Dragon Raja 3

After a moment, their depth had reached 300 meters, no longer within the biologically dense shallow waters. Outside, there was only darkness, as if the universe had just begun; they floated in the center of an empty world.

“You all say the pressure outside is great; just how great is it?” Lu Mingfei asked.

“Supposedly around 30 atmospheres, equivalent to having 200 kilograms of weight standing on you,” Caesar calculated in his head.

“Is that girl really 200 kilograms? You might as well say I have a pig farm standing on me.”

“When you reach the bottom of the Abyss, there will be 20 pigs from the pig farm standing on you,” Caesar laughed.

Chisei listened in on the diving team’s chat through the communication channel, imagining this group of simpletons singing and dancing in the cramped cockpit. It was truly strange; despite the heavy burden on his mind, hearing this group of neurotics ramble aimlessly allowed him to relax slightly.

“Chips, Chips, respond if you hear me.”

“Long legs, long legs, I can hear you clearly, but you need to speak a little quieter. If Caesar releases the Kamaitachi, he’ll hear two women chatting next door to the cockpit.”

“There’s only one pretty sister talking, while the other messy girl eating Chips is hiding on the floor, remote controlling!”

“I’ve gained weight and can’t fit into that little space, so I’ll just have to put you, with your great figure, in a tough spot. But even if I hadn’t gained weight, I still couldn’t withstand the high pressure of the deep sea. My Yanling is so boring; I can’t be a vanguard; I’m just destined to be a nanny,” Mai said.

“Who isn’t a nanny?” she sighed. “We’ve all turned into full-time nannies for these kids.”

In the narrow space between the No. 3 and No. 4 watertight chambers next to the cockpit, Mai bent in a very alluring way. The area was filled with pipes, but fortunately, she was a trained ninja, allowing her body to become soft and flexible when necessary, enabling her to fit into this cramped and twisted space. To catch this ride, she hadn’t eaten all day, a decision that now seemed very wise, as one pipe pressed against her waist while another dug into her lower abdomen. If she had something in her stomach, she would probably be unable to hold back a vomit. Her bodysuit was tighter than the armor Sakura wore, the surface slick like fish scales. After putting on this bodysuit, her already slim waist was further compressed, making it feel as if she were wearing a whale-bone corset, restricting her breathing. If she struggled to fit in, a girl like Chips would likely get stuck in the pipes.

However, it was precisely because this space seemed impossible for a living person to squeeze into that the equipment department and the Ganryū Research Institute hadn’t checked it.

Mai turned on a powerful flashlight, illuminating the space above her. On the black metal shell was painted a yellow-and-black symbol—the nuclear radiation symbol. There was actually a nuclear fuel chamber in this submersible. Taking a deep breath, she tightened her waist even more and managed to crawl through the pipes, circling around the nuclear fuel chamber. She took out a Geiger counter from her backpack and pressed it against the surface of the fuel chamber; this device was specifically used to measure radiation levels.

Mai glanced at the Geiger counter’s readings: “Alpha particle levels are severely exceeded. This isn’t a nuclear fuel chamber; it’s a nuclear bomb. What is the Oni Clan planning to blow up? This submersible is a manned nuclear bomb. Those three idiots haven’t realized that their mission is a death sentence. What should I do now? Disarm the nuclear bomb? Just so you know, I majored in the humanities at Todai; disarming nuclear bombs isn’t my forte, although I did have a boyfriend who was a nuclear physics PhD.”

“It’s not that difficult. This nuclear bomb was modified from a nuclear fuel chamber, and the overall technology isn’t complicated. You just need to disconnect its detonation circuit; there’s no need to touch the main body of the bomb. I’ve even sent you the disassembly method in a document,” Chips said. “But once you disconnect the detonation circuit, the people on the Sumeru Throne will notice. The circuit self-check will identify a problem, so you’ll have to disguise the disconnection of the detonation circuit as an accident. I also provided instructions on how to create that accident, didn’t I?”

“But that requires climbing outside the submersible! And I’m currently 500 meters underwater!”

“That’s why I told you to bring the medication; after injecting it, you won’t be afraid even at a depth of 8,000 meters. But remember, you must take the stabilizer four hours later. If you don’t stabilize, the bloodline will go out of control, and no one can help you in the deep sea,” Chips said.

“I got it, I got it! Stop nagging; you sound like a mother!” Mai pulled out a thick air syringe from her waist, filled with a blood-red substance. She pierced the needle into the vein of her wrist, and the compressed air automatically injected the substance into her bloodstream.

The substance flowed through her blood to every corner of her body, causing intense chemical and physiological changes to occur silently, as if her strength extended like tangible vines to the ends of her limbs. Mai tilted her head back and took a deep breath, as if trying to inhale both heaven and earth. Her unparalleled will, strength, and majesty—she already possessed an aura befitting a queen, which now multiplied tenfold in this cramped space, making her appear like a queen surveying her trembling, speechless subjects.

“Egret, Egret, have you transformed into Her Majesty the Queen?” Chips asked softly in the encrypted channel.

After a long silence, a slight crack appeared in Mai’s queenly, silent, solemn, and magnificent face. She sighed helplessly, “Is this how you talk to a queen? Little servant, go wait over there. This queen is going to do some manual work disarming the bomb.”

Disarming the detonation circuit really wasn’t difficult. The Ganryū Research Institute had various methods to add anti-tampering devices to the detonation circuit, but they never expected someone could invade this maze of narrow pipes. It was like how a lunar module doesn’t need to lock its doors on the moon; anyone knocking would be so scared they might die. Mai picked out the gold and blue wires in the detonation circuit, stripping away the outer insulation and the internal nano-coating. She connected a thermal fuse resistor between the two exposed wires. This device was the smallest timing detonator; as current flowed through the thermal fuse, the heat would gradually melt it, allowing the two exposed wires to touch. Without the resistor, the strong current would burn out the circuit. By then, the thermal fuse would have disappeared, leaving no evidence behind.

“The thermal fuse needs about five minutes to melt. During these five minutes, how about going for a deep-sea walk?” Chips suggested.

“This conversation ends here, little servant, stay at home and wash yourself clean while you wait for me,” Mai replied.

“Okay, I’ll wash myself until I smell like flowers. Remember to take the stabilizer; the bloodline enhancement only lasts for four hours!” Chips’ voice suddenly became unusually serious. “Otherwise, no matter how fragrant I make myself, no one will come to pay me a visit.”
