Dragon Raja

That power shattered.

The effect was like an airburst of a napalm bomb—flames like a tidal wave radiated in all directions, carrying a powerful shockwave.

The nearest building was dozens of meters from the figure’s position, yet all the glass surrounding him shattered. Flames shot through the windows like a fire-breathing dragon spewing its tongue inside.

When the explosion subsided, the entire lawn around the figure had burned to ash, the ground turning pitch black. The figure stood in the center of a black sun-like totem and began chanting again!

“Is that… ‘King’s Blaze’?” Lancelot muttered.

He suddenly realized that he had never truly understood Chu Zihang’s potential and lineage. It didn’t just inspire respect—it brought fear!

Library control room.

“Dad! Can you activate the ‘Decree’ now?” Manstein shouted into the phone. “That dragon… it must be a dragon… is unleashing high-risk Yanlings all over campus!”

“Are you kidding me? The ‘Decree’ won’t work on someone with a higher lineage than mine! That dragon…” the old cowboy’s voice also trembled, “seems to be a first-generation.”

“A first-generation… isn’t that… one of the Four Great Kings?” Manstein was sweating profusely.

Schneider’s expression was grim. He gripped the microphone tightly, silent. He was at his wit’s end, unsure of what instructions to give to the thousands of students on campus.

“Where the hell are you?” Mai finally got through on the phone.

“Mai, are you still not finished? It seems like that Caesar Gattuso guy is giving you a hard time.” The voice on the other end was lazy, slurred, as if the person was chewing something crispy.

“Stop eating chips! Everything here is a complete mess! There’s a burning figure setting fires everywhere, erupting like a steel furnace about to explode—this place will be flattened soon!” Mai shouted furiously. “Is this part of your plan? Next time, can you not reveal your plans bit by bit like squeezing toothpaste? Tell me everything!”

“A man like a steel furnace?” The sound of chewing chips suddenly stopped, and you could imagine the chips falling out of the lazy mouth.

“Impossible! Absolutely impossible!” The woman on the phone said loudly.

Caesar grabbed the phone from Mai’s hand. “I can confirm that it’s exactly as Ms. Sakato said—the man like a steel furnace is less than a hundred meters from us.”

“Who are you?”

“Caesar Gattuso, third year at Cassell College.” Caesar handed the phone back to Mai.

“Hey! Mai, did you get it wrong? Aren’t you supposed to be fighting that guy to the death?” the woman said.

“We can fight to the death later! At this rate, we’re all going to die! I can’t even retreat now!” Mai looked at the fiery orb blossoming on the nearby lawn. “He’s already evolved from a steel furnace into a fire-breathing dragon!”

She quickly ducked, and scorching flames shot through the window above her, a two-meter-long flame snake flickering and then vanishing.

“Take a video with your phone for me!” the woman said anxiously.

“Chips girl, sometimes you are unbelievably fussy!” Mai cursed as she held the phone up to the window to record.

The high-speed network quickly transmitted her footage to Chicago. The support team in Chicago was stunned and jumped out of their seats, yelling, “Damn it! This is definitely not a normal Norton… This is… an enraged Constantine! Did you do something to provoke him?”

“I don’t know, I have no knowledge of the Dragon’s nervous system! Come up with something quick!” Mai was furious. “Is your plan to bury all of us here?”

“No way! The one appearing should have been a normal Norton!”

“But now he’s on a killing spree! To use an old cliché, it’s ‘kill any who stand in his way, gods or men!’”

“Hey, are you still there?” Mai shouted, but suddenly there was no response.

“Still here!” The woman’s voice was filled with frantic urgency—something very rare given her usual style of control and composure. “I’m making an international request to access the database to look up information on out-of-control Dragon Kings. This is an extreme case! Very rare! I never expected this to happen—I wasn’t prepared at all!”

“What exactly is an out-of-control Dragon King?”

“Awakened by the wrong person, in the wrong way—his power hasn’t stabilized, and his body hasn’t matured yet. Though he may seem incredibly strong, it’s because he can’t control his own power. His body won’t be able to handle it, and it could collapse at any time!”

“What’s the result of such a collapse?”

“What’s the result of a collapse for the King of Bronze and Fire? It’s obviously the ‘Yanling: Dragon Candle’! It’s just a question of how extensive the area of destruction will be.”

“How extensive?”

“I don’t know, but I think it’s certain to flatten the college.”

“Then… hurry up! Come up with something! Aren’t you always a fast thinker?”

“I was just taking a bubble bath.”

“What does taking a bubble bath have to do with this?” Mai was stunned.

“That’s why all my communication devices were in the hotel safe. Now I can only use my laptop to go online, trying to link to the core server… Damn it! The network is prompting me to pay $25 a night for access. I need to enter the last four digits of my credit card… Hold on, I need to find my credit card… and grab a bathrobe!”

“You always stay in those garbage hotels! Call me back quickly!” Mai angrily hung up the phone.

A few minutes later, the door of a hotel room in Chicago was kicked open.
