Dragon Raja 5; Chapter 355: For Your Majesty (170)

Dragon Raja 5

The battle among the Bunins continued. They had acquired higher-level bloodlines, but had not awakened any special spiritual power; their fighting was purely violent and bloody.

Vast splattered blood across the ground, resembling the wild and grotesque murals of ancient cave dwellers. Even deep wounds, exposing bone, healed rapidly. As long as the Golden Elixir continued to work, perhaps only a piercing of the heart or brain could kill them.

“Wow! What a magnificent slash!” Lu Mingze slapped his thigh. “Miyamoto Musashi’s slash that killed Sasaki Kojiro was nothing compared to this!”

Old Bunin had just unleashed a fierce upward strike when the Child Cutter severed all of Little Bunin’s ribs and collarbone. Little Bunin quickly sprayed mucus into the wound to stop the bleeding, then darted away like a ghost, retreating from Old Bunin’s attack range.

However, at this moment, it was impossible to tell who was old and who was young. Their clothes were torn to shreds, leaving only fluttering strips of cloth. What was easier to discern were their ferocious eyes and gruesome wounds.

“You talk as if you’ve actually seen it,” Lu Mingfei remarked casually.

“Yes, I saw him. I was in charge of rowing the boat for Miyamoto Musashi on Ganryu Island that day. Damn it, I was trying to find an opportunity to buy Sasaki’s soul, but before I could even make an offer, he died.” The little devil sighed, “Otherwise, he would have been the greatest swordsman in Japan… Beautiful! It was like a Macedonian pike formation!”

Little Bunin unleashed all his claws, leaving a row of bloody holes in Old Bunin’s chest.

“Which side are you on?” Lu Mingfei asked anxiously.

The clone’s genetic sequence is not much different from the original, and both evolved using Christina’s blood, so their strength should have been roughly equal. However, Old Bunin was an enraged beast, while Young Bunin was fierce yet calm, clearly conserving his strength and learning Old Bunin’s attack habits.

At first, it seemed that the elder Bunin had an overwhelming advantage, but gradually the younger Bunin began to fight back. He did not seek to kill with one blow, but rather, like a bullfighter bleeding the bull, he stabbed again and again. If this protracted battle continued, the elder Bunin would eventually fall.

“You have to trust the devil’s word,” Lu Mingze said lazily. “I said I’d get it done for free, and I definitely will.”

Lu Mingfei felt slightly relieved and turned his gaze to the other side of the pier, only to suddenly realize that Zero was no longer there. He was anxious to get up, but his injured leg simply couldn’t support him.

Just then, Little Bunin suddenly roared, his Spider Slash cleaving the ground of the pier with tremendous force, severing Old Bunin’s two wing bones at the same time. He then rammed Old Bunin’s chest with his right shoulder, his two claw blades piercing in simultaneously.

His goal was probably to rip out Old Bunin’s heart. The only defense Old Bunin could make in his haste was to drop the Child Cutter and grab the two claw blades with both hands to prevent them from penetrating any further.

Without hesitation, Little Bunin severed his own wing bone, flashed behind Old Bunin, grabbed his two wing bones, and snapped them off.

The continuous pain of broken bones made old Bunin roar loudly, but this mistake was fatal for him. Young Bunin kicked him down and stomped on his back, breaking his wing bones one by one as if he were breaking bamboo shoots, but in fact those wing bones were harder than diamond.

He screamed as he tortured the old man, then pinned him to the ground with his broken wing bones.

“They actually lasted nine minutes, that must have been tough.” Lu Mingze glanced at his watch, sighed, and stood up to start tidying up the blanket.

When he knelt down next to Lu Mingfei, he didn’t forget to spread out an exquisite Persian carpet for himself, as if he were on a picnic. Now it seemed like he had finished eating and was ready to pack up.

Lu Mingfei grabbed his collar, looking fierce, “You say you can handle this!”

“Free services always have some flaws; they won’t always be as clean and efficient as you imagine.” The little devil sighed. “That guy was only good enough to stall for time.”

Little Bunin noticed Lu Mingfei’s unusual behavior and looked over alertly, but he probably didn’t understand why Lu Mingfei suddenly acted as if he were performing a monologue, arguing with someone he couldn’t see.
He was holding a broken bone from old Bunin tightly in his hand, like a twisted javelin, pointing directly at the back of old Bunin’s neck. If he pierced it there, he would destroy old Bunin’s entire brain, and even the Golden Elixir would not be able to save him.

At this moment, a deep and long roar resounded from the darkness below, the space began to tremble, the pier swayed precariously, and a strong fishy smell rose like a surging tide.

Little Bunin didn’t care about Old Bunin at all. He rushed to the pier and looked down, but then quickly stepped back the moment he saw clearly.

Without even looking, Lu Mingfei could guess what it was like: one chain after another was breaking, sounding like a string being snapped; a screeching sound came from the walls of the deep trench; and the huge creature was climbing the trench walls with its claws.

A black head slowly rose from beneath the pier, exhaling a putrid stench. Its empty eye sockets held nothing, and even the brain was missing from its mangled skull. This enormous creature should have been dead; it had lain dormant here for years, wandering like a walking corpse, but suddenly awoke, searching for something.

“Did you wake him up?” Lu Mingfei was stunned. Lu Mingze shrugged. “How could I wake it up? It has lost even the most basic senses. But dragons are, after all, stubborn creatures. Perhaps in its fragmented brain, there is still someone’s image and voice.”

“Lu Mingfei, come up here.” A familiar voice came from above.

Lu Mingfei turned around and saw a petite girl standing on the steel cable, her skirt swaying and her long, pale golden hair rising and falling as if it might be blown away by the wind at any moment. She gazed at the enormous black head, her eyes as calm as the frozen Lake Baikal.

“Zero?” Lu Mingfei exclaimed in surprise.

Little Bunin immediately threw the broken bone in his hand at Zero. He sensed Zero’s danger more clearly than the others, even though she was just standing quietly on the steel cable, neither causing any elemental turbulence nor holding any weapon, like a lotus flower blooming silently high above.

Zero deftly dodged to the side, but the blood-red broken bone severed her hair like a sharp blade. She seemed to want to reach out and grab the broken bone, but the speed of the bone was too astonishing. Her hand was scraped raw by the bone splinter, and it was covered in blood. She silently stared at her bleeding hand.

The black snake suddenly became excited. It struggled upwards, heading towards zero, its mouth open, revealing its broken, sharp teeth.

“Get out of the way!” Lu Mingfei roared.
