression was ferocious, like a Gestapo. “There must be a mole among those Russians!”

“If they were insiders, they should have found a safe place to hide and wait for the giant snake to devour us all.” Caesar shook his head. “But they chose to help us. The only explanation I can think of is that they’re not on our side, but they share the same goal.”

Schneider remained silent.

Caesar’s explanation is easy to understand. For the secret party, Leviathan or God is a terrifying enemy, but it is also a treasure. Everyone wants to find God, some want to kill it, and some want to kneel before it and pray.

They were beset with internal and external troubles, with powerful enemies on their side. With ample food and water supplies, they could theoretically remain on board and wait for the ice storm to pass and rescue to arrive, but the giant snakes could return at any time. How many dragon subspecies of Hydra’s caliber were there in the Arctic Circle?
