Porquinho panted for a while longer. “I’ve got a small villa outside the city. Dig up the floor on the first level, and you’ll find what you’re looking for… Along with the money I stashed for my escape. I was planning to hide out in some mountain for the rest of my life, but you came before I could decide.” He paused, then smirked. “Think carefully before you go there. It’s both honey and poison. One day, you might end up just like me, and then another Student Union president will hunt you down across the ends of the earth.”

Lu Mingfei kicked him again. “That’s not your problem! Worry about yourself first!”

“Your name’s Ricardo, isn’t it? You’re pretty unusual. I never met anyone like you when I was in the college.”

“Just an alias! Don’t even think about going after my family! My parents are stronger than me! You’d be walking into your own death!” Lu Mingfei sounded a bit nervous.

“You’re so naive… Ricardo.” Suddenly, a drum-like sound echoed from Porquinho’s chest, similar to the noise he made when he activated the Bronze Throne earlier.

Lu Mingfei sprang up, bracing himself with one hand on the ground, flipping away to a safe distance. He pulled a fresh magazine from his waistband, ready to reload his gun.

Porquinho let out a roar, his eyes burning with intensity. His heavily muscled, metal-like body trembled violently, and golden veins bulged on his skin.

Two seconds later, thick, foul-smelling blood sprayed from the back of his neck. He collapsed forward, the blood shooting several meters into the air, before turning into a mist of blood and scattering in the wind.

Porquinho killed himself in a way that was hard to believe. He no longer had the strength to move a finger, yet he could still control his powerful heart. He forced his heart to pump blood with such tremendous pressure that it pushed all the blood out through the wound in the back of his neck. His death was decisive—he severed his own lifeline completely, leaving no chance for anyone to save him. Lu Mingfei could only stare blankly.

The effects of the Bronze Throne faded quickly, and Porquinho’s body shriveled before Lu Mingfei’s eyes, like a deflated balloon. He had only one last breath left, lying there spitting up blood, mumbling something. Lu Mingfei leaned in close to hear.

“I’ll never get a chance to go to any sanatorium. The Medical Society wouldn’t let me live… And besides, a free piggy… Should run free until it dies…”

Porquinho calmly closed his eyes.

Lu Mingfei slowly lifted his head, gazing at the clear night sky. Tonight, Rio de Janeiro had lost a villain, but the world would not become any better. When the sun rises tomorrow, this city will be as bustling as ever, with different factions celebrating and plotting to claim the throne of the underworld emperor. The young people, trying to move from the hills to the city, would still join gangs for their dreams or desires. As long as human greed remains unchanged, the order of the world won’t change either. Even if a hundred Dragon slayers came to Rio de Janeiro, nothing would be different.

When the action team arrived, they found Lu Mingfei sitting on the tracks with his gun, and Porquinho lying quietly in a pool of blood beside him. Porquinho had returned to his former shriveled state, his comical little mustache, which had fallen off during his transformation, now gone. He actually looked somewhat delicate.

The agents surrounded Porquinho, chambering their weapons, but Lu Mingfei waved them off calmly, indicating that it was over—the mission was completed. “Senior! Senior! Senior Ricardo!” The new recruits cheered excitedly.

The drone’s camera resolution was limited, and EVA had cut off the livestream halfway through. They had only seen the part where Lu Mingfei descended like a giant eagle, battling Hercules hand-to-hand. In their eyes, the second half of the fight must have been even more brutal, with Lu Mingfei eventually severing Hercules’ carotid artery, killing the iron-skinned monster. No one could have imagined that, after fighting so fiercely, the two had ended up gazing at the night sky and talking for quite some time.

The senior agents glanced at each other, looking a bit awkward. They had traveled all the way to the Southern Hemisphere, putting in considerable effort, only to end up as mere background characters.

Countless police cars, sirens blaring, arrived from all directions but stopped a few hundred meters away. The police quickly set up barricades and formed a human wall to prevent journalists and bystanders from getting close. The college’s agents had already smoothed things over with the police, who were more than happy with the arrangement. The police chief didn’t want to know the details; he just needed to take one last look at Porquinho’s body and report the killing of the crime lord as a political achievement.

The action team members spread out to clean up the scene. Porquinho’s body was zipped into a body bag and thrown into a milk truck. Milk, conveniently, could be used to wash away bloodstains. Some team members scrubbed the tracks with brushes dipped in milk, while others gathered the spent shells from the scene. A construction team would come in overnight to repair all the damage, especially the bullet holes. EVA had shut down all the cameras along the route, leaving no video evidence. The cleanup team, posing as journalists, would interview key witnesses in the morning, paying them off to keep quiet.

Lu Mingfei sat there in a daze, Porquinho’s final words echoing in his mind: “A free piggy… Should run free until it dies…”

It was so baffling. He had promised to spare Porquinho’s life, yet Porquinho had unhesitatingly thrown it away. The villain’s final resolve was surprisingly similar to that of the college’s people.

Suddenly, Lu Mingfei’s head started to ache—terribly. He reached up to touch the back of his head and found his hand covered in blood. A small piece of metal was embedded in his skull, having shaved off a bit of his scalp.

When the old palace was blown up, he hadn’t gotten far away enough and had been caught in the explosion, even buried under the rubble for a while. He had felt a bit dizzy at the time, but in his rush to rescue Victoria and Gonzalez, and in his fury over the deaths of the samba girls, his anger had overtaken his pain. Now, looking back, he realized he had fought the entire battle while injured.

“Hope I don’t get a bald spot…” His vision went black, and he collapsed backward.
