Dragon Raja 5; Chapter 200: For Your Majesty (15)

Dragon Raja 5

Abbas delivered three extremely powerful but extremely small-range lightning strikes. His fist did not even touch Hydra’s head. In the few seconds before it hit the surface of his fist, a powerful electric current had penetrated from the snake’s head, paralyzing the muscles of the snake’s neck, and then gathered at Hydra’s heart, converging to form a critical hit.

This was similar to how people who touch an electric switch will jump back, because their muscles will involuntarily spasm when they are electrocuted. Abbas didn’t hit Hydra at all; those three thunderous shocks were really just thunder.

Abbas pulled his fists back to his waist, panting slightly, the golden light in his eyes dimming slightly. But after a moment, his bones crackled softly, and he returned to his boxing form, majestic and imposing, with a strict and law-abiding demeanor.

Although he did not bear the direct impact of Hydra, he was able to build up an extremely high pressure in his fist in such a short time that was enough to repel Hydra, which consumed a lot of his physical and mental strength.

Hydra’s head was raised again, and Indra did not seriously injure this mythical monster. The concentrated electric current could have burnt a rhinoceros’s heart, but for Hydra, it might just be a painful electric shock.

The two sides were still in a state of confrontation. Hydra was swaying slowly and becoming more cautious. Abbas stood still, his eyes not looking at Hydra, but staring at his fist.

He didn’t have an absolute advantage. Abbas didn’t know how many strong electric shocks Hydra could endure, but if he failed to hit Hydra’s head accurately just once, he would become food. Indra gave him a moment of explosive power, but that moment was so short that it only lasted a few tenths of a second.

He meditates whenever he has free time, inspired by his teacher’s instructions. To maximize the power of Indra, he studied Muay Thai, Aikido, and Chinese boxing. He constantly sharpens his blade, a competitor whose perseverance even Caesar admires.

At this moment, Caesar was trying his best to dodge Hydra’s attack. The thick but nimble snake head spitted dark green acid, preventing Caesar from getting close to the warehouse door. It might be its saliva, but judging by the way it burned the floor, the worst result of being sprayed would be disfigurement.

Caesar used his speed to the utmost, tumbling and maneuvering, firing Desert Eagles in both hands, aiming at Hydra’s vulnerable eyes and nose. Hydra’s temperature sensor, even more important than its eyes, was hidden just below the nose.

The five Hydras seemed to be thinking independently. One of them attacked Caesar frantically, but the three confronting Abbas swayed gracefully, just like a little snake rising from the snake charmer’s bamboo basket at the sound of the flute. If you hadn’t seen its ferocious bite, you would even think that this monster was dancing to please you.

However, what surprised Caesar the most was that despite repeated failures, the one staring at Snow was never called over to launch a pincer attack. It was simply because Snow was hiding far away in a corner, and although Hydra’s attack range was wide, it could not reach her.

That was Hydra’s true prey.

Hydra’s second attack began, this time using acid. The thick green liquid sprayed towards Abbas like a rainstorm, with an attack range so large that it was impossible to dodge. But the intense electric light enveloping Abbas was like an invisible force field, bouncing all the droplets back.

Everything within a few meters around Abbas was corroded, and the thick white smoke made him cough softly, but he himself was as unharmed as a god blessed by thunder and lightning.

Indra demonstrates another use for its powerful electric field: it charges all nearby droplets, creating a powerful repulsive force. Abbas once demonstrated this ability before professors: he sat in a rainstorm, drinking tea, and not a single drop of rain could reach his cup.

The true effect of this word spirit is to control the electric field at will, hence it is named after “Indra”, the Thunder God.

Hydra roared angrily. It was such a powerful creature, but its way was blocked by this tiny human.

Abbas coughed and spat out fine blood foam. “Indra” put a huge strain on his body, and even his body flowing with dragon blood could not bear it. He began to bleed internally, and the amount of bleeding was very heavy, but Abbas forced himself to swallow the blood back.

Hydra couldn’t see his condition clearly, but Snow could, and so could the sailors. Now, Abbas was the only one holding everyone’s faith together. If his light were extinguished, everyone would be slaughtered. He was a sword of light, but also a wall of thunder.

He growled, and the lightning surrounding him became more intense. Even a monster with extremely poor eyesight like Hydra seemed to be shocked by the light. It roared sharply, but involuntarily shrank back.

Caesar seized the opportunity, ducking beneath Hydra’s neck, discarding his Desert Eagle and unsheathing the Dictator hidden at his waist. Abbas returned the weapon to him, allowing him to face Hydra barehanded. “Indra” could also be used in conjunction with weapons, as Abbas’s own sidearm was also a pair of Persian scimitars, but Caesar needed this weapon more at this moment.

Almost ignoring the hydra’s tough scales, Dictator cut right down to the hilt. This modern hunting knife, reforged from an ancient alchemically constructed blade, was incredibly effective against dragons and subspecies like the hydra. The mythical dragon-slaying scene was now reenacted in Caesar. Before the Industrial Revolution, dragon-slaying heroes of all generations had mastered the art of deftly dodging attacks and delivering fatal blows to the dragon’s vital points.

Caesar roared and pushed the knife with both hands, cutting a huge gash under Hydra’s neck. The thick and fishy snake blood mixed with the highly acidic saliva in Hydra’s mouth flowed out like a waterfall.

He had anticipated this outcome and dodged as quickly as possible, but the acid still stuck to his winter clothing. When Caesar tore off the winter clothing that could withstand the freezing temperatures of minus fifty degrees Celsius, it had already been corroded by more than half.

The YAMAL’s heating system stopped working as the power went out. At this time, the temperature in the cargo hold was already dozens of degrees below zero. Caesar rushed into the warehouse with his upper body naked, enduring the biting cold.

Behind him, the severely injured head of Hydra swung wildly twice and fell heavily to the ground. Caesar had severed the carotid artery, which was not fatal, but it had cut off the blood supply to the head.

The Hydra realized its mistake. Caesar dodged its onslaught, seemingly barely approaching the warehouse. But Caesar and Abbas remained in close coordination. Caesar had been hiding his potentially devastating Dictator, fearing its intelligence. The three heads it had used against Abbas screamed furiously, unleashing a massive burst of acid. This time, it focused its spray on the wreckage of a nearby forklift, which still shone with sparks. The acid mist ignited, erupting into a blazing rain of flames that descended upon Abbas. Aware of the danger, it immediately needed to eliminate one of its two enemies.
