Dragon Raja 3

“Hey friend, is this your newly adopted godmother?” Lu Mingfei typed furiously into WeChat.

“Jealous much? Are there women of this caliber in Japan? Or is it all just bowlegged chubby ladies, hahaha!” Lu Mingze replied immediately.

“You’re really in South America?”

“Of course! I’m feeding llamas at Machu Picchu right now. Llamas are humanity’s good friends because they’re delicious.”

“Beast! I’m stuck in the depths of hell in Japan! If you’ve got any lifesaving tricks, send one my way now! But let’s get one thing straight—I’m not making a deal with you. I need to save at least half my life to live long enough to see the Four Modernizations!”

“No problem! With such a noble and patriotic goal, how can I, as your little brother, not do my best to help? I’ll finish the Four Modernizations for you by tomorrow! But does that mean once it’s done, you’ll be okay with dying?”

“Get lost! Talk business!”

“I am serious. I think this beautiful woman and I have a deep spiritual connection, and she has a great figure. She’s my destined soulmate. I’m considering proposing to her. Will you come to hell to attend my wedding, brother?”

“Talk! Business!”

“Geez, it’s been a while. Can’t we just have some banter? What’s the fun in being all serious… Anyway, the situation you’re in right now is pretty bad. Caesar and Chu Zihang saw something way too secretive in the mural hall, and the entire Genji Heavy Industries building has been locked down to capture you all. All the emergency exits are under Kaguya’s control, so regular people can’t open them, and it’s tough to break through by force. That’s why I stored an electronic key in this phone. You can use it to unlock any door in the building.”

“You’re being that nice to me?” Lu Mingfei was skeptical.

“Hurry up, brother. The real earthquake hasn’t even started yet. What you just felt was only a small preview. You’re such a kind-hearted person, you wouldn’t want to watch all those innocent girls die in an earthquake, would you?”

Lu Mingfei sprang to his feet, pushing through the sweaty girls and squeezing his way to the emergency door. Sure enough, there was a new app on his phone called “Electronic Key.” When he opened the app, the screen displayed a constantly changing complex pattern. He waved the phone in front of the scanner, and with a “beep,” the red light turned green, and the emergency door swung open with a loud creak. The girls looked at Lu Mingfei with eyes full of admiration, as if he had just pulled off something simple and heroic. In their minds, the problem with the building’s security system had been resolved because this young, handsome—though “handsome” was a bit vague—Execution Bureau officer had been specially sent to manually open the door! He had saved everyone on this floor!

Before entering the emergency exit, the girls all kissed Lu Mingfei on the cheek. He had never had this kind of luck with women in his entire life—surrounded by hundreds of beautiful girls, he was momentarily so overwhelmed with joy that he became dumbfounded.

The floor was quickly cleared, and Lu Mingfei blended in with the girls as they headed downstairs. By the time they reached the third floor, a commotion arose from below. Lu Mingfei peeked down and his face turned pale. The crowd had been blocked on the ground floor, where the Execution Bureau had taken control of the exit. Officers were loudly ordering the girls to stop, and some were busy making phone calls, likely seeking higher-level instructions. Others were checking the girls’ ID cards, which had their photos printed on them. It seemed that even if the door downstairs was opened, everyone’s identity would have to be verified before they could leave. In this situation, even though Lu Mingfei had a somewhat ordinary face, he wouldn’t be able to slip through unnoticed. All the people coming down from the 14th floor were girls, so it would be suspicious if this “young and handsome” Execution Bureau officer didn’t get checked multiple times.

“Do you have any other tricks besides the electronic key? Come on, Lu Mingze, show me something fast! There are Execution Bureau officers at the exit!” Lu Mingfei quickly sent another message to Lu Mingze.

“Why not try the navigation? See if there’s another way.”

“Navigation? What good is that? Navigation is for driving!”

“I upgraded the navigation a little, hehe.”

Lu Mingfei opened the navigation on his phone, and sure enough, the interface was different from usual. A blueprint of the building’s structure appeared on the screen. The entire skyscraper was transparent, outlined in deep blue and light blue lines. Every floor was clearly shown, including the 22nd floor, where Kaguya’s mainframe was located, and the hidden floor storing the murals. Red dots flashed inside the building, ranging from just a few on some floors to dozens on others. The densest concentration of dots was in the corridor where Lu Mingfei currently stood. He immediately understood—the red dots represented people. Above the 20th floor was the office area for the family’s upper management, including members from the Kanto and Kansai branches, the Execution Bureau, Ganryū Research Institute, and Maruyama Construction, none of whom seemed to be in a hurry to evacuate. In the control room on the 22nd floor, the technicians were calmly working. Below the 20th floor was the general office area, where companies under the Yamata no Orochi umbrella operated. The employees working overtime late at night were running around like headless chickens, clearly overwhelmed by fear, which had overtaken their sense of discipline.

Additionally, there were some bright golden dots clustered in the center of the building, but Lu Mingfei had no idea what those represented.

He needed to find a route with fewer people because he couldn’t tell whether the red dots were ordinary employees or Execution Bureau officers. If he ran into the latter and was asked to show his ID card, he’d be finished. But there were people on every floor—the skyscraper felt like a city in itself. Anxiously, Lu Mingfei scrolled through the screen, searching for a path, while the Execution Bureau officers were already moving through the girls and heading upstairs.

He noticed that there was indeed one floor with almost no people. Oddly, that floor had no number—its label was the Greek letter “ξ.”

This letter was pronounced “ksi” and often represented a random variable in mathematics—something uncertain.

A thin red line appeared on the building’s schematic, leading from Lu Mingfei’s current position to the mysterious “ξ” floor. This was the route designed by Lu Mingze’s modified program to guide him to safety.
