Chu Zihang shook his head. “Do you think something like that would be available online? Even if it was, it would only be the public blueprints, which wouldn’t include anything about the inner zone.”

“That makes sense,” Lu Mingfei said, scratching his head. “A game this hard wouldn’t have any walkthroughs because the people who’ve played it probably died inside.”

They had been through the inner zone before, but it was all a blur in Lu Mingfei’s mind. The last time they were here, they were guests, escorted by secretaries in uniforms, heels, and black stockings who had already pressed the floor buttons for them. At the time, Lu Mingfei had been too busy marveling at how high-class the underworld headquarters was to bother memorizing the building’s layout.

“When you’re stuck with no options, why not aim straight for the top? The most important floor has to be the top one! Let’s go take a look,” Caesar said, always one to take the direct route.

“Damn it, the most important floor is also probably the most heavily guarded, alright? I say we go to the 12th floor first! I remember that’s where a bunch of telephone operators work. Even if they recognize us, we can just flash our guns, and the girls will be too scared to stop us! We can still make a run for it,” Lu Mingfei quickly countered. “Right, brother?”

Caesar was the team leader, so the only way to stop him was by outvoting him. Although Chu Zihang was more of a lone wolf, at least he wasn’t as straightforward as Caesar.

“The operators are on the 14th floor, not the 12th,” Chu Zihang said emotionlessly, “but I agree with Caesar. Since we don’t know where to start, why not aim for the top?”

Lu Mingfei sighed inwardly. His teammates were all heroic types, which only spelled trouble for him, the coward. He realized why Chu Zihang sided with Caesar—Chu Zihang wasn’t as single-minded, and he understood the dangers of the top floor. But the problem was, Chu Zihang just didn’t care about risking his life!

“Hey, hey, hey! Listen to me! Sure, the top floor might be important, but there’s no way Yamata no Orochi would use such a scenic spot for their server room, right? Our main goal here is to destroy Kaguya-hime’s core, isn’t it? Let’s take care of that first, then go check out the top floor, okay?” Lu Mingfei hurriedly came up with an excuse.

Caesar scratched his eyebrow with the barrel of his gun, seemingly convinced, and reluctantly nodded. “Alright, we’ll start with the 14th floor. The safest plan is to grab an operator and ask her how to navigate this building.”

Lu Mingfei mentally groaned. Safest plan? Boss, your plan is like something out of a war drama—sneaking into the enemy’s stronghold, using their own explosives to blow it up, and then strolling out while smoking a cigarette you stole from them. That’s revolutionary optimism!

At least he had delayed Caesar’s impulsive idea for the moment. As Lu Mingfei turned to press the button, the elevator suddenly chimed and came to a stop.

The group had made a rookie mistake—they had been so focused on talking that they ignored a critical detail: the elevator had been going up the entire time!

Caesar and Chu Zihang’s expressions shifted, and their hands instinctively moved to their guns. The elevator had clearly been called from an upper floor, and now they were stopping on the 21st floor. What was on the 21st floor? Hopefully, it wasn’t the Execution Bureau’s headquarters—walking out to face dozens of drawn pistols would be a nightmare.

The doors opened, and a woman in a white blouse and A-line skirt, looking like a secretary, rushed in, colliding chest-to-chest with Caesar. Both of them froze for a moment, and the secretary slowly lifted her head to meet Caesar’s cold gaze.

Caesar finally got a clear look and realized that the person before him wasn’t a young maiden but a mature woman in her late thirties. She had a voluptuous figure and a poised demeanor, with a meticulously made-up, coldly beautiful face.

What terrible luck—just after sneaking in, they had run into an acquaintance: Sakurai Nanami, the head of the Sakurai family! Being the head of a family meant she was no simple woman. Although she hadn’t studied at Cassell College, so they couldn’t determine her bloodline rank, it was certain she wasn’t below an A-Rank.

The worst part was that Sakurai Nanami had laid eyes on them! She was scanning Caesar from head to toe with razor-sharp eyes, as if trying to slice him apart inch by inch.

Chu Zihang was on the verge of drawing his sword but restrained his killing intent, waiting to see how things unfolded. Luckily, Nanami didn’t recognize Caesar immediately because he had thickly smeared tanning cream over himself. As an Italian, Caesar had naturally pale skin, making him stand out too much in Takamagahara, so he used the tanning cream to turn himself a deep bronze and applied white lip gloss, giving him the look of a beach-loving trendy guy. This disguise had become popular in the host club, with other hosts imitating it in the past few days. Caesar had also worn makeup tonight, and with his black military cap pulled low, there was a chance Sakurai Nanami wouldn’t recognize him.

Chu Zihang was betting that Nanami wasn’t part of the Execution Bureau and wouldn’t be familiar with all their members. From the personnel records of Japan’s branch, it seemed she was more of a training officer.

There was little choice but to gamble. If they started a fight now, there would be no chance of success. Nanami’s strength aside, the countless black-coated men behind her were an undeniable deterrent. The 21st floor was an expansive hall filled with bookshelves, resembling a library. Black-coated, sunglasses-wearing men worked in the aisles between the shelves. While it wasn’t certain if this was the Execution Bureau’s headquarters, a large portion of its personnel seemed concentrated here, and these men, armed to the teeth, could easily overpower a mechanized division.

Lu Mingfei felt despair wash over him. Even if Sakurai Nanami didn’t recall Caesar’s face, Caesar’s well-toned physique was rare in Japan. It was like a whale trying to blend in with a group of seals—no one would mistake it for a seal, no matter how hard it tried to fit in.

Caesar was just as uneasy, forcing himself to keep a straight face, though the twitching at the corner of his eye betrayed him.

Suddenly, a surge of killing intent flashed in Nanami’s eyes!

“ばかやろう!” she barked, slapping Caesar hard across the face.

His cheek burned as Caesar froze. This wasn’t the first time he’d been slapped by a woman; it had happened before when girls who admired him but couldn’t win his affection would slap him and run off crying. Those girls usually had weak hands, and their slaps didn’t hurt—rather, the red marks they left were like badges of honor for Caesar, and he accepted them with grace. But Nanami’s slap was entirely different. It was delivered with the sharpness of a katana technique, specifically the “Right Pheasant” move from Japanese swordsmanship. Caesar hadn’t even had time to dodge, and a bright red handprint quickly appeared on his face.

“ばかやろう! Why are you late?” Nanami roared.

“Hai!” Caesar, though confused, quickly bowed repeatedly.
