Dragon Raja 5

Mr. Turing picked up half a coin and examined it. The broken edge of the coin was as bright as a mirror. Only extremely violent and perfectly controlled cutting could cause such a break.

Professor Schneider picked up the tactical knife and was surprised to find that the crack ran from the blade all the way to the back of the knife. This carefully crafted weapon had been completely damaged in the previous cut.

Beowulf grabbed a piece of dead branch. Apart from the cracks in the wood itself, there were no marks on the surface of the branch, and its weight was indeed like that of a wooden product.

Beowulf put down the dead branch with a serious expression. “Is this the toughness of the branches of the World Tree?”

“We can’t be sure what material this thing is made of because we can’t take samples for testing,” Abbas said. “But humans have never been able to create a material of this weight and this strength.”

“But it was actually broken by Lu Mingfei.” Professor Schneider said softly.

He turned to Professor Guderian and said, “I’m afraid we can only come to this conclusion. Your student Lu Mingfei,” he paused, “is a very dangerous being. He possesses very pure ancient dragon bloodline, perhaps even… the Dragon King himself!”

Professor Guderian’s face was pale. It was not that he didn’t want to defend his student, but facing the frozen image, he himself felt that his words were powerless.

The monster, wrapped in an exoskeleton and with wings on its back, exuded a beauty between an angel and a devil. Every attack he made seemed to tear his opponent to pieces. The color of his golden eyes was like lava, but without a trace of warmth.

It can be a god, a devil, or a dragon king, but not a human being.

“The meeting is temporarily adjourned. The elders still have some matters to discuss. Everyone else can leave.” Beowulf said expressionlessly.

Anjou was still lying in the lifeboat and had not regained consciousness. The elders of the secret party returned one after another. Beowulf was the leader of the entire secret party. In his eyes, the board of directors was just a group of young people who were of no use.

People who were not qualified to participate in higher-level meetings stood up.

“Caesar, you should also go and rest.” Beowulf said expressionlessly, “We will inform you if there is any further news.”

Caesar was stunned for a moment, then stood up with the others and left the meeting room.

The corridor outside the conference room was filled with fully armed elite members of the executive department.

This is an extraordinary period, and the academy has the solemn atmosphere of a military fortress. However, it is possible that it was originally a fortress, but it is just disguised as an academy.

Caesar walked through the crowd with an expressionless face.

As the new school director and heir to the Gattuso family, he was entitled to remain at the conference table, but he knew very well why Beowulf asked him to leave.

Because he refused to cancel his engagement with Nuonuo.

The family elders had solemnly expressed their intention to order Caesar to dissolve the engagement. How could a bride from the Gattuso family wander the world with a young man who was still wanted?

Caesar replied that if the elders needed partners—he had no idea whether the old men in his family were widows or lifelong virgins, but they seemed to be a bunch of bachelors—he would have no objection to whomever they married. In other words, Caesar didn’t care who the elders thought of marrying.

When he reached an empty corner, Caesar heard someone calling him from behind.

Caesar turned his head and looked back, and Abbas followed him quickly.

“Are you hiding something?” Abbas asked straight to the point.

“That’s a serious accusation,” Caesar retorted coldly. “What do you mean?”

“Having seen Lu Mingfei’s dragon form, Nuonuo should have understood the seriousness of the situation. The person traveling with her wasn’t some insane friend, but a dangerous monster. Didn’t she try to contact you?”

“I think she’s already on the run with Lu Mingfei.”

“Knowing it was a monster, she still took him and fled?”

“If someone were to reveal their monster side in order to save her, she would immediately side with the monster.”

“You don’t seem to have much confidence in your fiancée.”

“Not really. I would do the same if I were in her shoes.”

Abbas was stunned for a moment and shrugged.

Caesar’s answer was too direct, making it impossible for him to continue asking questions.

“Do you think we can get some information out of that guy?” Abbas asked.

Caesar hesitated for a moment. “We can try, but we need permission to interrogate him. Besides, this man is very cunning and can be easily misled if we’re not careful.”

“Mr. Beowulf just gave this to me.” Abbas showed an electronically encrypted pass.

Caesar was stunned for a moment and then laughed.

He understood Abbas’s intention, which was not to question but to invite him.   He wanted to talk to that guy, but unfortunately, he couldn’t. As a member of the school board, Caesar originally held a high-level black card, which granted him access to almost any room in the academy. However, the black card had been “temporarily” taken away, and the reason was obvious. So Abbas got the pass and came to see him.
