Dragon Raja 3

They had all seen the massive iceberg Erii had conjured out of thin air, and the kind of destruction that had obliterated the dragon-shaped corpse guard left a lasting impression that was more terrifying than anything else. They had never heard of a Hybrid who could control such high-level Yanling, so when they observed Erii, they did so with the mindset of observing a monster. But now, seeing her body in nothing but underwear, youthful and beautiful, the terrifying image was suddenly replaced by more vivid and alluring thoughts. They began to appreciate her as a girl. When boys look at a beautiful girl together, they’re bound to comment on her figure and playfully whistle at her.

“How old is she?” Caesar asked.

“Twenty-one years old.”

“Same age as Nono,” Caesar remarked, “but she looks younger than Nono.”

“Judging by her behavior, her mental age seems to be at the level of a middle or high school student, so she appears younger,” Chu Zihang added. “Did she also request to share a room with you?”

“I don’t have the guts to suggest that! Of course, it was her request,” Lu Mingfei sighed. “The staff saw me bringing a soaking-wet beauty upstairs, and they were more excited than I was, but all I did was play games with a princess all night.”

“That shows she’s anxious, but she trusts you. This is her first time interacting with the outside world, and she needs someone she trusts to be with her,” Chu Zihang explained.

“Why would she trust me? Do I look righteous and respectable, like a good person?” Lu Mingfei didn’t have much confidence in his own virtues.

“I don’t know. That trust does seem strange,” Chu Zihang said. “From your description, her psychological state is unstable. Genji Heavy Industries was built about ten years ago, but the room she lived in was a traditional, old-style Japanese house. Such houses are only found in heritage-level old homes. There are two possibilities: either the entire interior of that room was taken from an old house and reassembled in Genji Heavy Industries, or that room was a replica of the house she once lived in.”

“Why go through such trouble?” Lu Mingfei was puzzled.

“Her psychological state is unstable, and she has poor adaptability to different environments. The Yamata no Orochi tried to maintain her in an unchanging environment to prevent her from losing control.”

“Does that mean she’s on the verge of losing control now?” Caesar was startled.

“She hasn’t lost control yet, likely because of Lu Mingfei. She trusts him, but that trust is very unusual.”

“What exactly is her strange Yanling?” Lu Mingfei asked. “Even the Yanling of the Dragon Maidens doesn’t seem to compare to hers.” He regretted saying this as soon as the words left his mouth.

Chu Zihang didn’t show any extra emotion. “Jörmungandr’s power is the weakest among the Dragon Kings. Her advantage lies in learning and mimicry, which is why she behaves so much like a human. In terms of sheer power, she’s only about as strong as a next-generation hybrid. Erii’s ability should also be at the next-generation level. Her Yanling is called ‘Judgement,’ a highly destructive power, like a god standing in the clouds, judging humanity—hence the name. But its real effect is the ability to strip away the life of any being within its domain, making it a rare ‘command’ type Yanling.”

“Chisei’s ability seems to be much weaker than hers,” Caesar commented.

“Emperor should be the strongest White Empress bloodline descendant, but there’s still a significant gap between Chisei and Erii. The only explanation is that Uesugi’s family head is an anomaly—she’s a Yasha… the strongest Yasha,” Chu Zihang said slowly.

“The strongest Yasha?” Caesar raised an eyebrow.

“That’s my guess. Emperor is a stable Hybrid capable of surpassing the critical bloodline limit. So, what’s the opposite of Emperor? The strongest Yasha—her power should surpass that of Emperor, but her bloodline is not as stable.”

“The fact that Yamata no Orochi dared to imprison something so dangerous in their home is like keeping a bloodthirsty cougar in your garage,” Caesar remarked.

“Yamata no Orochi needs her power. Though she’s a Yasha, she obeys their commands. Before she loses control, she’s been their secret weapon. If she loses control, they’ll abandon her.”

“Lu Mingfei basically stole Yamata no Orochi’s nuclear weapon,” Caesar scratched his head.

“There’s another possibility,” Chu Zihang said slowly, “She might be a god—a god who hasn’t fully awakened yet.”

The three of them fell silent. The thought of a god imprisoned by humans for over twenty years was truly horrifying.

“That can’t be, right?” Lu Mingfei said. “If she were really a god, why would Yamata no Orochi bother exploring the Japan Trench?”

“Are you trying to defend the beauty across the street?” Caesar patted Lu Mingfei on the shoulder. “Not bad for someone who’s spent a night alone with her!”

Lu Mingfei couldn’t stand this fluent Chinese-speaking Italian anymore. At this rate, Caesar would grow into an old Beijing gentleman in his later years, wearing cloth shoes, a silk robe, waving a fan, and sporting a buzz cut in golden hair.

He wasn’t intentionally defending Erii. Sure, she was nice—beautiful, obedient, with a good figure, and capable of defeating an entire mechanized battalion—though that wasn’t exactly a good quality. But no matter how perfect a rich and beautiful girl like her was, she had nothing to do with a loser like him. By some twist of fate, he had hugged her once and seen her in revealing clothes, but this wasn’t ancient China where seeing a girl’s bare arm meant she’d be bound to marry him.

He just had a strange worry in his heart. Since entering Cassell College, one by one, the people around him had turned into Dragon Kings. Even now, whenever he opened QQ and saw Old Tang’s avatar, the one that would never light up again, his heart would ache with pain.

He didn’t care what Erii was, but he just hoped she wasn’t the kind of thing that had to be killed when the story ended.

“Lu Mingfei is right. The possibility of her being a god is very small. If she were a god, then the Yamata no Orochi wouldn’t need to spend any more time exploring the Japan Trench. It’s clear that even they don’t know that the gods have left Takamagahara,” Chu Zihang said, and Caesar nodded.

“The Uesugi family head’s psychological state is unstable, and her physical condition might be as well. Lu Mingfei saw various medical equipment and on-call doctors outside her room, the kind of equipment used in intensive care units. This suggests her physical condition isn’t good, and she needs medical support at all times,” Chu Zihang continued. “If we want to ensure her safety, we should return her home as soon as possible, back to an environment with proper medical care.”
