Dragon Raja 2; Chapter 197: Deadly Sword for Every Dragon King (9)

Dragon Raja 2

“Hah! Are you that afraid of me?” Lu Mingze laughed. “But you still agreed, didn’t you? Why? What made you make such a huge sacrifice? Was it for Chen Motong? For Chu Zihang? For Chen Wenwen? Those reasons are really weak, bro! Your girl is about to marry someone else, and you’re still risking your life for her—how foolish! She’s not even yours; why do you care whether she lives or dies? You should have stayed on the subway and escaped alone. Why did you come back?”

“I don’t want her to die,” Lu Mingfei said softly. “The principal said it—these are the only things I have. Even if they’re not much, or even if they’re garbage, I still don’t want to lose them, right? I don’t want to have nothing at all.”

“Brother, you’re actually very afraid of being alone…”

“Am I? Maybe… yeah, when I think about it, it really scares me. I don’t want to always be alone…” Lu Mingfei’s pupils began to dilate. He was really about to die. He wasn’t Chu Zihang; he didn’t have a dragonized body, and the impalement wound had caused massive blood loss.

Lu Mingze sighed gently, hugging Lu Mingfei from behind, pressing their cheeks together. Then, suddenly gritting his teeth, he said, “Alright, I understand what you want now. Rest, leave the rest to me. I’m delighted to see the fire of desire finally blazing in your heart! Those who oppose us, let them die—this is our law! Something for nothing, 60%… fusion!”

“One last question—did you sneak a look at the message Nono sent me?”

“Oh dear, you found out after all. It was for your own good. Hopes that won’t come true are toxic, you know, just like the matches little girls use to keep warm,” Lu Mingze whispered. “But what needs to burn will still burn…”

Lu Mingfei’s eyelids fell heavily, covering his pupils, as if he had fallen asleep.

Lu Mingfei slowly opened his eyes, like waking from a deep sleep, or being reborn after death. The world became exceptionally clear in his eyes—every tiny detail, every feather, every scale was reflected in his pupils, down to the minutest detail. The sound was also different. If a thousand-person orchestra was playing in front of him, he could hear even a slight scratch of the bow on a specific string of a particular violin. Everything felt new; he looked up at the sky as if he were an ancient person looking at the stars. Time seemed to slow down; he got up calmly and smoothly, pulling out the steel rod in his abdomen and tossing it aside. The wound healed instantly, without any process.

Unlike Chu Zihang’s blood burst, where flames seemed to surge around him, Lu Mingfei felt no power flow—only calm. Yet, all the Vipers suddenly backed away, silently suspended in the air, as if there were a large circular space around him that could not be intruded upon.

Lu Mingfei tried slowly raising his right hand and swung it through the air. The swarm of Vipers instantly scattered, as if he had casually slashed them apart with some kind of blade energy. These creatures feared him. The circular space wasn’t a domain but a territory—his territory, filled with his authority.

He laughed in delight. Yes, he had grasped power and authority, as if he held the whole world in his hands—standing on the peak, looking down at the mountains, breathing in the world—those who opposed him would perish!

He extended his right hand, fingers spread, towards the dancing Dragon King, as if to crush the dragon under his palm. “Cancel!”

The majestic dance of the Dragon King suddenly showed a slight hesitation.

“Cancel!”

“Cancel!”

Each shout was sterner than the last. It didn’t sound like a Yanling—it was too simple to be a Yanling, more like an ordinary command. Yet, increasingly overwhelming gravity bore down on the Dragon King. On the second “cancel,” the massive dragon wings could no longer support the Dragon King’s body, and he crashed heavily onto the platform. At the third “cancel,” the enormous, majestic creature seemed to be bound by an invisible net, struggling and rolling on the platform, roaring in fury.

The Dragon King’s “Shiva’s Dance of Annihilation,” which even he could not stop, had been forcibly interrupted!

The Dragon King let out a long roar, his scales standing on end. He suddenly stood up, breaking free of the invisible restraint. His massive golden eyes glimmered with changing light, reflecting Lu Mingfei’s image. All the electric arcs and molten iron in the domain swirled around the dragon with the storm. The domain of death expanded again, covering the entire space—every Viper fell in flames. It was a rain of molten gold.

This was the first time the dragon truly tried to attack; what almost crushed Chu Zihang earlier was just his defense. Now he was serious.

Lu Mingfei pulled out the swords and placed them back in the scabbard one by one. He strapped “Seven Deadly Sins” to his back and stepped into the domain of death.

A new email arrived: “When that time comes, the coal mines deep underground will also ignite, and the world will shine because of fire.”

“A message from the boss—it seems the climax of the finale is here,” Chips put down her wine glass. “Let Old Luo start… no, let him finish!”

Mai nodded slightly and dialed the phone.

“Understood. I will deliver the final blow myself,” Old Luo hung up the phone and gripped the mouse again.

Dozens of people surrounded the giant dragon, light arcs, black energy, pets, and sword glows covering the massive creature. It roared, drenched in blood, repeatedly unleashing group attacks. The deep purple death aura affected the warriors, paladins, and druids attacking it in close quarters. But amidst all this tension, the leader of the dragon slayers remained still. It was a rogue clad entirely in black, sitting at the top of a distant hill, empty-handed, watching the battle. He seemed determined to just observe.

But finally, he stood up—the top rogue on the leaderboard, “Lu Mingfei Ricardo.” He equipped the “Seven Deadly Sins,” holding two swords in his hands as he descended the hill. Old Luo had finally made his move, signaling the arrival of the finale. The rogue’s “Killing Spree” was activated, and cheers erupted in the guild channel.

Yanling: Blood-Drinking Scythe, activate!

Yanling: Immaculate Ground, activate!

Caesar and Parsi stood back to back, releasing their Yanlings simultaneously. Both being wind-based Yanlings, their domains didn’t clash but fused and expanded. With them as the center, sharp, transparent shadows scattered densely, like thousands of invisible short arrows shooting out. They were rapidly flowing winds, air bullets that pierced through the Vipers’ bone wings, reducing them to dust before they even fell.

Caesar had the crossbow bolt in his mouth, and the philosopher’s stone inside the quartz glowed with a heartbeat-like rhythm, attracting every Viper in the building like delicious flesh. Tangsen leaned exhaustedly against the rolling door. The pressure suddenly eased, and he could finally take a full breath. Before him were heaps of Viper bones—beautiful and terrifying skeletal fragments, some still twitching.
