Dragon Raja 3

“Brother, loving a woman isn’t just secretly watching her back and wanting to be with her; it’s using your own hands to help her into a wedding dress and take it off, firmly holding her hand to prove to her that you exist, that no one can replace your position. She’s your prisoner, living in your cage! If someone dares to touch her or anything you care about, you cut off their hand.” Lu Mingze’s little face twisted slightly, wearing a faint, sinister smile. His words came out rapidly like a storm, giving Lu Mingfei no chance to breathe… This was his true face; he was a devil, with flames of violence and desire coursing through him. He never spoke in the name of love or loyalty; all he believed in was fire and sword.

“Shut up, you bastard!” Lu Mingfei suddenly shouted angrily.

Lu Mingze was taken aback. He looked a bit scared, blinking his eyes and taking a step back. Lu Mingfei stood there dazed for a few seconds, tiredly stepping back, then plopped down on the ground.

“Can you not be so vulgar? What you said is really dirty,” Lu Mingfei said softly.

“Is there such a thing as a clean devil in this world?” Lu Mingze replied softly.

“I don’t want to make a deal with you; I don’t have the courage. I’m really scared,” Lu Mingfei admitted.

“I know,” Lu Mingze nodded.

“Sometimes I feel that making a deal with you is scarier than dying. I don’t know why I think that, but I just can’t bring myself to trade with you; I want to stay far away,” Lu Mingfei said. “I sometimes think you’re quite nice, with your free services and all, but I’m really scared… not of you, but of your deals.”

“So you’re saying this time you’ll refuse?” Lu Mingze asked.

“Just go. Chisei is still trying to find a way to save us; maybe when I get back to reality, I’ll hear the safety line going off, and we’ll be pulled back to the surface in a flash,” Lu Mingfei said. “You don’t really know me that well… I really want Nono to be happy. I like her. I truly can’t imagine what it would be like if she married Caesar. But I don’t feel like Caesar is stealing something from me; Nono was never mine to begin with. I just can’t bear to think about what I should do and where I should be when they’re so happy, so I don’t feel all alone. She can’t be a prisoner; if she willingly became a prisoner living in my cage, she wouldn’t be Nono anymore, and then I wouldn’t like her.”

Lu Mingze was silent for a long time, gently sighing. “So this deal is really going to fall through?”

“Just go! Stop pretending; you’re the devil, and you don’t understand these things,” Lu Mingfei said, lowering his head and waving his hand. “Next time you come to see me, don’t lecture me. Let’s save time; if there’s something, we’ll get to it; if not, we’ll dismiss it.”

A piece of paper was handed in front of Lu Mingfei.

“I’m not crying; why are you giving me tissues?” Lu Mingfei mumbled.

“The password to activate the nuclear reactor,” Lu Mingze said. “Nono doesn’t like celebrating her birthday because she feels like she ages a year every time. So she always avoids that day, hosting a party with her close friends the day before, pretending nothing happened on her birthday. When Caesar set the password, he didn’t use Nono’s real birthday but the day he threw her a birthday party every year. The English arrangement puts the day first, then the month and year.”

The card handed to Lu Mingfei was a greeting card. He was surprised to open it, revealing a handwritten password inside and a beautiful note saying, “An early birthday gift for my dear brother Lu Mingfei.” Looking at the front of the card, it showed two boys running in the rain holding lotus leaves as umbrellas. Lu Mingfei stared at Lu Mingze in disbelief. It seemed like this card had been prepared long ago, which meant Lu Mingze had no intention of making a deal with him from the start.

“But I still have several months until my birthday…”

“Too bad! It’s not a holiday, and I can’t insist it’s a customer feedback event. Just think of it as a birthday gift,” Lu Mingze sighed. “Brother, I know you won’t trade with me. That’s not your style. You never trade with me to save yourself. The first time was for Nono, the second time was for Chu Zihang… You would never trade with me just to survive; I’ve known that for a long time, so forcing you is useless. If one day you’re willing to trade with me for your own sake, that means you’ve fallen into despair, and our contract will immediately take effect, and everything you have will belong to me.”

“Am I really that self-sacrificing?” Lu Mingfei grumbled. “Then don’t call me brother; just call me Lei Feng.”

“Lei Feng can’t compare to you. You’re the Prometheus who stole fire,” Lu Mingze said. “I still have to catch my train. If you need anything, just text me.”

“Hey, hey… Does it work to input the password in this illusion?” Lu Mingfei asked awkwardly. After receiving such a significant gift from the little devil, he felt a bit guilty, realizing he shouldn’t have called him a bastard earlier.

“You can input it anywhere, even on your phone’s keyboard,” Lu Mingze shrugged. “You can think of this password as a yanling; it will take effect when you want to use it. Now I’m off.”

“Okay, goodbye,” Lu Mingfei said.

“Goodbye.” After saying this, Lu Mingze suddenly pulled out the Desert Eagle again and shot seven or eight ketchup shots at Caesar and Chu Zihang’s faces before laughing and running away.

Lu Mingfei sat up straight. He was still in the cockpit, with Corpse Guardians moving swiftly around the Trieste, the inky black blood splattering in the seawater, and in his hand was a small birthday card.

The ghostly-toothed dragon viper was already circling and biting at Caesar and Chu Zihang’s Zephyr gear. Fortunately, the toughness of the titanium-magnesium alloy was far superior to that of bronze, so it was still quite challenging for these small creatures to bite through. Lu Mingfei lunged for his discarded combat suit, retrieved his phone, and input the password, treating it like a phone number. Chu Zihang was already exhausted, less than five meters from the nuclear power chamber, but his metal prosthetics were broken, and he couldn’t move the heavy pile of lung snails.

After entering the password, Lu Mingfei forcefully hit the dial button.

A spherical figure suddenly stood up; it was the previously unconscious Caesar! His pupils burned bright, crushing the dragon viper clinging to him with his metal prosthetic arm and forcefully pushing through layer after layer of lung snails. He stepped past Chu Zihang, steadily approaching the nuclear power chamber. Lu Mingfei was stunned; only then did he understand Lu Mingze’s meaning. Lu Mingze had not given him the password to the nuclear power chamber but rather a password that could make hope come true. At the moment he entered the password, a destiny beyond all rules began to unfold; before this password, all laws were overturned, and all people and things revolved around Lu Mingfei’s wish. The resurrected Caesar was not acting on will but to fulfill Lu Mingfei’s wish!
